    Dishonorable mention: Madara

      Well, having a white Zetsu grafted on to him kinda helped there. I mean, he took out an entire anbu squad from Kiri right after he wore the spiral head zetsu, ok, unlocking MS kinda helped there as well, but that fight wasn’t a fight… it was a one sided SLAUGHTER.

      That was entirely due to the power of Kamui though. Obito's feats without Kamui are still quite poor until he has the 10 tails. While Kamui is insanely powerful, and the Zetsu body enhancements allowed Obito to spam it to it's maximum potential, Obito really had nothing else going on regarding battle IQ or techniques. He had one very, very strong ability as a result of genetics and surgical enhancements, but little as a result of training, hard work, talent, or teaching. If Madara gave Obito anything, I think it was Obito's ability to also use talk no jutsu.

    Honorable mention, Killer Bee. Yes he was there for the shortest amount of time. But responsible for the biggest growth spurt in Naruto. He taught him to let go and confront himself. He taught him how to tame and master the nine tails energy which was the deciding factor in the war. Naruto calls him Octo-pops. He was also there to smack some sense into Sasuke. Let’s more forget that he has a number of students in the Cloud village. The best non-Konoha sensei hands down.

      @@jamisonreynolds9949then why did u come back lol? He arguably knows more Naruto Lore than most Narutubers on UA-cam. Just because he makes a couple mistakes doesn’t make him bad at this lol. There’s nothing wrong with stating your opinion on Nick, but if you literally just came back to diss him then there’s the problem. Also this list wasn’t too bad.
      The only thing wrong was really Kakashi at #7, but he stated himself that he put him up there way too high. He basically favoured Kakashi, he could have put Kakashi in the honorable mentions but he didn’t, because he put him at #7 due to him letting Naruto using the rasengan and Sasuke using the chidori. Also the other thing was really Jiraiya teaching him Sage mode, but everyone makes a slip up once in a while. He makes these videos 3 times a week and does a lot of research so I wouldn’t blame him if he got tired and made a mistake like changing Kirin to Karin lmao.

      @jamisonreynolds9949 Рік тому +8

      @@hutchbesoins7949 I literally say why I come back. I assume he can’t mess up the topic but he usually does. If the video topic is something that’s all based on his own theory, then whatever. Nick, however, will make false claims during those videos sometimes.
      Also, his ranking aside, he still gets info wrong. It’s not something he does occasionally, it happens all the time. Saying that he arguably knows the most is incorrect too. I’d say that SwagKage, Seth, or any of those other main names (controversy aside) know more. The difference is that they have a strong Uchiha bias and Nick is the exact opposite of that.
      For example, Nick constantly claims that Kakashi was a ROOT member despite that not being canon. His only “source” are the light novels (which haven’t been confirmed by Kishimoto as canon, and some of the writers have even called their novels “spin-offs”). Even if you wanted to use the light novels, nowhere is Kakashi stated to be in the ROOT. The only source of Kakashi being in the ROOT is anime filler. Nick is determined to die on that hill though. That’s just one example of him getting stuff wrong, and anyone that actually knows the anime agrees with this.
      The guy will pick and choose what he considers “canon” and basically creates his own and acts like it’s official. He’s straight up misinforming people.
      That said, he’s still entertaining. It would just be better if he owned up to making some of that shit up or just that he doesn’t really know, but he thinks it was the way he’s saying.

    • @Mech299
      @Mech299 Рік тому +25

      Baki. A Jounin, and he's never seen to die in the series, so I'm going to say that yes he is. Also, we see that canonically he has Wind Release, so even though we don't see him training them, we can assume that he had a big hand in training Temari, one of the greatest Wind Ninjutsu users in the entire world. That deserves a bump to at least the Top 10 in my book.
      Besides, Kakashi, regardless of what anyone thinks of him as a character, was a TERRIBLE sensei. I think that Nick was showing favoritism by putting him up at the #7 spot (har har), when he should've gotten an honorable mention at best. He spent almost no time actually teaching his team anything, he completely ignored Sakura and he mostly just focused on Naruto and Sasuke. He didn't teach anything of substance to Naruto (even though he has Shadow Clones and could easily have split himself to give instruction to ALL of his students, even if Sakura wasn't continuing on into the finals) and by the time he's training ANYONE in Team 7 again, it's in a singular attribute of a single technique that he didn't even learn to do properly himself. Kakashi was an ANBU captain, he's used to commanding field teams, adults that listen to orders and get the job done. That's the only thing we really see his team doing in that Konohamaru filler episode with Tora the cat. He taught them hunting formations and a bit of discipline so that they can work as a unit while hunting a target. And Wall Walking. That's it.
      Imo? Kurenai should've been in the top 10 because by Nick's own admission, she had a hell of a time with the students she was handed and she still managed to make them all into competent shinobi with strong bonds of teamwork and friendship. That deserves a higher spot than Kakashi no matter how you slice it.

    • @jeromedurand1067
      @jeromedurand1067 Рік тому +6

      Also it is kind of the same thing for Baki and for Kurenai. They were given a team with different justsu that the sensei could not train the students in. And they managed to create good teams. I think it is important to remember that Gaara became a Kage over the two years, Kankuro became a Jonin an I think the only reason Temari wasn't a Jonin was because she was an ambassador. And I won't list everything that Kurenai did, but she also trained them until she couldn't be a ninja because she was pregnant.

      @thanatoskw8285 Рік тому +2

      Yeah I dunno man, I like Baki and all, and yeah he probably had a lot to do with Temari being as good as she is. But he doesn't know shit about puppets as far as we know, and Kakuro is rarely more than a punchline, so it's safe to say he didn't do much for him. Gaara's sand is automatic for the early part of the series, and when he's finally like "Damn man this sand isn't enough, I need to actually be able to fight," who did he go to? Not Baki. Dude didn't even go to his own sensei to train him in the one thing anyone can be taught. Doesn't speak to him being much of a sensei for anyone but Temari. That's kind of the theme though if we're being honest with the part 1 senseis. Kakashi didn't give a shit about anyone but Sasuke, Guy didn't give a shit about anyone but Lee, Asuma didn't give a shit about anyone but Shikamaru (not as egregious as the others but still very clearly a favorite by a wide margin), and Baki had Temari. Honestly Kurenai seems like the only one who didn't play favorites.

    To be fair, if I remember right, Kurenai had those three because she was putting together a tracker squad. All three had great scouting and tracking potentials with their unique styles. Obviously Shino was amazing at it given how he tracked Sasuke at the end of the chunin exams. Obviously Kiba does well tracking, I mean that’s basically his biggest strength. While Hinata was trained up to be an absolutely monstrous sensor type ninja. All in all, Kurenai did an amazing job as a sensei

      Kakashi is the one noting this squad was made for tracking, if I remember, but whether Kurenai herself wanted it, I dunno.
      If anything, this part of her team means it would have made more sense, to have Kakashi teaching them. Sure, the sharingan is different from the Byakugan, but he would have a lot more to teach about dojustu to Hinata than Kurenai did. The guy with literal dogs summons could likely teach really well to Kiba and Akamaru (plus, Kakashi also had a good scent of smell, tough not as good as an Inuzuka, if I remember right).
      And Shino... well, I guess except teaching him to fight close combat in case an opponent somehow managed... what do you wanna teach an Aburame when you aren't one yourself ?
      Meanwhile, Kurenai may have been great for Team 7. Sasuke and Sakura both would have benefited from learning genjustu (Sasuke because Sharingan, Sakura because the story spent its time telling you she may have talent for it) and while I think she wouldn't have been able to teach this to loss cause Naruto, she could have taught him how to break out of genjustu or notice he is in one, or another stuff like this, which would have been useful still to him.

    Honestly, even though we love him, Kakashi wasn't a great sensei, he saw Sasuke going through insane trauma but didn't/couldn't help him(though that is great writing because he doesn't actually know how to reach out to others let alone teach another to deal with trauma) and not to mention he didn't help his mentors orphaned son through growing up alone(though that still is great writing cuz he was in the anbu and dealing with his own darkness), and he barely taught Sakura any true abilities before Tsunade arrived.
    All in all, he's a fantastic person, but not the best Sensei. (And he believed Sasuke was beyond help so....)

He seemed to just want people to develop to their full potential and embrace each other peacefully. @@crazydyablo6719
      Did u ever question why he spent time on Sasuke?
      I have different pointers on this~
      A> Path Of Revenge:-
      Unlike Naruto and Sakura, Sasuke was consumed by darkness. He _wanted_ to get revenge. He was going in a wrong path. Naruto however his heart isn't like that nor Sakura's. Sasuke was the one who had intentions on going rogue and Kakashi sensing this.. Kakashi himself had every reason to go rouge so he understands what Sasuke feels. Kakashi's words didn't work coz of Sasuke being stubborn, he truly knows what Sasuke feels coz he had gone through a lot worse situations than Sasuke. Kakashi was determined to get Sasuke out of the path of revenge coz he knows it doesn't end well.
      B> Sandaime's orders:-
      Yes, the Sandaime asked Kakashi to specifically look after Sasuke coz:-
      i> Sasuke being the only Uchiha.
      ii> Sasuke the only one having the natural shrinagn and the third wants to see him obtain his sharingan.
      iii> Also coz Kakashi has the sharingan and he could teach Sasuke more than the other sensei.
      iv> Itachi too, this is a whole separate point.
      C> Itachi:-
      Kakashi knew Itachi way back when he was in Anbu. Kakashi wanted him to be a good mentor towards the youngster (Itachi). So when he found out bout the Uchiha massacre he felt extreme guilt take over his body. He felt guilty that he wasn't able to understand his fellow peer. He advised Itachi that he could talk to him if something is bothering him coz he knows Shisui's sucide and he compares the situations when his father died the same way. He wanted to be a good mentor to Itachi but all got crushed when Itachi went rogue. So the third even said Kakashi to look after "Itachi's younger brother." Kakashi doesn't want Sasuke to end up as Itachi, going rouge.
      D> Connections:-
      Think of the connections Sakura had?
      She had her parents, Ino and a lot of people.
      Think of the connections Naruto had?
      He had Iruka, Ayame, Sandaime, Shikamru, Choji and the Ramen Guy (Teuchi).
      Think of the connections Sasuke had?
      _None._ The only connection he had is with Kakashi a mere student-teacher relationship. Only Kakashi had the chance to change Sasuke. He was the only one there with Sasuke. So ofc he had to focus on Sasuke more.
      E> Resemblance:-
      As my "A" point stated he saw Sasuke as himself when he was a genin/chunin/(young) jounin. He kinda hated himself when he was in that stage. He just wants Sasuke to not end up like him.
      F> Chunin Exams:-
      Who was the opponent of Naruto?
      Neji~ Well yes Neji is a tough opponent and yes he is strong and all. Neji is exceptionally skilled yes..
      Who was the opponent of Sasuke?
      GAARA! I love Gaara but back when he was in the OG? Gaara was a fricking killing machine for his village. He kills anyone and anything in his sight. He was a maniac back then. Also the fact that he was a fricking "Jinchuriki." There is no comparission between Gaara and Neji, not at all. So the best thing to go against Gaara's ultimate defence? Chidori.
      G> Chidori:-
      Kakashi didn't randomly popped out of nowhere and said Sasuke I want to teach you a new technique~~~ Nu, it was Sasuke who asked Kakashi to teach him a new jutsu. Kakashi had a hunch if Sasuke had lighting nature but only got confirmed after the chakra test (chakra indicator paper).
      Kakashi then said he would pass down his jutsu with him. Chidori is only possible when u have lighting chakra nature and a sharingan so there was no bloody way he was gonna teach the rest, the only way he could do that is to multiple sharingan- which is impossible. He teached Sasuke chidori very expertly saying his individually training is awful is an understatement. It's my boi's jutsu.
      H> Orochimaru and Bounty:-
      Kakashi knows Orochimaru is going after Sasuke. That stupid snake just wanted Sasuke's body and Kakashi knows so he is with Sasuke. Not only that but Sasuke being the last Uchiha has a big bounty on his head. So to protect him he was there for Sasuke. If u point out on Naruto then listen Naruto isnt the only jinchuruki unlike Sasuke who was the only "known" Uchiha (-Itachi, Itahci had his own standards no-one could match him to catch him).

His favoritism towards Sasuke, because of his guilt on how he failed Obito created a bias that clouded his judgment in terms of making sure that his team overall developed. If you look at Asuma every member of team 10 developed to be strong and he helped them hone their teamwork especially with their secret clan ninjutsu they learned from their parents. If you look at team 8 Kurenai helped Hinata Shino and Kiba hone their amazing tracking abilities to use them TOGETHER. I can’t say a single thing that Kakashi taught Sakura besides walking up a tree. In the bell challenge, he talked about teamwork, and throughout the entirety of the story, he didn’t help them develop any teamwork. In part 1 he was fixated on trying to help Sasuke in part 2 he was fixated on trying to help Naruto and Sakura completely got overshadowed. Not only that, but Sasuke, Sakura and Naruto didn’t develop any of their overall skills that became important for the main story by kakashi. They learned and grew more with the 3 Sannin

      "His favoritism towards Sasuke" I think, at this point I'm going to call this "favoritism" an urban legend. Could you mention any time where he favored Sasuke over the other two which isn't him training Sasuke during the Chuunin exam for what, I believe, are very valid reasons that had nothing to do with him prefering Sasuke over Naruto? Any other example of his infamous Sasuke favoritism? One (shaky, imo) example is far from enough to come to this conclusion.
      A lot of the training he gave them isn't fancy training resulting in amazing technics, but the bases of things like survival and combat (and other stuff) and yes, teamwork. And, if you examin their level at the beginning of the show and during the Chuuning exams, you can see improvements, even before the last round. The issue is that we don't get to see it (the training) directly because a lot is implied to have happened during the minor timeskips occuring in Naruto part 1. For instance, Sakura mentionned something like "the week of training from hell", we didn't see it, but it happened. There's also a brief mention at the same time of Kakashi having taught a genjutsu technics specifically to Sakura. The fact we don't get to have more of Kakashi teaching Sakura genjutsu or Sakura using it in general is not a clue of Kakashi not liking Sakura or being a lousy teacher, but of the writer pushing Sakura aside in favor of Naruto and Sasuke (which I don't like).
      In part 2, he wasn't Sakura's teacher anymore (and, by the way, he recommended her to Tsunade, showing how much he trusted Sakura's abilities and knew Tsunade would help her grow more as a ninja than he could), so it wasn't his responsibility to teach her. Unless she had asked him (or shown the desire for it) directly to train her. I'm sure he wouldn't have refuse her his help.
      Bashing Kakashi for his "bad" teaching is pretty commonplace in the fandom, so much that I don't see much person trying to take a step back to analyse if it was really as bad as some people say it was. A lot of Sakura and Naruto's bond and ninja way developped because of Kakashi. He lay the foundations and other got to come after to built the more notable and "shiny" part of their arsenal.

    Minato can't be held responsible for how Obito turned out... at all. He was warped and twisted by an old man with a very specific plan (Madara). Minato did things like helped Obito see Kakashi in a different light when they deeply misunderstood each other, which led to them being able to be some-what self sufficient when he wasn't there. A BIG point for a sensei. Not being able to assess Kakashi's mental state and assigning him to the root was definitely a poor choice, but fortunately its effects weren't permanent. What Minato did between Obito and Kakashi is the major focus of his short time as a sensei

    Minato is a perfect example of the idea that just being smart and competent doesn't mean you will be a good teacher. You need good interpersonal skills, and you need to know how to convey yourself in ways that are understandable and approachable for others not on your level. Minato is a good person, and a great ninja, but his lack of social skills really impaired his ability to make deep bonds with any of his students. The only people he was ever really close to were Kushina and Jiraiya, both of whom he loved deeply, but he left a minimal impact on his students. Kakashi doesn't even really think about Minato that much, and he was probably Minato's favorite of the 3.

    Hot take, Kakashi really sucks a a sensei. First off, he barely trained the team for like a month until their first mission, whereupon he showed them a basic chakra excorcize, and even then, he didn't really explain it or even stick around to supervise, he just showed them and said "There. Do that," then left. after he immediately shoves them in the chunnin exams that they're in no way ready for, then abandons 2 of them in the third phase. He only teaches Sasuke a murder jutsu when he's clearly the one that you should trust least with one of those given the mountain of complexes and magic hickey, instead of, i don't know, pulling him out? after which all 3 immediately leave for new better senseis. And for those who want to argue with me, give me one jutsu that Kakashi taught all three of them comprehensively. I mean a full demonstration, explanation, and all three get it

He also identied Sakura’s chakra control abilities which paved the way for her medical ninjutsu. He recognized the amount of chakra that naruto had and taught him the importance of using it efficiently. Not to mention he also accepted he wasn’t the best teacher for naruto which is why he found Jiraiya so he could teach him how to tap into the nine tails because Kakashi wasn’t capable of controlling the seal.

    I think that Kakashi, as a sensei, should get a bit more respect for knowing his limits and when to trust his students to others. Sure he lost Sasuke who he wanted to be the Lee to his Guy, and Orochimaru obviously did a better job than Kakashi would've been able to do (though Kakashi could've taught Sasuke some things about the Sharingan that Orochimaru wouldn't have known). His students all ended up with who they needed to be with when they needed them, which is why Naruto got passed around so much.
    If we're taking off points for having others train Ninja for them, then Tobirama definitely should also lose points. He recognized the need for training, but Hiruzen was his only student who didn't become a sociopath and that may have been more due to the influence of his older brother on Hiruzen, who knew them both. Though he definitely trained strong shinobi and this could be consider probably more similar to Orochimaru for the students he actually did train than say Haguromo who personally trained...basically the whole world

All the time Kakashi was there he was teaching them about life as a shinobi and helping foster their relationship with each other. Kakashi also understood them all very well, having put his faith in them time and time again in the early part of the series. Both Nagato and Naruto were thought to be the child of project as well. Not only that he also trained Konan who would have BODIED Obito had Obito not cheated. Mind you Obito went toe to toe with Minato during the nine tails attack ultimately resulting in the death of Minato.

    Hey can you rate the chakra natures and their kekki Genkai fusions? That would be awesome.

    The fact Asuma was the first person to even teach Naruto his chakra nature may mean they all aren’t super great

    After rereading the first chapter of the boruto manga a few times, it seems Kawaki battled an Otsutsuki in Konohagakure, Boruto and Kawaki seem equally as banged up. Boruto seems to be the first one to Otsutsufy, with the blast at the end of the scene being him transforming. But like, from the outside view of the Otsutsuki, they would want to feed these guys to the ten tails, as they're like the most premium fertilizer.
