      Yep. We had to save when I was young and stepmom made killer spaghetti. But it was always leftover hamburger rolls for the garlic bread and she never got that shit toasty. But it worked with the sketti somehow. Need some garlic salt on there at least

      That garlic bread is what you make at home when you have bread leftover that's going bad. Hell imos used to have much better garlic bread, it was actually made from French bread. The pizza looked a little overcooked. The t-Ravs look mushy not crispy. St louis style pizza and toasted ravioli can be amazing. Try somewhere else cuz Imos ran it's course long ago. I gave up years ago.

      It's all in how it's presented to them. If you go "oh my God! You have to try Imos. It's the best damn pizza you'll ever have!" Then nobody is gonna like it and will always be built up to disappointment. BUT if you say "hey, you should try Imos. It's a bit different. It's a cracker crust and a unique cheese but it's a St. Louis staple." I guarantee you more people would like it.

      Fried raviolis slap. Get them with meat sauce, not alfredo. And the outside, I can explain perfectly. Its a tender pizza roll. A little crisp, but chewy.
      You can dip them like nuggets, or sauce them on a plate and fork it.

    I haven't seen anybody mention this, but in Columbus, Ohio this pizza style is prevalent. It's very divisive here too. Half of my family likes it and the other half hate it.

      Chicago has a "Tavern style" pizza, it's a thin crispy crust and some Chicagoians love it. Heck, Pizza Hut is even making it now. I like pizza hut's own thin crust and it's crispy.

    I actually had a random pizza spot serve garlic bread like that 😂, I felt so disrespected! That’s the type of ish we used to do growing up in the hood. Put some butter on white bread and place it in the oven. Might add some government cheese if we was feeling frisky 😂

      Tell me this, what is garlic bread supposed to look like? You make a butter sauce add garlic and some people sprinkle parsley on it. Italian loaf bread is usually used, that can be used as a hoagie bun too.

    Lotawata creek in Fairview Heights, IL(everything is great, but the fried macaroni and cheese balls🔥)
    Red top bbq in Collinsville, IL(black owned bbq spot, I’ve never been disappointed)
    Any Mexican restaurant in Fairmont City, IL(next to ESTL, pretty much Mexican town!)
    Thai country cafe in STL (#45🔥, crab Rangoon and the sauce it comes with is 🔥)
    Blk mkt eats in STL(fried chicken sushi burritos🔥)
    Hawaiian grill(STL) or Pops(STL/ESTL-fish and chicken spots)

      Drive 30 mins into Illinois and you'll get infinitely better pizza. I moved to st Louis area (I've lived in st. Charles, Kirkwood, Maryland heights, Chesterfield) and coming from Chicago, all of st Louis pizza is cheeks and disappointing as hell.

    Loaded cracker is accurate. When I went there about 6 years ago, I asked a few of the locals about it and St. Louis style pizza is just as divisive over there as it is online. It was decent but not something I'd actively eat again.

    Cracker crust pizza is so so good. I mean, Chicago tavern style pies are similar, but my Lord, slandering a pie because it’s thin and cracker-y seems biased. The cook on that pie was beautiful.

    In Mexico using a Hoagie Bread to make Garlic Bread is very common, and it's usually made to go with Menudo of Pozole. So that is actually something the hispanic and latino community might appreciate. 😅

      Most grocery stores have frozen breaded raviolis, you can either bake them or fry them, just buy the frozen meat sauce to dip it in.

    The problem with StL being know for toasted ravs is that 95% of the places in St Louis use frozen toasted ravs and they are very underwhelming. If ya can find a place that makes fresh ones in house, it’s a big difference.

    Imo’s BBQ chicken pizza is pretty good actually. When I am in St. Louis though my favorite spots are Mission Taco and ‘Sauce on the Side’.

    drive 4 hours north to Chicago and get real chicago pizza. Its known as tavern style. Also its thin crust. The deep dish is what we shove tourists to. Also St louis used something called provel and its not really cheese, its more like squirt cheese in a can

    Try Pizza A Go Go, it been around almost as long as Imos, but it's yeasted and uses mozzarella. They do not deliver and only accept cash though, and only one location haha.

    this is ymmv, either you love it or you hate it. I'm from st louis and personally believe there is no pizza like imos. I still haven't found any pizza in the country that tops a good imos pizza, but I've heard people have the same opinion as him as well

    I've saying it for years the food here sucks compared to other cities. Chime is exactly right that these people running these restaurants are lazy as hell. Plus we're over paying for this garbage. I just cook my own food at home. I work for an airline so I've been able to travel around and try food from different cities and stl bbq is terrible

    I’m from St. Louis. Imo’s USED to be fire like up to the mid 2000’s. There only a few good locations left and I’m sure you didn’t go to a good one. Everyone knows Hampton is the one of the few locations still hittin.
