I don't think I can give up the rotating bezel. It's the one thing that makes it unique from other smart watches. I have the Watch 4 classic and also still have the first galaxy watch.
The rotating bezel is why i didnt go with that version for the 4. I can def see why people like it. It just seemed like a issue to me at my job where id be bumping it all the time.
@@CrypticApathy well, yes... but it's the same for me with or without the bezel. I'm a clumsy guy so I usually bump any watch regardless of the situation. That's why when I was a kid, my dad only bought me a watch once, and never bought another one due to my clumsiness. So i just have to be very careful. The bezel actually serves as another layer of protection foe me. 😁😁😁
@@CrypticApathy The bezel is not that sensitive that it would move if bumped. I have never activated my watch by bumping the bezel. I find it actually helps protect the watch face from bumping. But to each his own.
he isnt all that wrong cause if you have the LTE model of these watches you dont need your phone with you cause you can do 90% of all things your phone can do on the watch plus the watch has a longer battery life its bascially a minature phone on your wrist
@gabrielcornea9119 but they have basic phone functions such as calling and texting and even a few multimedia related apps for LTE models so technically they fit the smartphone category cause of that

Tip which wasnt mentioned.... No crown on the watch 5 pro but you can use your finger around the round edges to scroll around like the crown used to do.
My Galaxy Watch 4 classic just updated to OneUi 4.5 few days ago. So it almost the same, different in material and bigger battery life for watch 5 pro. I stay with my watch 4 classic 46mm.
I got a great deal from Samsung, so I upgraded. I do miss the rotating bezel, but using my finger works very good as well. Also, using my watch bands from the 4 was great.
Also the user experience is way much softer, due to the updated software…he made it look like it’s the same! I have the 5pro in gray titanium and it’s stunning!
Temp sensor is not activated yet from Samsung. The blood pressure feature is also not activated yet unless you do the developer method of installing it. The GW5Pro just has the haptic response of a “bezel”, but you can only use your index finger to turn it. It’s ok as I’m adapting to it from a GW3.
Not a big thing but you can download routes to it and it also has a track back feature so you can go back to the point you started from. I read one review that said the heart monitor was more accurate but dont know how true this is.
Good comparison Saki! Based soly on your video, the GW4 looks to have a much shaper screen. The GW5P looks slightly dull. Too bad the watch is too large for me. My hubby might like it though. I'm on the fence with my 40mm GW5. I have a GW4 Lassic 42mm & the watchface _appears_ larger. Maybe just an illusion...

@@poligonzo5300 watch 5 pro van also import route gpx files . Via Track Route tile on the watch easily import gpx route. Then without a phone with you can follow the route and also track back if you get lost.
The biggest disappointment for me is that Watch5 Pro has no anti-glare coating on its sapphire glass, which makes the colors less vivid than Watch4 Classic.
The design is a more modern look. The biggest reason is to upgrade is the 3 day battery life. Traveling with the classic was a problem as the classic has a slow and unreliable charge when using the reverse charge from the phone.
Great informative video. I feel the bezel is very useful to me. At least you have the choice. Useful when in the shower or swimming pool etc. Battery life doesn't affect me as I charge every night whilst asleep. I don't need the watch to tell me how good my sleep was. Old enough to know that by myself. I'll go with the 4
Samaung made a massive drawback! Without the rotating bezel, it feels so simple, whereas I loved the galaxy watch only for their cool design which is now no more, I am going for the classic 4
The watch 5 Pro has a touch bezel. You can swipe around the bezel and it acts like the rotating bezel of the watch 4 classic. I have both watches and although I really like the rotating bezel it wasn't a deal breaker to lose it for titanium and sapphire glass upgrades.
titanium is actually more scratchy and for me rotating bezel is epic so i pass watch 5 pro, dont have problems with battery life anyway, and what is more important, watch 5 pro looks like woman watch, 4classic looks much better on the wrist, off course its my opinion only
Great comparison! 👍 I expect a software update of the Galaxy watch 4 and then there won't be any software differences between the two which hopefully contains slight battery improvements for the Galaxy watch 4 classic. For me personally , although I am a hardcore tech enthusiast, the upgrade to the Galaxy watch 5 pro isn't worth it.
2 days ago I traded in my Z-Crease 3 for a Z-Crease 4. Watch 4 classic to watch 5 pro. Bought the Buds 2 Pro and Samsung standing case with S-pen. I would not recommend anyone upgrade from the Crease 3 to the 4, differences are very miniscule. But the Classic 4 to the 5 pro is a very worthy upgrade. I know the differences on paper are small but this is such a better watch. From battery life to not having any overheating problems which plagued mine from day one and just being buttery smooth compared to the classic. I am getting used to the lack of rotating bezel fast and to me, the screen looks much better without that raised bezel, the screen looks and feels a lot bigger. Just my 2 cents

@Philip L Watch sapphire is the most expensive type of watch glass as it is incredibly hard and therefore durable. This means sapphire is the best material to protect the watch dial against shock.

There is nothing on this earth that will get me to give up my rotating bezel. It is the singular selling point that made that version (and Samsung watches in general) the only choice for me. Originally had a Gear S3 Frontier, and now have a Watch 4 Classic.
They are not giving enough money back for the watch classic. The battery upgrade is not worth $200. No way!! Same processor, same features and no bezel. Makes no sense.

It's a better improvement in my book the 4 classic nothing but problems overheating bad battery the occasion when rotating the bezel nothing happens but starts to lag I won't mention the LTE version even worse I'm enjoying the GW5p so far it's going strong plus the solid 3 days 👍 Nice feels good not to have charge every single day the no rotating bezel barely miss it positive side thanks to the purchase of the fold 4 didn't have to pay plus the included wireless charger duo was good bonus included the S deals are really nice

It’s funny that the Samsung preorder deal includes a wireless travel charger. It works great for phones but not with the GW5Pro due to the watch band LOL. Oh well I ended up using the fast charger power supply and 3d printed out a charging stand. Perfect for now as I adapt to it from a GW3. I miss the bezel. Not a big fan of the Google tech built in. My old watchfaces were not compatible with the GW5Pro, which sucks and the watch face store is pointing to Google play store instead of the Galaxy store. Kinda irked about losing my paid watchfaces. The temp sensor is not activated by Samsung yet, and the Blood Pressure feature is still not available unless you go through the Developer method of installing the version that enable Blood Pressure via Samsung Health monitor.
The bezel is the only reason I stick to galaxy watches for years now. When I'm riding with my gloves on or it's raining I can open SPay with button push, select the card and even enter pin with the bezel while filling fuel
Really nice comparison. I purchased the Watch 4 using Samsung promo credits for around $50. I enjoy the rotating bezel feature. The only way I would upgrade would be on a great deal plus trade in. I have heard that the next generation of watches might have a blood glucose monitor feature. I would be in the market for that. Please let us know when Samsung drops a great deal on the Watch 5.
My $100 Amazon Refurbished Gear S3 Frontier is 2yrs older now since I bought it & I wear mine while wade fishing in Saltwater, in the rain & extreme heat in SE TX. Not a single issue & still looks & performs brand new. I'm still getting 2.5 days battery life but I just throw it on charge every night. I may get the 5 Pro since I can get it for $200. Samsung is giving me $175 trade in for my S3. $75 more than I paid for it 2yrs ago. I love larger & thicker watches.
Grab a refurbished in great like new condition off Amazon or eBay for around $120 or less. I'm wearing my S3 Frontier now & love it. Had it on for 7hrs & still showing 2 days 1hr battery left. 🤟
I returned my 46mm 4 classic September last year due to the pathetic battery and just went back to my galaxy watch instead as it got a 4 day battery life. I was waiting for the 5 to upgrade, but due to the pathetic design, no bezel and hideous black finger bezel that could have been screen real estate, seems like i have to go and get the 4 classic again instead. Can't believe they downgraded the watch so much, slapped a "pro" on it and put the price upto $800(Australian). 4 classic 46mm is now $400 and will definitely drop down to $300 soon as the 5 hits shelves, so i guess i'll have to sacrifice abit of battery for the same exact software plus a rotating bezel and $500 off.

I ordered a Grade A refurbished Watch 4 Classic yesterday instead of a Watch 5 just for the rotating bezel.. the new watch 5 release makes the watch 4 a no brainer to me with the reduction in prices and clearance sales coming up
Hello. I love watching your videos and learning as much as possible about my Samsung Galaxy devices. I'm hoping you can help me with a Galaxy Watch 4 problem. For some reason, Bixby decided to take a long vacation and has not yet returned! In other words, Bixby on my watch no longer works. It seems that the microphone within the app isn't working. I'm pretty sure that it's a setting that needs to be adjusted, but I haven't figured out what that setting is. I have also tried Google for the watch, and the result is the same. I would really appreciate any help you can provide. Thank you for your amazing videos, and please keep them coming!

Probably he forgot to mention. I got my Samsung watch 5 pro and it does scroll when you move the fingers around the edge of the glass and work great imo.
you can still have the rotating feature its just digital now instead of a mechanical rotating bezel so you can still scroll im not sure why but this gets over looked but if you take your finger and scroll it around the edge of the screen you will feel the haptic feedback that mimics the rotating bezel
I still love the rotating bessel it is use when my hand wet after or during running in raining day if using touch screen its abit frustrating so i turn off touch screen and used rotation to select still love watch 4 classic
The best comparison I've see ,i have the Galaxy watch 4 In perfect condition and i love it i don't know ,i think Samsung kind of made a weird upgrade here ,same everything? It's less an upgrade and more of a different watch for different people. I'm into mountain biking so the 5 pros bigger battery and tougher design suits me better than the other galaxy watches. I bet this is Samsung testing out a new kind of watch that will release along side the other watches next year (GW6, GW6 classic and GW6 Pro).

I love my Galaxy Watch 4...had to go for the 40mm lol...my wrist is too small. But if I were a first time buyer I would get the 5....I imagine there's more battery life in the other models as well. You forgot to mention the 5 Pro has a rotating touch bezel and that cool strap you had the other day.

2 Reasons I will NOT be upgrading (although I was looking forward to it, as I have upgraded my Samsung watches every year with a new model). Reason #1. No rotating bezel - it's what made the watch "cool", otherwise they all have a glass screen. # 2. Only Black color is offered in Watch5. I love my Brushed Silver Watch 4. Not sure why Samsung went BACKWARDS this time. I'll just splurge on some newer bands...
I agree, the watch pro 5 is ugly and not shiny like jewelry.. people justify that it must "look" better because it's newer... Even though it obviously doesn't look better and looks worse... Also, a light watch doesn't sound appealing when it's thicker... . And they only dropped the bezel to save money
the only reason i would think of upgrading my Watch4 would be the battery. My watch barely lasts a day and I have to charge it almost every night so having that extra 40% bigger battery would be great. Also I love that the Watch5 supports fast charging that's another thing I don't like about the Watch4 is how slow it takes to charge.
The battery and the lack of fast charging would be the only reason to upgrade. Once you have the gwp5 on your wrist for a couple of hours, you don't mind the lack of a bezel. Just like the old saying: Out of sight, out of mind.
You can’t use your thumb and index finger to rotate the screen. It’s just a touchscreen with haptic response. It’s ok as I’m adapting from a GW3. Lol so many times when I try turning the “bezel” the classic way.
Thr Media Control tile is difficult to manipulate on the Watch 5 Pro without the physical dial. Also, know that the wrist band's new clasp is great, but can't accomodate the Super Fast Wireless Charger Duo that Samsung is promoting with the watch. The Pro's fast charging is very cool!
I love the look of the pro. Really digging the new clasp as well but you are right, it is very difficult to charge the pro on the duo or triple wireless charging pads. The Watch will not lay flat enough on the charger.
Lol, yep what was Samsung thinking about that duo charger. It may work if you use a different watch and that lays flat. I ended up just using the power supply and 3d printed out a charger base. Works great.
I just got it almost 3 days ago still have 19% left classic couldn't get near that. I miss the physical bezel, but can give it up for overall better battery life which was lackluster. Im just glad i got active 2 so my 20mm straps have been used since my first smartwatch
the watch 5 and 5 pro have a digital bezel, so in reality there isn't much of a difference between the two bezels, plus the 5 pro has a "guide" for you finger to use the digital bezel easier. so there isn't really a loss in functionality there
8:24 you have the Touch Haptic Bezel but is not as satisfying as Watch4 Classic physical bezel If you have Watch Active2 and want an upgrade, go straight to Watch5 Pro, is more worthy
Still not the same. It is what is preventing me from upgrading. The touch bezel is available on the regular 4 already, that isn't a new thing. They took away the one thing that buyers of the 4 classic wanted, and specifically bought the 4 classic for.
I upgraded from the 4 classic to the 5 pro. Got a good trade in credit, an extra little discount and have $75 in Samsung Rewards money laying around so I went for it...otherwise, I probably would have waited for the 6.
After shopping around for a classic. I picked up the Samsung 4 classic for only $179. It looks exactly like your classic but in 42mm. Loving it so far. Rotating bezel is pretty cool and nice features. Battery can get through a day with medium use. Only other Samsung watch owned was active 2 and it was awesome. But little outdated at this point. So the upgrade was an amazing deal and couldn’t go wrong with the features and look. Lastly classic 4 doesn’t work with iPhone 12. So I upgraded to S22 ultra just to be able to use the watch. I guess I’m all In with Samsung and Android now. Wahooo. Great video.

Thanks to your video i made the decision to buy a used watch 4 classic lte, used for 154, as opposed to a watch 5 pro new at 244 after discounts and trade in of my current watch (worth 40 bucks on ebay) . i decided the extra 90 bucks was not worth a bigger battery and bluetooth 5.20. I would also loose the bezel
I like the 4 better than the 5 pro, only difference would be battery for me. But I get 2 days of functionality with AOD on, and pretty much all sensors firing, so it's 4 Classic for me. I like the look better, the bezel, rest is same in m opinion. I will not upgrade to 5 no matter how good the deal is. 4 Classic now, or wait til next model.
I just switched back from apple to Samsung. My last Samsung was the note 7. I've since become entwined in the apple echo system. I had apple watch se and need to figure out which watch to get... walmart has the classic 4 on sale for under $200 so I'm leaning towards that. Am I making a mistake going with the 4 classic?
Decided to go with a new 5 in black after bumping the old 4 classic I had in black. The bezel flew off. I barely tapped it. Lost the bearings so no nice clicking feel anymore. The bezel was something to fiddle with but never served any real purpose actually. I have finally come to realize after the 3 classic and 4 classic, that's it's just one more thing to break off or foul up. The bigger and longer lasting battery is also well worth the upgrade even at the loss of the bezel, especially if you have it activated as a cell phone. Ten to eleven hours tops on the old. Two solid days minimum on the 5. What's the point of having a nice smart watch if it's dead in half a day?
it’s possible disable bezel function to use it like dive watch or to track time elapse ? i mean = disable the bezel to dont go to menu when i turn or spin . I want that the bezel even rotating do not go to menu , i need to stay in pointers face to use tachymeter

2 days ago I traded in my Z-Crease 3 for a Z-Crease 4. Watch 4 classic to watch 5 pro. Bought the Buds 2 Pro and Samsung standing case with S-pen. I would not recommend anyone upgrade from the Crease 3 to the 4, differences are very miniscule. But the Classic 4 to the 5 pro is a very worthy upgrade. I know the differences on paper are small but this is such a better watch. From battery life to not having any overheating problems which plagued mine from day one and just being buttery smooth compared to the classic. I am getting used to the lack of rotating bezel fast and to me, the screen looks much better without that raised bezel, the screen looks and feels a lot bigger. Just my 2 cents
@Gordon B thank you! That's what is holding my decision back to either upgrade to Classic 4 or 5, is the Bezel. So hearing someone's opinion that used the bezel is helpful to know how the transition was.
Great content. I just got the watch 4 44mm. I got such a deal from t mobile couldn't pass it up. I'm paying 2.45 a month for the watch plus 13.00 a month for LTE unlimited talk text internet.
The bigger battery is literally the only reason worth upgrading, but even then, it's not that big of a leap. I'm keeping the 4 Classic.
Should I upgrade yes! Number one reason Sapphire Crystal. Number two reason has better battery. And the number three reason it looks nicer. Those are my opinions, thank you for your video and have a wonderful day.

@Philip L Watch sapphire is the most expensive type of watch glass as it is incredibly hard and therefore durable. This means sapphire is the best material to protect the watch dial against shock.

There is nothing on this earth that will get me to give up my rotating bezel. It is the singular selling point that made that version (and Samsung watches in general) the only choice for me. Originally had a Gear S3 Frontier, and now have a Watch 4 Classic.
They are not giving enough money back for the watch classic. The battery upgrade is not worth $200. No way!! Same processor, same features and no bezel. Makes no sense.

It's a better improvement in my book the 4 classic nothing but problems overheating bad battery the occasion when rotating the bezel nothing happens but starts to lag I won't mention the LTE version even worse

It’s funny that the Samsung preorder deal includes a wireless travel charger. It works great for phones but not with the GW5Pro due to the watch band LOL. Oh well I ended up using the fast charger power supply and 3d printed out a charging stand. Perfect for now as I adapt to it from a GW3. I miss the bezel. Not a big fan of the Google tech built in. My old watchfaces were not compatible with the GW5Pro, which sucks and the watch face store is pointing to Google play store instead of the Galaxy store. Kinda irked about losing my paid watchfaces. The temp sensor is not activated by Samsung yet, and the Blood Pressure feature is still not available unless you go through the Developer method of installing the version that enable Blood Pressure via Samsung Health monitor.
The bezel is the only reason I stick to galaxy watches for years now. When I'm riding with my gloves on or it's raining I can open SPay with button push, select the card and even enter pin with the bezel while filling fuel
Really nice comparison. I purchased the Watch 4 using Samsung promo credits for around $50. I enjoy the rotating bezel feature. The only way I would upgrade would be on a great deal plus trade in. I have heard that the next generation of watches might have a blood glucose monitor feature. I would be in the market for that. Please let us know when Samsung drops a great deal on the Watch 5.

My $100 Amazon Refurbished Gear S3 Frontier is 2yrs older now since I bought it & I wear mine while wade fishing in Saltwater, in the rain & extreme heat in SE TX. Not a single issue & still looks & performs brand new.
I'm still getting 2.5 days battery life but I just throw it on charge every night.
I may get the 5 Pro since I can get it for $200. Samsung is giving me $175 trade in for my S3. $75 more than I paid for it 2yrs ago. I love larger & thicker watches.
I really wished my Gear S3 Frontier still worked. It will charge completely and just shut off! It will not stay on.
Grab a refurbished in great like new condition off Amazon or eBay for around $120 or less.

I returned my 46mm 4 classic September last year due to the pathetic battery and just went back to my galaxy watch instead as it got a 4 day battery life.
I was waiting for the 5 to upgrade, but due to the pathetic design, no bezel and hideous black finger bezel that could have been screen real estate, seems like i have to go and get the 4 classic again instead.
Can't believe they downgraded the watch so much, slapped a "pro" on it and put the price upto $800(Australian).
4 classic 46mm is now $400 and will definitely drop down to $300 soon as the 5 hits shelves, so i guess i'll have to sacrifice abit of battery for the same exact software plus a rotating bezel and $500 off.

Hello. I love watching your videos and learning as much as possible about my Samsung Galaxy devices. I'm hoping you can help me with a Galaxy Watch 4 problem. For some reason, Bixby decided to take a long vacation and has not yet returned! In other words, Bixby on my watch no longer works. It seems that the microphone within the app isn't working. I'm pretty sure that it's a setting that needs to be adjusted, but I haven't figured out what that setting is. I have also tried Google for the watch, and the result is the same. I would really appreciate any help you can provide. Thank you for your amazing videos, and please keep them coming!

The 5 doesn't have the rotating vessel but it has a touch sensitive scroller in the edge of the glass

Probably he forgot to mention. I got my Samsung watch 5 pro and it does scroll when you move the fingers around the edge of the glass and work great imo.

you can still have the rotating feature its just digital now instead of a mechanical rotating bezel so you can still scroll im not sure why but this gets over looked but if you take your finger and scroll it around the edge of the screen you will feel the haptic feedback that mimics the rotating bezel
I still love the rotating bessel it is use when my hand wet after or during running in raining day if using touch screen its abit frustrating so i turn off touch screen and used rotation to select still love watch 4 classic

It's less an upgrade and more of a different watch for different people. I'm into mountain biking so the 5 pros bigger battery and tougher design suits me better than the other galaxy watches.
I bet this is Samsung testing out a new kind of watch that will release along side the other watches next year (GW6, GW6 classic and GW6 Pro).

Good review, but you forgot the route tracking option on the 5 pro which we don't have on the 4 and 5 regular.
I love my Galaxy Watch 4...had to go for the 40mm lol...my wrist is too small. But if I were a first time buyer I would get the 5....I imagine there's more battery life in the other models as well. You forgot to mention the 5 Pro has a rotating touch bezel and that cool strap you had the other day.

2 Reasons I will NOT be upgrading (although I was looking forward to it, as I have upgraded my Samsung watches every year with a new model). Reason #1. No rotating bezel - it's what made the watch "cool", otherwise they all have a glass screen. # 2. Only Black color is offered in Watch5. I love my Brushed Silver Watch 4. Not sure why Samsung went BACKWARDS this time. I'll just splurge on some newer bands...
I agree, the watch pro 5 is ugly and not shiny like jewelry.. people justify that it must "look" better because it's newer... Even though it obviously doesn't look better and looks worse... Also, a light watch doesn't sound appealing when it's thicker... . And they only dropped the bezel to save money

the only reason i would think of upgrading my Watch4 would be the battery. My watch barely lasts a day and I have to charge it almost every night so having that extra 40% bigger battery would be great. Also I love that the Watch5 supports fast charging that's another thing I don't like about the Watch4 is how slow it takes to charge.
The battery and the lack of fast charging would be the only reason to upgrade. Once you have the gwp5 on your wrist for a couple of hours, you don't mind the lack of a bezel. Just like the old saying: Out of sight, out of mind.

My 4 will last a full day easy, but I have to recharge it at night for sure. If i slept with it at night it would be almost dead in the morning.
Not missing the bezel, had to send the watch twice for warranty repair because of the bezel.
I'm keeping my 4 and also getting the 5 pro i got a great deal.

Thr Media Control tile is difficult to manipulate on the Watch 5 Pro without the physical dial. Also, know that the wrist band's new clasp is great, but can't accomodate the Super Fast Wireless Charger Duo that Samsung is promoting with the watch. The Pro's fast charging is very cool!
I love the look of the pro. Really digging the new clasp as well but you are right, it is very difficult to charge the pro on the duo or triple wireless charging pads. The Watch will not lay flat enough on the charger.
Lol, yep what was Samsung thinking about that duo charger. It may work if you use a different watch and that lays flat. I ended up just using the power supply and 3d printed out a charger base. Works great.
You can use the rotating functionality on the 5 pro as well, but it's software based

I just got it almost 3 days ago still have 19% left classic couldn't get near that. I miss the physical bezel, but can give it up for overall better battery life which was lackluster. Im just glad i got active 2 so my 20mm straps have been used since my first smartwatch

the watch 5 and 5 pro have a digital bezel, so in reality there isn't much of a difference between the two bezels, plus the 5 pro has a "guide" for you finger to use the digital bezel easier. so there isn't really a loss in functionality there

After shopping around for a classic. I picked up the Samsung 4 classic for only $179. It looks exactly like your classic but in 42mm. Loving it so far. Rotating bezel is pretty cool and nice features. Battery can get through a day with medium use. Only other Samsung watch owned was active 2 and it was awesome. But little outdated at this point. So the upgrade was an amazing deal and couldn’t go wrong with the features and look. Lastly classic 4 doesn’t work with iPhone 12. So I upgraded to S22 ultra just to be able to use the watch. I guess I’m all In with Samsung and Android now. Wahooo. Great video.

The reason why the Watch 5 Pro is lighter is because it is made of titanium, which is lighter than stainless steel that is used in the Watch 4 Classic
Also the user experience is much softer, due to the updated software…he made it look like it’s the same! I have the 5pro in gray titanium and it’s stunning!

Thanks to your video i made the decision to buy a used watch 4 classic lte, used for 154, as opposed to a watch 5 pro new at 244 after discounts and trade in of my current watch (worth 40 bucks on ebay) .
i decided the extra 90 bucks was not worth a bigger battery and bluetooth 5.20. I would also loose the bezel
Thinking of buying a new smart watch..Is the watch 4 classic better than samsung watch 5? Not the pro version.
I like the 4 better than the 5 pro, only difference would be battery for me. But I get 2 days of functionality with AOD on, and pretty much all sensors firing, so it's 4 Classic for me.
I like the look better, the bezel, rest is same in m opinion. I will not upgrade to 5 no matter how good the deal is.

I just switched back from apple to Samsung. My last Samsung was the note 7. I've since become entwined in the apple echo system. I had apple watch se and need to figure out which watch to get... walmart has the classic 4 on sale for under $200 so I'm leaning towards that. Am I making a mistake going with the 4 classic?
The 5 pro does have a digital rotating bezel
Decided to go with a new 5 in black after bumping the old 4 classic I had in black. The bezel flew off. I barely tapped it. Lost the bearings so no nice clicking feel anymore. The bezel was something to fiddle with but never served any real purpose actually.
I have finally come to realize after the 3 classic and 4 classic, that's it's just one more thing to break off or foul up. The bigger and longer lasting battery is also well worth the upgrade even at the loss of the bezel, especially if you have it activated as a cell phone. Ten to eleven hours tops on the old. Two solid days minimum on the 5. What's the point of having a nice smart watch if it's dead in half a day?

The bezel is touch operated... it doesn't rotate, but you can touch around the edge of the bezel to get the same effect.

Battery is so important in a watch. The pro is out, way to big /thick for my wrist. I don't care about the bezel either... so had to upgrade.
