@@Adam_jd Yes! I have a lot of faith in Bambie and their artist vision - I think it can stand out enough to qualify. But of course I'm nervous for it, we're Ireland after all, we don't do the final any more 😅. But this is different and I loved it from the first listen
My understanding of the video, is that Bambie's spell is the combination of hexing their ex boyfriend, and creating a new one. But through that process what they actually created was a hairy monster. (Maybe the kind of commentary here is how toxic relationships can effect your future relationships? Kinda brilliant)
The kiss on the turett stairs, the forbidden kiss, the art, so much to digest, brilliant, fabulous and needs to be on a #europeanstage #BambieThug ❤❤❤ #rebelsabú
I mean it’s Ireland (although to be fair cork is the other end of the country from what I grew up, so 5 hrs from me). I met them on the Eurosong final night - they’re just the sweetest person, and I wish them all the success!
She is putting a curse on her boyfriend or ex-boyfriend because he cheated on her multiple times. 'All the pretties in you bed...' and 'Avada Kedavra' which some miss-understand or miss-interpret as 'abra-cadabra' means 'I will destroy as I speak'. 'For your romance, I'd beg, steal and borrow...' suggests she still is in love with him but cannot forgive. At the end off the song she says 'Avada Kedavra, I speak to destroy!'. This is black witchcraft or black magic.
Yea, and also there will be people thinking avada kedavera is a harry potter reference, which, it’s not. There are some claims it’s based on Aramaic, and as you say - it means ‘let the thing be destroyed’ and has taken on a more brutal meaning as centuries evolved. And yes, the ex boyfriend thing - get a new one, he’s not any better. But does bambie settle for that or not? The ending part confused me. But I did read that a lot of parents were coming to bambie saying how much their kids loved the song, so they decided to make the video a little bit more kid friendly. May explain some things too. Also, kind reminder that Bambie is no -binary and uses they/them pronouns.
Why bother to understand it, you will never pin anything down. Bambie probably has two or three meanings. Just enjoy the ride. By coincidence, I just read something about Claude Monet the Artist. He says, "I keep meeting people who tell me they are trying to understand my paintings. Stop tryng to understand them and just, simply love them".
Ireland definitely wants to be at the top this year 🇮🇪😍
We certainly do indeedd. We’ll need all the votes we can get in the first semi final, gonna be tough but I have so much faith in Bambie

To the top! Maybe not the top 3, but surely around8 or9
Wonderful entry, love Kalle from Finland
Thank you! I love it too, but I’m Irish and biased 😂
So simple she putting a spell on her x boyfriend and in real life is a witch but our witch and I love her😊
Another artist looking at this wouldn't spend so much time trying to understand the video. Just go with the spirit and enjoy the ride.
