    Just found your channel, Big Mike. As a very happy parts customer of many years, it was fun watching you at work. Nice camping rig... next mod a dual cab to carry the kids in?😊👍🍁

      Thanks Michael, it is definitely a fun hauler for our somewhat local runs, but I am probably just going to buy a medium duty crew cab truck like an international or something to build a dedicated hauler. After an hour or so in the deuce in july or climbing hills the cool factor turns into the hell factor 🤣🤣🤣

    I really like the truck, I think this is the perfect setup because I believe the vehicle has 0 electronics and things that could fail.

      Its good, and you are correct about nothing electric, it is however slow with only 134 hp, and its not comfortable by any means.

    The army trucks can always get the job done and they are always built for hauling loads and there pretty reliable

      Thanks, I tried to over build it so there was no chance of failure.

    Hey sir, you reckon the m35a2 would be able to pull a triple axle camper that weighs 20,000 lbs all up? I know I won't pull it at 70 mph......that isn't what I'm looking for. I just wanna pull to campsite in an cool old truck. I hardly ever go over 2 hours away

      I have pulled about 19,700 before. The truck did it, but it was slow going. extra slow taking off, and forget climbing any hills. Even the slightest up hill slows it down. Just crossing bridges over the Delaware river, which are not very steep or long I would be in the right lane with the hazards on with speeds creeping down between 35 and 40 MPH hauling the almost 20K lbs.
      The big problem with these trucks is the 134 hp. If your not climbing hills and grades you could probably do it, although it might not be fun. Just make sure your trailer brakes are hooked up and working because brakes on a deuce are notoriously bad and dangerous.

    a regular commercial hitch would have fit without modification.

    What size and type tires are on that truck?

    • @bigmikesmotorpool9263
      @bigmikesmotorpool9263  3 роки тому +2

      The tires are G286 good year 11.00-20. Not the most common military tire, but they were used on a hand full of 2.5 ton trucks from what I could tell.
