I was there and witnessed that horrifying crash. It was hard to believe when it happened and I was so concerned that he wouldn't walk away. But Flis Performance makes some incredibly strong cages and cars. Kudos to Flis and so glad Hodgen is okay.
Insane to race in this sort of fog - when I used to race if marshal posts couldn't even see each other then racing never took place and there's no way it was the case here. Took a while to get safety crews out to the car too given the gigantic nature of the crash - not the quality I'd expect of IMSA. :/
My son said they could see fine. I was at the top of the corkscrew and the fog rolled in/out throughout the early part of the race. Sometimes it was hard to see cars making the initial left. Crazy stuff.
25:15 I can't imagine anyone practicing for Fog Conditions in a Sim....It would be just too difficult and you would crash multiple times into other cars.
i wonder how much money was behind to even start a race with this fog. unless it looks worst in camera tv, i hope in track it was more visible. horrible conditions for tv
Thank you, IMSA! ❤
I'm glad Hodgen is okay.
Thank you guys for bringing us great racing like this.
Very tricky Conditions with this fog. Very Brave drivvers and glad, this mazdas got good headlights.
Beautiful sequence of corners for the pass by Aaron after the safety car.

Thank you I was waiting for them to show this.

Yep, we were at the corkscrew when this went down and ran down the hill to watch. It was DEAD up there for a few hours waiting for the fog to clear.
Shea Adams is lovely, great commentary!

Should check out the start of last years 12 Hours of Bathurst. Fog at the start was insane.
Thank you for the upload
What a crash, I’ve never seen a Miata take to the sky’s like that! Glad everyone walked away, amazing…

Im surprised they even started the race with that much fog. Must not be as bad as it looks on camera

"These idiots are still going 2/3 wide into the corkscrew? Get the fog machine!!"

When you turn on the ultra fog cheat code or mod just to spice things up
Totally unacceptable conditions to hold a race in ! Way to much fog this put a whole lot of drivers in danger
Delayed for safety reasons.. Can't see crap up the hill... let's go green hahaha.
Well, I guess my boyfriend can fly now…
He was the one who flipped? Did he sustain any injuries?
"Sense of smell and magic" 😂😂😂
I must criticize race direction for allowing racing in such a dangerous fog.

Some comments mentioned the fog wasn't as bad as it seemed on the track.
