- This 1928 Ford Model A Roadster Hot Rod did not run well at high rpm. The carburetor jet had to be replaced with a larger one, which is easy to do. Test drive with a self-made test system for optimal testing of the carburetor setting.

97 or 81 Stromberg? Changing from what number power valve to what new number? When I rebuild a neglected Stromberg, removing the PV can be a challenge, but cooking the casting in a 200-300 toaster oven often saves the day.
Hi Jeffrey. You are very familiar with Stromberg carburetors, thanks for your input too. Here it is a 97 Stromberg, the PV was changed from #65 to #67 and the jets from #45 to #43.
@@tmschilterspeedshop I have rebuilt many Stromberg 81's but still learning. Single 81 can work well on a stock Model A engine.
Is that satin black or dark grey? It looks great.
