Used to have one of this as bmp driver (wz.2004 version- with adjustable stock and picatinny rails)- very handy and reliable carbine. It was quite accurate, despite this small barrel
as a tanker - my army issued rifle is Mini Beryl - tho its the newer version - with picatynny rails all over him and a M4 style regulated stock - and all i have to say - i love this gun - reliable , comfortable , pretty acurate for its barrel lenght - im right handed guy so i really cant think of some downsights for this weapon - i just love it

today you can always install some kind of optics on AKs, so short sight radius has become irrelevant. A good flash hider tames muzzle blast. And 762x39 doesn't suffer too much from short barrels, so short AKs make more and more sense now.

I don't think there was a one. To be honest, I don't know what light machine gun is used now. Wikipedia does not show one. Only UKM-2000 which is a different type of weapon which I don't know how to translate (multi-purpose machine gun).
@@jeanvonestling7408 UKM 2000 would be considered a GPMG - General Purpose Machine Gun. You were really close! As far as I know, and like you've said, Poland never used LMG/SAW type of weapons in their squad doctrine, we only had (and still have) the PKM/UKM.

That would be a very cool carbine to own, even in semi-only. However, filling out the paperwork and waiting is WAY too much of a pain (as the powers-that-be intended), and of course, there's the whole lack of availability thing, too.
Strange Polish firearm, perhaps worth looking into, could be Mors (word for Walrus in Polish, but supposedly it was supposed to be latin "death") a submachine gun from before WW2. It was thought less as a working gun and more as patent platform and thus is overcomplicated on purpose. Partially reconstructed ones are in two polish museums, if you are ever around, perhaps it could be worth looking into?

40MM grenades dont kick that bad. The new grenade launcher the army is using, the Hk 320 detaches from the rifle and has a little front grip and was very pleasant to fire without the rifle
My first thought too, that they took the (not insubstantial amount of) work that the Soviets put into the U and just measured it, but apparently it's somewhere between an AKS-74U and an AK-105, optimized for cheaper production. It still has an inch of barrel and gas tube between the handguard and the gas block/FSB, and it doesn't require special receiver or trigger parts (the AKS-74U does!).
Could they have _lengthened_ the stock on this one to fit standard crates and holders too? I mean, at least this time the stock would have had proper length:))

Not that impractical, if you arm police, tankers, aircrews, etc with them. It's compact and they don't need long range capabilities.

in the mid late 60's and very early 70's their were fine quality tools ( weapons) coming out of old chezc republic you should do a review on them
