The jog wheels are AMAZING
Natively supported in Virtual DJ and via download in Traktor plus you get the license for Rekordox. Not too shabby.
I watched about 10 videos for reviews about the rb. Then I bought it. It was between the rb and sb2. Rb looked better and came with software I didn’t have to pay for. But my point was that your video was actually a great full review. Great video. I don’t usually comment on videos but this review was accurate and unbiased!

it works with other programs as well. just download the files from the pioneer website and import them in the software
If you set up the pitchfader curve, you're very much able tot beatmatch manual!
How can you do that?
i don't know exactly but i think it's in a setting on the program, i think you change the % of the pitch fader i've heard someone say they have changed it from factory setting of 16 to 6% ?
You can remap FX beat buttons to activate additional fx.

The small pitch is adjustable. You can set the range a lot looser or tighter by percentage in software as it is defaulted at 100%. So in my opinion the length is fine

Amazing review! I want to know if I can use the RB with Virtual DJ? Because on the Virtual DJ site, they have given all the compatible controllers' names, and this was one of them.
Yeah what's the deal with poor pitch faders, even tho we have automatic sync buttons but like he said, if you wanna be a DJ that is something you have to be able to do manually, can you change the curves for pitch? and the crossfader?

Im late to the digital revolution, although I have been using rekordbox for a year or two to organise my downloads and have been spoilt whilst using my friends XDJ-RX (amazing).
This entry level controller is fantastic value and a deal breaker for me with the licence included. Thanks again #4theloveofhouse

Great review!!!!.....I"m interested in buying the pioneer ddj-rb or the Traktor S2 controller but I haven't decided yet...I would appreciate hearing your opinion on my dilemma....i have to precise that i consider both softwares(Rekordbox DJ and Traktor Pro 2)great and I don't have any problem with any of them
P.S...is it true that the sync function in Traktor Pro 2 is better than in Rekordbox DJ???

terrymouse I'm using traktor atm, but it's a chore to prepare and analyze tracks in it. With rekordbox, you just have so much more options, besides, when you start in clubs, there will be cdjs there. Having prepared tracks in rekordbox, and practiced with all the effects, you're ready to go, whilst if you prepared them in traktor, you're not gonna be able to play those tracks with hotcues and all. The DDJ-RB is perfect for practicing
hi i have been checking a lot of your videos and in this video you mentioned about ddj rr. can u help me pls decide between ddj rb vs ddj sb2. i like the fact that the rb includes the rekordbox software with the price tag. so its a great value. but should i consider something else? or should i just add a few more hundred and buy a ddj rr?? thanks

Thanks a lot! I just bought it but I have one problem though: how do I make sure I can hear the song from deck one through my speakers while I can hear the song on deck 2 through only my headphones? I want to get the second song ready without it being played through the speakers.
Anyone?
Load the song on deck 2 and use the CUE button to pre-listen to your track
place the other song in the que, adjust headphone volume to the que side of the deck.
Im thinking about buying this controller, I have never djed before but I want to learn the right way ie beatmatching, is the size of the tempo fader a big issue for someone starting out?? I want to dj mostly rap music.
+Michael Perez Well.... it is workable, but a full size pitch fader is sooo much better when learning to beatmatch... Apart from that the RB is fantastic value for money.

Depends if you want to go the Serato DJ or the Rekordbox DJ route. I prefer the RB purely controller wise as it's more in line with other Pioneer DJ gear, ex: the classic cue/play buttons.

This mixer is junk! Severe latency issue between headphones and master out, no ability to blend cued song with master in the headphones, no kill switches, it's just not a good mixer whether pro or just starting.... I recommend Stanton djc.4, you can control 4 decks, it has all kinds of features, you can control time coded vinyl or cdj`s with it, it has kills, the tempo sliders are way better, you can replace/upgrade the crossfader, balanced and unbalanced master outputs, and the list goes on.... it may be 6 years old but is FAR better and is only 100 dollars more. As far as budget mixers it's WAY more professionally made.
