YAY - that diffuser saved a buck and looks literally fine. Wouldn't have known it was homemade till you said so
Thanks, validates the design of it then hahah.
Looks great Barry
Thanks man!
Wowowowow, thanks for the video! so in depth! love it! Keen to get a similar setup!, great content as always.
Edit: Ever thought about smoking the clear portion of the taillights?
@@samiig626 I thought about it and have the vvivid tail light wrap but have been lazy to install it. Thanks for the UA-cam content idea. I hope I have explained and answered your question with evidence of why I chose what I personally chose.
With the GS-F OEM wheels you can powdercoat and add spacers.. that alone will change the look without breaking the bank.
Barry, I live in the SF Bay Area. I will GLADLY pay you to make me that same diffuser!! Let me know if you're interested... I legit think you could sell the heck out of those things...
Keep them coming. Nice work!
Thanks Rico. 🙂
I have a 2020 rcf. I’m looking to buy some side fender vent pieces, but from what I’m hearing they don’t make them for the 2020?
Can you post links or names of the people who did the rep carbon fiber pieces? I’m interested !
Hi Angel. So the only name sources for the artisan spirit fender duct panels and the rowen rear bumper extensions are from JJ Carbon fiber from Ebay. He does take 3-4 months to send. You can also go to Group A motoring for something quicker with better communication.
She is a beauty.
Great video
Thank you. Do you have one yourself?
@@thehuangbros
Yes I have a 2015 with the performance pak.
Just bought it.
Can't wait to redo.
Love your mods.
I'm in Canada.
@@canadianloon6433 sounds fun to start from no mods. Ive had the chance to do it twice now. Always fun to start from beginning.
@@thehuangbros
Did you put a plastic gloss wrap on the chrome around the windows?
What material did you use?
Thanks
@@canadianloon6433 gloss black wrap.
I like your thought process with cosmetic mods. Did you make a video on how to make the rear diffuser?
That is a commonly asked question 😅 but I have not.
idk I think that was sun damage on the clear coat not sanding damage. that's where the cheaper reps get the price down. by saving on a quality clear coat job.
I wish they made a rep of that front lip...$900 for it is ridiculous for what it is
Hey Mike, nice to see you on here. Believe it or not. There is a rep. Cf rep 😂 on ebay
The one on ebay is also 1000.
Yes sir, I’ve seen a few of your vids, doing a good job with them.
I mean I guess the CF rep is a better deal as it’s CF for about the same price as I assume it includes shipping. Would be nice if they did a FRP for half price, I’d be all over it, lol.
@@MIUBHI007 FRP for easy repairs 👍🏼
@@thehuangbros You would do the same thing to repair fiberglass as you would the CF, only issue is that the extra $$ you spent on the CF would be waisted since you would need to paint it. Do you have a link to your lip (also is it just the front lip he has or the whole kit...In FRP)I looked on eBay and I remember seeing that lip kit but from the pics and angles, I didn’t realize it was the same one. Looked like it had air scoops on the outside. I messaged the seller if they make them in fiberglass as I want mine painted and it would be stupid to pay extra just to cover it up.
Question! I have a 2015 rcf. I really like the newer model rcf tail lights. Which part of the tail lights on my 2015 model should I tint to give it that newer model look? I’ve seen photos of the red part tinted and some with only the white part tinted but I can’t make up my mind.
Remember guys the point of Carbon Fiber is for a lighter AND stronger car part. Some manufacturers such as Seibon make Carbon Fiber hoods that aren’t full carbon fiber construction and weigh the same as OEM if not more I believe. Be careful which CF parts you buy.
Good point. I would always watch out if it is structural.
Thx for sharing brethren. The F looking great. I’m keeping mines 💯💯💯
Thanks, I have some obvious deformities I have to fix haha. Im keeping mine also. I think at this point, me selling is losing money
@@thehuangbros you’re welcome brethren and yeah great choice
yah mon this is my dream build off course as we all wish to aspire at too
If you’re referring to my car as a build for your inspiration, thank you and that is too kind of you too say. 🙇🏻♂️
Bro what did you use for the rear extension guards? which 3m tape? Any Tips?
I said eff it and just used strips of double sided 3m not long strips either.
Do you ever worry about the fiber pieces falling off in the car wash? I live outside buffalo NY and there’s only one option of car washes “delta sonic” and wondering if they’ll fall off in the car wash? I also have to give you some props your really mechanical minded. I want the same steering wheel as you but don’t know I feel comfortable diy after seeing your tutorial, I’ll rip that ribbon wire for sure lol
i glossed the window trim yesterday, it looks so much better blacked out. now i need to change the tint that came with the car to something darker
Definitely. I like 20% all around
do you have a DIY for the diffuser?
HAHA everyone is asking about that. How come? You guys like it that much? =D
@@thehuangbros I love it! let me know if you ever in SOCAL and I can pay you to make me one!
@@kevinpham7519 Whenever Im back in CA, I tend to make a socal trip so maybe its possible. There are still some cosmetics on it I would like to make cleaner.
What happens when the authentic manufacturers go out of business because the replicas undersell them? Who are the reps going to copy then?
That is a very good question honestly. That has always been a counter argument question to this topic. If there are no more manufacturers then, there are none and we are just out of luck for causing that. We would just stick to vinyl visual alternatives for visuals at that point.
Hi Barry,
Wondering what was the thickness of the ABS used for your diffuser?
Thanks
1/4 inch so it doesnt flex as much. If I was to redo it, I would use something lesser.
Bro we need a D.I.Y on that diffuser, looks really good! I currently got the Artisan Spirit fender ducts and a RR-Racing Spoiler, now looking for lip kit and diffuser.
Thanks for the diffuser compliment haha. The aesthetic part of it was the hardest part without it looking bad like most diy diffusers. I wouldnt even know how to recreate it because of how many tedious steps there were.
@@thehuangbros No worries haha, definitely a unique piece ! 👌
; )
wood filler???
Haha yeap, no one would have thought. But you heard right. Ill be making a DIY within a month or two to show this on my FRP front lip.
@@thehuangbros looking forward to it, keep up the good content
@@qnunyuh8417 thanks! Will do.
