  • If you have a desk job or a life without manual work then it's going to be important to do some exercises that help you develop strength and conditioning that is needed to avoid injury and do the movements. Here we see a simple exercise for developing spatial awareness, strength, good technique. In later videos, for the keen followers, we will show variations and developments from this base.

    Wise words! Training a bit everyday on my own changed everything. It wouldn’t be possible to shape my moves otherwise.

    Nice video. Can I ask why look at a point below you? Is it just a focus ex? I have a terrible habit of looking at the floor for hand placement for au's and always get told off for it 😉

      Yes - Your not looking at the floor it's something on the floor! The idea is that we always practice basic movements - when we start learning to not get a bad habit of not looking at anything - looking at something. This particular exercise means we need to move our body to see and this, in turn, gives us better posture. Hope that helps. Good to have you watching

      @@youarecapoeira thankyou, having now had a go at it, for me it is harder than it looks conceptually rather than physically . Looking at as a reference point makes you aware of the direction you're moving. Really nice exercise
