The original AREX Delta polymer striker fired pistols were good guns. The new Gen 2's built upon that foundation and improved the guns even more while maintaining backwards compatibility with magazines and holsters. If you're looking for a new polymer striker fired pistol, the AREX Delta Gen 2 guns should be on your short list.

Ah, so this is the Delta varient that everyone has been talking about.
And this one is more effective than .02%
This one is VERY DEADLY however...

I just got an Arex Delta M 2.0 in FDE a couple of weeks ago. Took it out and shot about 100 rounds to test it out. Flawless function, love the trigger out of the box, love the texturing, ambi controls, etc. Just a great, great pistol for the money. Can't wait to put more rounds through it and post a review about it myself. Glad to hear you approve of my purchase, Tim! :)
Hows it held up? Any reliability issues?
@@BagsEsquire None yet. Still love it, still carry it every day.
I've been running/carrying my AREX Delta M for about 4 months now. I've been extremely happy with it.
With that intro, must mean Federal Ammo is flowing into the MAC Compound again! 😂. Love it.
We did get a shipment of ammo! We still have to be careful with our consumption but it's been many months since we got a shipment.
That’s great news!
Good review of this fantastic pistol. It's a great CCW pistol, very slim. My husband and I are collectors of German and / European firearms. We now have three of these pistols in our collection. We've had absolutely no issues. I've been carrying this whole outdoors hiking, no rust issues. I always wipe the pistol down if it gets any persperation.
My husband and I appreciate your review 🙏
I am glad your range rules have been updated!
Good review. Thanks. I have the Delta M version. About 500 rounds through it so far. No real issues yet.
Extremely thorough and professional review! Covered all the bases; to the point excellent camera work. Thank you
Love mine! No issues since purchase , perfect balance between size , conceal ability, round count and straight Bad ass aesthetics.
I want to thank you for all then info you have provided for not only the Arex but all your other videos here on UA-cam
Thank you Rob, that means a lot.
I very much appreciate the time and effort you put into making your videos. This was a very informative and thorough review.
I was leaning towards the Arex Delta Gen 2 before watching your video, but now I'm certain a Model M will be the next handgun I purchase (hopefully soon).
Thank you. May God Bless you and your loved ones.
I got the X model now just over a month now have put 200 rounds through it it has run flawless so far the grip feels really nice it shoots and handles very well the gun is extremely slim compared to others in this class or size only 1.18 thick and the trigger gets better after 100 rounds or more the trigger and trigger reset is good for 396 dollars under 460 with shipping insurance and the call in transfer out the door it's got to be one of the best handgun options available
I like the gen 1 delta but wasn’t a fan of the grip angles. So I bought the new frame and what a difference it made. Thanks for the video 🇺🇸🇺🇸
Had the 1st gen and now edc the 2nd gen M with a holosun 407k and a light. Both gens have been flawless and the 2nd gen has good changes optics cut, grip texture, sig sight cut (I got xdm night sights to fit in mine not sure what that was about) trigger is still great on the 2nd gen IMO and all this for sub $500 hard to beat. And yes it fits most g19 holsters I’ve found!
Very interesting. I will look into the Arex Delta after watching this assessment video. Thanks!
Great review as always thanks. Happy New Years
Baby Yoda peaking over the case like...wow where's mine.
Haha, he's a mischievous little fart. I hope as is well with you.
The problem I ran into with the larger mag release is due to the design of the mag catch, it's possible to press the larger release too far into the gun. Then that over cams the internal catch and it will then not allow the mags to drop free.
I haven't mashed the mag release very hard, only hard enough to release the mag. At that point it's flush with the grip. To go further means you would have to reposition your thumb and push it into the grip assembly, at least for my pistol. I'll go play with the release and see what it takes to cause that issue. Thanks for the post.
@@Militaryarmschannel I may simply just be pressing too hard on it, carrying over from other pistols use of the mag catch.
@@Militaryarmschannel Yes, a inward press while pushing downward is best. Gen 1
Another way to put it, is not press, but pulling inward and down.
@@BuffRANGE You should not be able to push it in to far, If that's the case I would call it a defect in its build
@@bidenstoletheelection9116 I mean that's how these ambi releases work. You can push either side to get it to drop, as it's not a 1 way release like many are. So it's entirely possible to press it too far the one way and make the internal mechanism over rotate and catch on the mag.
I have a Gen 2 L and enjoy it very much, 100% reliability so far (aprox. 800 rnds). The magazines come out with no issues when empty and I like the low profile of the button.
When the magazines are full or almost full is hard to release them. My impression is that there's too much friction in the cam action between plastic mag release push button and the small metal plate of the mag catch that pivots to unlock the magazine.
Rounded edges on the mag catch metal plate or a metal push button could improve the situation.
I have the Gen 2 “L” model swiftly approaching 800 rounds this month. I’m a fan in terms of modularity and ergonomics. I may go with a CPHWS plate for my 508T, but thus far no issues with the polymer plate. Adams Gear Solutions makes a great holster for this with a TLR-1 and compatibility with Safariland and G-Code mounting solutions. Excellent review, Tim. We appreciate your efforts. At first I had challenges with the mag release, however learned a downward sweeping motion works well to quickly change magazines.
which CPHWS plate is compatible with the gen 2 L? just the RMR to holosun plate?
@@frogchaser, to my knowledge it’s a one off with plans to bring to production. I haven’t seen any further release yet, sorry.
In reference to the stuff mag release many talk about, I put a drop of oil on the spring and that has made a big difference in ease of release while at the same time keeping it a purposeful release.
I’m 800rds deep into the arex delta m with zero issues. I will put another 400 through it then add it into my carry rotation. Im just waiting on arex to sell a threaded barrel for it. Going to throw on a Griffin Armament micro comp with inforce wild 2, I think that would be a solid edc choice.
Jason : Are you sure I should stand here?
Mack : Your fine, just don't flinch!
I know, it's just a joke, GREAT video again👍
I got the M model the trigger pull out of the box was corse and heavy@ almost 7 pound's. I polished up the guts, put in a 5 pound glock striker spring and now have a 5 pound trigger. Stock striker spring is 6 pounds. 4 pound spring gives light strikes. 2,000 rounds with 100% reliable
I have polished the striker and everything I could reach, stoned the sear/striker, and put in a 4# spring, I got to 3.75 pound pull. Pulling the firing pin block took it to 2.5 (I put it back). With wear it's down to 3.5 consistently.
@@OhioCruffler thanks for the information my Delta is in my carry rotation so i want to keep the trigger pull a little heavier. How did you remove the extractor in order to get to the striker block?
@@garymccausland1272 Take off the optics plate and tap it out from the top.
@@OhioCruffler thanks for the reply, mine isn't the optics ready model. The extractor is staked. How tight was your extractor installed?
Nice New York reload there at the beginning 💪
I also LOVE my Delta L Gen 2 - The only thing that I love more is my Canik TP9SFx. Both are affordable and are so easy to shoot.
Much rather have the Arex over the canik especially for the price. No turkey for me
thank you for the video tim!!! thanks for sharing the video of the handguns tim!!! keep up the great work you do!!!!
Thanks, Bobby.
@@Militaryarmschannel YOUR WELCOME TIM!!! AND THANK YOU!!
Love your work keep it up.
Thank you for the video Tim.
Thank you and thanks for watching.
This goes for all guns: Extended magazine releases are for rangeshooters, not for the real world. The risk of dropping your magazine by accident is just too big. Heck, even on the "tacticool-ipsc-range-2/3gun-mallninja" side guys are starting to understand that suddenly not having a magazine in your gun is a pretty bad thing. Just learn to use your gun properly (practice, practice, practice...). You really don´t need an extended magazine release, or it´s problems.
As I've said many times before, not every gun must be a fighting gun. Lots of people use them on the range and never carry them. I have no intention of carrying the Delta but I do enjoy shooting it. Thanks for watching.
Having more options is generally good. You don’t have to run the extended catch if you dont want to.
There are exceptions to this. Personally i have severe hitchhikers thumbs. My thumb basically looses all strength if i attempt to straighten it out. I use the pad of my knuckle for most things. Extended release, lets me actually USE the mag release with my thumb. Otherwise i have to use my trigger finger, which has a tendency to shift my grip on the gun during reload. I see the point you're making, but we all work out what works best for us.
Or you could just practice practice practice to not unintentionally engage your standard mag release (the Arex Delta has a recessed mag release from the factory - the replacement is a standard one, not an extended one)
Good stuff. Thanks!
You can buy the gen 2 grip and swap out the gen 1. You can also use the M sized grip with the L size slide assembly. Flawless function and the M style grip is long enough to stop any debris from getting in. Honestly I'm surprised AREX didn't offer this configuration as a model.
Any idea where you can find the different grip modules?
@@mrarchangel1 Arex international website. Global Ordinance is the importer, and they offer some parts, but I haven't seen them selling the grip modules stateside yet.
@@roguestang00 ty appreciate the info!
Primary arms is my go to place. I am always finding awesome deals.
I have been wanting a Glock 19 Gen 5 for a while now and was about to buy one when the price of the Arex caught my eye. It actually fit my hand better than the Gen 5 so I gave it a shot and took one home. I've come to realize that people keep comparing it to the Glock 19 but it's actually closer to the Glock 48 in size and weight.
Unloaded, it's actually a little lighter than the 48 and only a touch wider.
I put 100 rds through it this afternoon and was impressed. The only real negative that really stands out is the guarded mag release. I'm tempted to disassemble the frame/mag release and take maybe a millimeter off the plastic ridge that guards the mag release button.
Awesome video MAC!
Thank you and thanks for watching. 👊
For that opening alone, thumbs up 👍!
👍
I have all three of these and oddly enough in the same colors as you! My L is black, my M is gray and my X is Peanut Butter colored
That intro was prime! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
I have the Zero 1 and the Alpha. Need to check out the Delta.
Have the gen 2 m and love it. I know TFB already did the round count challenge, but let's see a gauntlet on the gen 2.
My thoughts also
Gauntlet... Ok, we can do that.
"You can grab them from front or rear" sounds like Andrew Cuomo describing women😂

Love the Duel Wielding Intro!! This Is The Way.
Thanks! Also thank you for watching.
I love my Delta L. Also I have P09 19 round magazines for that work fine, just look funny.
Yes, and won't drop free. I use my P09 mags for range mags in both the L and M.
Funny data point: The Arex mags can be used in the Stoeger STR9 if you cut a locking slot, but the CZ mags are too fat. A cascading thickness, if you will.
Oh Tim, you are a very funny man, great stuff.
I got my delta m gen 2 back in April only mine isn't optics ready I mounted a streamlight tlr7 on it it's my EDC there isn't a whole lot of holster options I use a Smart carry holster
Great video!! I had some slide slow down with Hst 147 2 FTB with it on the first 250 other than that my M has been working great. Using an t Rex arms IWB G19 holster for it. Fits great but had to adjust the retention screws. Any recommendations on sig hi sights for it?
All new polymer striker fired guns follow the same formula:
-Glock guts
-Walther P99 frame
Spice it up with different cuts in various areas and you have the same vanilla experience. Just an observation.
I think the same of most striker fire pistols. Im a CZ guy and I had ZERO interest in the P10c for that very reason.
This gun is the only one that has managed to make a thinner, lighter, and smaller frame than Glock.
Its more like a Sig P365 XXL. I like it.
Yeah agreed i got one becaus eit was dirt cheap. Found one for $330 also its only 18 oz unloaded so talking P365 or Shield weight and super thin but hold 15 rds flush and 17 rd extended mags
Great review and interesting firearm.
Still trying to figure out what was incoming at 22:17.
I love my Delta g2. I haven't kept a count but I know I have at least 800 flawless rounds through mine. All of my ammo is either 124 or 147gr so I can't say how it does with 115 gr ammo. I bought extra 15 and 17 round mags and have had zero issues with any of them. Just my opinion, but for the money, these pistols seem to be an excellent value.
Note the plastic RDS mounting plates use metric nut inserts. I found the included M4 screws too short to engage with my 507C. I had to custom make a set. I would prefer if they sent longer screws.
I didn't try the 507C. What is it with optics manufacturers like Trijicon not including mounting screws and plates being included with the wrong sized screws, if they include any at all?
@@Militaryarmschannel Indeed. What makes it worse, is sure you can order just about any screw you want, but the dimensions for the holes in the optics are non standard, so screw head sizes for 99% of what's available are all too damn big...
Mounted a Holosun 407k on my Delta M and had the opposite problem. Screws were too long that came with the Holosun. Had to trim them and also sand the front lugs on the adapter plate a bit for the optics to sit flush on the plate. Easy modification and seems good to go.
@@freedomlineman3105 I wasn’t aware the holosun a came with metric screws. Or did Arex change the inserts to Sae? My 2 holos had standard 4-40 and 6-32 screws
@@BuffRANGE My Holosun 407k came with the correct screw thread pitch that matxhed the #5 adapter plate supplied with the Delta. The screws were just long. Honestly not sure if the screws were metric or SAE?? My guess is they were metric. Sorry
The three size options remind me of the Beretta 92FS, 92 Centurion, and 92 Compact L.
Or a glock 19 17 and 34....
Thankyou for this video !
Thank you for watching.

0:20 Ah, the famous NY reload.

I'm glad to see our testing invention has become an internet standard. 😂

That intro was sick lol
I’m not one to waiver from perfection but that’s a nice one
Its nice to see that Gun manufacturers are now building around the 9mm instead of 40 S&W as the highest common denominator with the designs.
Its getting closer to the bleeding edge in sizes on the Micro and compact pistols.
As of 3/8/22 Arex still does not include the 509T adapter plate. It is available on their site though.
I would think of buying one of these if they one day make a subcompact size and lose those Glock takedown buttons.
I'm glad Arex is evolving though, maybe one day
I seen one was ok trigger decent but think 320 P10 walther etc has better triggers n feel
Love the intro lol !
Just need that “S” model. Come on Arex! Complete my EDC please!!
I’ve heard from watching to many Arex Delta videos and Polenar Tactical over and over and over, that we do believe something of that sorts is being worked on :D
I like it. Very futuristic looking and cool. I got my eye in the gen 2
Make a reliability test with the 3 new guns please
I love the way it looks, like a more full size p365
I also have really liked the gen 2 M. But have been waiting for months for global or gunzone to get in gray with optics mount. As soon as I see one in-stock I plan to buy..
Look at tsswarehouse. They have since sold out, but they had the grey with optics cut for $405 shipped. I kick myself for not buying one.
@@Murphy82nd Thanks bud
Thanks for the video.
Is the arex going to fit into a 48 holster?
Thanks
MSRP is $515-535 you listed map pricing, also it will take Springfield xdm sights. I wish you would have covered the optic mounts and strength of material and shown contents of cleaning kit since it’s far and away best kit that comes with a sub $550 firearm. Likewise it fits a Glock 19 holster with about 60% retention and a Security 9 and a SW MP EZ 9 holster with absolute retention only for m & x variations. On that note will there be a gauntlet test?
I listed pricing I found people finding them for online. Thanks for watching.
One of the few firearms that made it through the Gontlet test... if I remember correctly
Not this particular model. It was the Rex Zero 1 that did that. Thanks for watching.
Interesting guns. What is the pin in the frame above the mag. release button?
Have you taken a look at/ are you interested the Phlster Enigma?
can you please do a gauntlet test on this? and maybe even a shadow systems

Is it worth upgrading Gen 1 to 2? I would say yes. Bought Gen 1 and loved it. ...Until news of the Gen 2 came out later that SAME MONTH. Of course bought the Gen 2 M, put on a 507k and love it as well. Video points out the differences well. Shooting is very similar experience, main difference: obviously red dot, and the Gen 1 grip texture did bite a little. Liked the angular look a lot but upgrades make it a better gun. These Arex give me same feel of the quality+value I had when got the Canik back when first available from a established arms manufacturer entering US market. Just sold Gen 1 to fund gun budget for other purchases instead of “two the same”.
Thanks for sharing your experience and for watching.
Thanks for your videos. I’ve bought many more than one thing because of you. I posted comment because always wish that question would be brought up in reviews of next gen products. Obviously different for everyone re preferences, budget, collection, etc. but always interested in opinions on if worth upgrading. In this case I had experience to give opinion.
Yeah but can you put the L slide on the C frame??? Im really looking hard at the 5" compact PDP because they're the only ones giving us that combo. Plus it feels incredible in hand (like a striker fired CZ SP01 IMO)
Yes you can
Giving those Billy Connelly vibes in the intro. What if it was 1 guy with six guns?
I have a Gen 1 delta as my EDC, but I like the Gen 2 frame better. I wonder if you can transfer the firing module from a gen1 frame to a gen2 frame. They seem identical.
Yes you can. And you can
buy the frame from Arex and I think from global ordnance (US distributor)
This is a video of a full disassembly of a Gen 1

Yes, Mac speaks a little about grip module compatibility in the video. You can buy the gen 2 grip module from Arex international website. It does ship from Slovenia, but it's pretty fast shipping via DHL. That is what I did for my gen 1 delta.
Bought mine about 4 months ago
I have a Delta M G32xxx serial number range. It had a failure to reset the striker/trigger on the 28th round. I had to rechamber it 3 times before it finally rest. I had GO look it over and they were able to replicate the failure. They said that they changed some internal and sent it back. I haven't run it hard yet, only a few rounds to test function. Also the rear backstrap pin is oxidizing/rusty. Has anyone seen this on their Arex Deltas?

there are a bunch of guns coming in at that mid 400 dollar range competing with glock thats 200 dollars more.glock needs to rethink thier pricing if they dont have any new designs.
Glock will release a Gen 6 in another year or two. It will perfect the design more by going back to a 3 pin design, going back to a polygonal barrel, they'll throw some finger grooves on it and call it a Gen 6. 😂 I love Glock, but at this point they're pretty much a one trick pony. Thanks for watching.
