I agree however... algorithms and artificial intelligence challenge human will. Whether its maliciously done or not, there highly-paid professionals who work to literally keep you engaged to their apps. So even if you only may engage with "negative content" once in a blue, the algorithm continuously pushes it onto people because they know eventually, it'll keep them engaged on their apps. These large corps understand that its deeper than simple "will power" and exploit people. Especially young people. Thats what Parks and Ice are saying.
There's enough data to provide that free will isn't actually real. The different between Rambo and movies depicting war is the fact that it's fake but Fb is manipulating billion of people lives and causing wars.

But Walmart hasn't blatantly influenced elections, incited riots on the Capital building, incited division amongst political lines or caused body dysmorphia among young men and women. The gov't is far from blameless as well but one they want/need are its citizens to be civil. FB literally has effectively half of THE EARTH'S POPULATION on their applications. So this level of influence (bolstered by artificial intelligence) is unprecedented and needs to be checked. Whether malicious or not.

Joe has a pretty good feel for moderating his podcast. Past a certain point they can't be serious because they haven't studied these topics. It gets irresponsible at a point if they continue.

When he is losing a topic or doesn't like the topic he starts screaming I don't care. Why have co-host if you don't want them to succeed? I love this podcast and I love the conversations it sparks. I hate that Joe was trying to stop everyone else from talking about Facebook? That was weird to me. Other than that Joe and Ish need to realize although their opinions are valid and true to them, it does not mean that is applicable to everyone. They can believe that capitalizing off of enticing emotional reactions of the public is fair in business. But that doesn’t mean that FB’s business tactics aren’t detrimental to society as a whole. Some might be smarter than the algorithm, but tbh most are not. And FB wants you to believe you’re in control and curate your timeline but that’s not true. We see what they want us to see, and the controversy is simply, should Facebook be manipulating emotional responses in the public for more traffic that could lead to real life consequences? Such as January 6th.

As a older hip hop head and fan of the pod, that has seen all the changes that happened during COVID, I have to admit I see Joe’s genius now. The new format, cast, and content is much better than the previous versions of the pod, which also loved. Shot out to ICE and ISH for bringing new perspective to the pod cause the old cast (shot out to them too) was great, but got too toxic and stale. It took a minute but you found your lanes and the show is refreshed with hip hop news and slightly more mature content that was needed! Keep it coming guys👍🏽

Nah IG went to hell when Zuck bought IG. Fucked the whole game up. Then they started pushing the stupid timeline algorithm where we get to see shit from three days ago. I’ve spent less and less time on both since then.

The guys kinda missed what actually happened with the Facebook situation , the problem was that the algorithm was deliberately showing people misinformation, not just “negative things”

I was skeptical if I'd keep watching this show after mal and Rory left... but honestly I find I watch even more now with ice and ish involved, the topics and dialogue seems more mature and what I'm interested in.... I like it ... I'll easily watch a whole show nowadays instead of just clips 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾 keep up good work guys
