Hi Prema Garu. In this Interview @34:23 You asked the Director about "Objectifying a Woman" in Movies. In the Process of Explaining the same, You Yourself said that "Now-a-Days Women are Going Out, Working, Earning, They have their Own Voice and Choice", Right ? Then How come You Question the Decision taken by an Actress (Who Listened to the Narration, Who Read the Movie Script and Signed the Project) ??? When She doesn't have any problem in Accepting such Role or Performing "Particular Objectifying Scenes", I don't think anybody has got the Right to Question the Director about that Objectification. Just before that Question, the Director clearly Explained about the Censor Board Certification. If there is any such Scene or Dialogue or Whatever in the Movie which Disrespects or Degrades any Gender, Community or any Social Element, then Censor Board wouldn't allow that, Right ? So, all this "Woman Empowerment, Being Independent, Strong, Bold" doesn't come into Consideration Unless and Until, there is any Exploitation of any Woman. If an Actress or Actor comes to Media asking for Help in Raising a Voice against the Exploitation of Actors and Actress in Movies, then You can ask all these things. That's Not the Case and You also know it for a Fact. So, Kindly Stop asking such Questions. If You Really want to Justify Yourself, You should be asking these Questions to the Actresses Who Accept such Roles and Sign such Projects in the First Place. Then such Independent Empowered Woman will Explain You the Logic behind Their "Independent Decision Making Ability, Their Working Ability, Their Earning, Their Choice in Their Own Voice."
at all actresses find comfortable doing few scenes. It is easy for new-comers that too mostly from North to show off the skin. And look at the age gap between the co stars 🫠 Directors justify the wrong doings. Directors have better option for casting. In any level, these kind of directors have no creativity and will not have long careers. 💯
Actress won't know how the shot will be taken when doing it anyway especially songs.. It will be known after all the editing only.. By that time, she can't complain anyway even if she wants to or not. Also age gap between actors is too much and doing such dances does not look good. Also for smoking/drinking things in films you will have warning sign so you are not breaking any social norms there You can't blame actress if she doesn't know how the shot will be taken, especially if it's a new actress. Her decision making ends after signing contract.After that she just trusts the director and go with the flow. She can't leave either in middle of shoot like big heroines if she doesn't like as she is still early in her career.
