Peter Parker swings down: Please adopt me too! I’m Spider-Man, you definitely don’t know my real name and we definitely did not meet during Tony Stark’s funeral and now I have no family! Clint: Sorry, I have a five kid policy. Peter: Since when?! Clint: Since now.
Clint meeting Kate really is fate. This is the more realistic and grounded part of the MCU, but Kate has almost all the same traits he does, nice, down to earth, snarky to cope with situations and archery skills.
Random but related question: Would you watch/play a comic book series or movie or video game where a seasoned female hero befriends/protects/trains/teams up with a young male?
Finally Clint gets the appreciation he deserves as one of the avengers AND as one of the heroes with no superpowers. He has brain and skills and physical training, he's an amazing spy! People who find him boring don't know him well enough and that's suck. And finally we got someone who I can call my role model since she's a badass, sometimes an idiot, weird (in a good way) and a huge fan of Hawkeye (he's my favorite avenger too). I love Kate, she has a good potential in the future of mcu!!!
@@CaseytifyEvery Black Widow was given a version of the Super soldier serum (not as strong, but they're still definitely stronger than normal humans.)
When they first announced that Kate Bishop was going to be in this, I was worried. I thought they were going to make her this boring badass who didn’t actually need Clint and he’s only there as he’s an established character and people would riot. A lot of these mentor, me the relationships tend to be this now, especially when it’s a male mentor, female mentee. But no, they made her a potential badass (aka has badass moments) cocky dumbass (not stupid. The good kind of dumbass) fangirl teenager and I love her for that. They are both needed here and it made the show work
So the whole serie would be like Clint : "Listen girl, you're such a pain in the ass, you never do what I tell you and you're a walking chaos who keep putting me in insane situations. And now I just adopted you."
its realistic though. she like many others, has this fantastical view of super heroes who fight for justice and all she sees is the glory, not the aftermath. so she wouldnt consider learning basic first aid as a necessity because the news and media never show the losses and the aftermath of the battles.
Damn bestie you are fast 💅 Number one would have to be ‘well you’d-….you’d have to catch it.’ Number two would be on the train where Clint just can’t hear her at all but they have the exact same thoughts XD
This was one of the best mini series shows ever! And with only 6 episodes. Game of Thrones season 8 also had 6 episodes, but this was way more fun and entertaining. Whoever decided to cast Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop deserves an Oscar. And I dig the name Lady Arrow.
I really hope Marvel doesn’t screw Kate up. Feels like she’s one of the few characters from Phase 4 that seems Universally liked so hopefully she gets more to do in later movies, and doesn’t just fill the Hawkeye role in Avengers
Clint's relationship with Kate: "You, Kate Bishop, are the most annoying creature I have ever met. You shoot with skill but also a measure of abandon, your kind bleeding heart making you run into danger will probably get you as deaf as me someday, and you bond with dangerous women assassins way too easily... So, yeah, you're a lot like me. Welcome to the Barton family."
Kate was basically adopted by a Barton family (daughter) and the Romanoff family (sister) in the same show. Hmm, now that I think about it, I wonder if there's a fanfic with a Clint/Nat/Kate family dynamic somewhere. I don't ship Clint and Natasha, but being shared mentors? Could be fun.
See. Now Cate is a character...along with Yelena...that I'd enjoy to see in a film. And not just on TV. She's an excellent replacement for Clint. Just as Yelena is excellent replacement for Nat as Widow. Unfortunately, MCU is caught up trying to push ... whatever they're trying to push....with She-Hulk and Marvel Girl etc. Trying to get younger audiences maybe. Idk, I don't understand it all. But it's clearly hurting their bottom line. I just try enjoy what I can in the superhero genre from Marvel and DC.

Nat had no super powers either. They were both spies/assassins, yet Black Widow gets all the glory.

adult: adopts child
Spiderman Somewhere: hey please adopt me too, I have no family
Great way to introduce future superheroes
In Peter's case it's: Kick adult out of his movie because he's had enough parent figures who have died

Surprised basic first aid wasn’t one of the plethora of things Kate learned in her pursuit of successful vigilantism

Maybe not first but perhaps third? Learn to fight, learn to avoid a fight, learn to patch up after a fight?
