This is THE LEGEND (DX7) packed as a desktop sound module and named TX7. It's a 16 poly digital FM synth and it can load and play original DX7 sounds (loaded via MIDI or CC cassette tape).
Recorded in 24bit/48khz thru Fostex analog line mixer (model 2016) and additional reverb from Behringer DSP2024.

I have a really strange problem. I have loaded various Sysex libraries onto my TX7. They used to sound fine, but now they don't sound like they are supposed to! Like they are slightly distorted. For example I loaded your library but my presets don't sound like the ones in your video. Similar but just... wrong. Is it possible my TX7 is corrupted?
Did you try and reload the patches?

I hear there's a voice called LAMBO PIANO which is supposed to be the closest that FM has gotten to an acoustic

@@ytpremium7649 There is a nice simulation for the TX816, which uses all 8 DX7 modules, like one for the hammer sound, a couple others for other aspects. It sports so 6*8= 48 oscillators. I cannot find them as well. Want to load them into 8 Dexed.
Hey do you have any instructions how to import your presets into a TX7 specifically?
Use free soft Send SX (PC) or SysEx Librarian (Mac), connect MIDI cable (PC/Mac MIDI OUT to TX7's MIDI IN). On TX7's turn off "memory protection" (SHIFT + LOAD/PROT). Load TX7 sysex file into soft and pres SEND.

Is it difficult to program this?
TX7 could be programmed only with external soft/hardware programmer. I like to use free Dexed soft - it's easy.

no, I just collected them from different banks.
