this song is just 'we found a pretty cool riff, let's repeat it over and over but adding more instruments and louder, angrier guitars' and y'know what that's completely fine because it's great

"A song that gives every person the same feeling with different chords is a masterpiece, but a song that gives everyone a different feeling with the same chord is something a masterpiece could only dream of achieving."
This reminds me of the final campaign mission of Halo: Reach. It has that bleak, solem vibe the mission has,as you make your last stand against the onslaught of The Covenant before eventually being overwhelmed but if you're going down, you'll go down fighting and take as many of them as you can with you.
Noble Six sacrificed himself to allow The Pillar of Autum to leave. Esentially dooming himself but allowing Chief and Cortana to escape and go onto save the galaxy.
In the game final station you have to run home to who I was guessing a daughter and yeah you run to you daughters house and the further you go the more you realize all the people around you are maybe dead then you make it there it's starts of slow then you read a note and it's a drawing for you and you go to the living room and succumb to the illness and get you brains blown out
It’s probably a bit too energetic for that particular mission but I get what you mean. The last mission always elicited a feeling of acceptance in my mind. You were on your own, out of energy, out of ammo, out of time. That was what made it so hopelessly bleak. But despite that you pressed on till your last breath, knowing it was hopeless, but taking as many covenant soldiers down with you as you could. You accepted your inevitable death, but you wouldn’t go down easily.
This just reminds me of Mason getting shot in Call of Duty Black Ops 2 and it makes me sad, but also gives me the sudden realization that all good things come to an end eventually
This song boils down to "The zombies are coming, we are all doomed, and that realisation of how much danger we are in is just dawning on us. My God....."
For me this track gives an entire fountain of hopelessness and despair feelings, and all of this because of the movie. Zombie apocalipse worlds usually gives me a horror that you must run forever until you've get completely overwhelmed and cannot run even more, and this is really frightening, because you know that someday you will get overwhelmed. After that thoughts it feels like there is no escape from all the time running and screaming death... This is why i get such a horrific emotions while listening to this.
Even though I think 28 Weeks Later REALLY dropped the ball in comparison to 28DL, I do really love the way this theme was used in both films. You have Jim's rampage, the act of brutality that blurs the line between heroism and derangement, almost contrasted beat for beat by Don's cowardly yet realistic and human abandoning of his wife. I really wish they spent more time with the quiet dread and complications of living in a post-zombie world. You don't often see media that acknowledges that the new normal that follows an apocalypse might be very familiar.
I thought they were going to make a 28 month later movie because of the ending of 28 weeks later when they are in Paris. Idk tho 1 month later I'm surprised people are still watching this movie
How was don coward from abondoning his wife? He literally had no choice, the house were full of infected runners & they are contagious, Even if he brings her wife it would slow him down & they would die together as those infected has 0 stamina that would chase you untill death. They aren't like the walking dead zombies
@@inaworld161 Just because it was reasonable doesn't mean it wasn't cowardly, nor is it inherently bad to be a coward. Cowardice keeps people alive in the real world. You'll notice one thing about all the real-world legends and heroes you've heard about: most of them are dead. I suppose you can make an argument for the negative connotation of the word, sure, but that's also from an era where people used words like "honor" to lure people to their deaths, so, y'know. Played this for a dnd game, they were essentially escaping a ton of zombies and had gotten through a metal door before they heard it close behimd them with a npc i had help them. They loved this npc but i wanted to give them a good ending, so they closed the door and locked it. All my players trued to open the door but could only look through the window as most of their stuff was on a boat. I described as their friend rushed forward slicing down one after the other but they kept pushing her closer to the door, i described as they could here her screaming for them to run. The though was this was gonna be a part where they have to run to gegt out of the sunken city. The song conveintly ended once everyone was on the boat. But describing as zombies thrashed towards them into the water and having one of my players hanging from the boat and being pulled into the water before finally escaping was one of the best times playing dnd
That's so awesome!! I'm actually starting my own zombie dnd campaign in about two weeks so its nice to see someone else had the same idea to use this song

Don't you even dare Remind me of what happened back in Stalker 3 years Ago Heavy
Idk why, every time I hear this song, I imagine zombie apocalypse. When a horde of walkers are running after you!
It's from 28 days later
@@dxbraskywasnt it also used in an ep of walking dead, i could swear i remember an ep with this score, just a short bit... no?

Me resisting the urge to say you can't park there sir" at the man inside the burning car wrapped around a tree
God I wish I could get into dnd
From years to years...
IT STILL A BANGER!!!🗣️🗣️🗣️
This song really goes along well with what's happening in the states right now
Man this feels like being in a dream and not being able to run. Like you have to hurry for your life but its futile. Like everything is lost and fucked.
This song doesn't just make me feel anger but and anguish for a little violence
Sometimes I believe this track can really go hard in a videogame moment 🖤
Funny you should mention that, it was used in the Metro 2033 Launch Trailer.
Telltale's The Walking Dead: Season 1
Or you can use it in project zomboid
good thing i'm adding it to my game
i'm playing this while playing left 4 dead

Such a badass theme to anything
The moment a man chooses war over peace, to follow damnation over salvation. So that he could walk into the abyss & say "I'm home". Is the moment where a man ceases & the demon is born.
Man this isn't war this is zombies
