In a round/curved monitor with a 5760×1080 screen resolution (for an aspect-ratio of 16:3, or 48:9, or 144:27), an 8-Player Split-Screen for Nintendo DS would be completely perfect, since those ultrawide monitors are 4× wider than 4:3 (which is the DS's exact aspect-ratio) screens, while having 2 screens (per system) doubles it to supporting 8×2 sub-screens and still no stretching nor leaving any blank bars on that screen! Truly mind-blowing if you ask me.
That's actually a really exciting prospect to me. After finding that 12 Mario Kart Wii instances at a 4:3 ratio fit perfectly into a 16:9 presentation, I've been interested in creating optimal layouts for a given screen (and finding screens best-suited to the challenge as well). My setup for this video actually uses a custom program I wrote to automatically find and use an optimal tiling to maximize screen real estate usage while keeping all instances the same size. The script should support a 16:3 display (really any display, arbitrarily) right out of the box, automatically finding and using that perfect layout. Dang you’re PC is strong and I do know all about this local wireless but the fact you got 8 without slowdowns is amazing my stuff is a low end😭 and yet I play Mario kart Wii and 8 Cemu and Deluxe multiplayer JUST fine.

@@leobourn I removed the window frames and positioned the instances using a custom tool I wrote: github.com/SMarioMan/ArrangeInstances Unfortunately, this doesn’t remove the menu bar because of the way melonDS renders it. To remove it, I made a custom build of melonDS to toggle it with a hotkey: github.com/SMarioMan/melonDS
