My most recent panning success was finishing the 2018 hourglass holiday face palette in its entirety, started focusing on it in January and finished it last week. The blushes took the longest to finish. I also finished a bareminerals full size Bronzer today 🎉
I don’t cut open or scrape out or re-press products (unless they break when they were dropped.) If I can’t use it how it’s intended, or if I have to expose it to air, or if the packaging hinders me from using it, I pretty much just cut myself some slack and call it done. That So Juicy gloss would have been out so much earlier if it were me! But it is satisfying to see all your empty components, you did a great job! I used up a couple of products last year, and I hit pan on a few, but my biggest success was I used all of my eyeshadow palettes at least 5 times each, and some of them 15+ times! I think overall it was 165 uses, which for me was a lot! This year I have started doing Deck of Panning, and a lip focused project pan as well as a use it up project. I think those will add some variety. I’m excited!
My goal for the end of the year was to finish my powder, my blue eyeliner and my fenty cream gloss. I have finished them all and am using some others with the goal to have them in my project pan but I don't feel the pressure now and have been playing around with things. You inspired me to work on my Becca capri coast so now it is used and loved and is something I plan to work on for next year alongside my pan that face palette. Congrats on getting two very tough lip items out and finishing a bunch more!
Those tiny lip samples take so long to finish, I don't understand it either!! I had a couple of KVD ones that took MONTHS of consistent use each. I still have one more to use and I'm kind of dreading it...
What success! Yayyyyy! You inspire me with your project panting. You really stuck it out with the 2 lip products LOL I hope you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Can't wait to see next year's projects.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Awe thank you!! Yes some items can be a bit of a struggle but I’m happy to have some things used up & gone!! Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to you as well!!
Yay! It’s so satisfying to finish products. I threw away a couple products in my pan before I could finish them. I just hated the way they felt on my lips or for a foundation a funky smell. I was so excited to roll in a Lancôme juicy tube, it was just so sticky and not like I remembered loving it, oh nostalgia.
Yeah sometimes things just have to go! No point in taking your energy away from products you could be enjoying so much more! Glad you decided to toss a few things that weren’t working 😊 I wonder if the Lancôme lip formula changed or if it’s more that your preferences have changed?!
Great update to round out the year! I had two more things I was so close to finishing but I’ve had Covid for a week and haven’t touched them, so it’s down to the wire to finish them by the 31st. Merry Christmas!
Awe I’m sorry to hear you got sick! I hope you’re feeling better now! Even if you don’t finish them this year, they will be done very early in the New Year for sure!
Thank you!! 🥰 I’ve been keeping things super simple with my skin - both makeup and skincare wise lately! Either no foundation or very minimal (in this video I was wearing the Colourpop Pretty Fresh Tinted Moisturizer) and for skincare in the morning I just wash with water on a face cloth & whatever sunscreen I’m using at the time. At night, I double cleanse everyday with Pacifica Wake Up Beautiful balm & Pacifica Detox cleanser. Then slather my face in First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair cream! Some days I will use a hyaluronic acid or chemical exfoliant - maybe once a week. But yeah, just keeping things incredibly minimal lately and I think it’s been great for my skin!!
I wear makeup a couple days a week. The thought of having to take it off at the end of the day sometimes puts me off - its such a slog. You must go through so much makeup!
@@annafe9920yes!! I wear makeup most days because it makes me feel good and helps my mood, but I hate having to take it off at the end of the night. It really doesn’t take that long but it just bothers me some days😂

Those are massive accomplishments!! Way to go finishing up the hourglass palette and bronzer!!
You have WAAAYYYY more patience than I do… I would have tossed that Colourpop gloss the second it started oozing out! Congrats on the great progress!

Loved watching your project this year! 17 empties is amazing - I think I managed about 8 all year! 😆

Your skin is looking amazing! Is it makeup or skincare making it look so good, and if so what products!?

I am trying to use up a lip gloss with thr sticker falling off. Lol good job with your project
Good luck!!
How many times I wear makeup each year: 365 (except for leap years, then it is 366😂😂)
That is amazing!
Id say a good 60-65 for me
Same 😂❤

Yeah empty lipstick and wow 26 uses on the sample
Pretty wild how long that dang thing took hahaha 🤣
I didn't finish all my project panning goals either but I'm thrilled about how much I used up and got out of my collection 🤍❤️💜🖤
Way to go!! I’m thrilled for you too!!
