- DJ Scream & Big Bank sit down for Episode 2 of Big Facts! In the first episode of 2020, Big Bank Black talks about his trip to Lagos, Nigeria with Future. He talks about the different level of poverty in Africa, and how the trip changed his perspective on how many resources are available even to the ghettos in America.
Next, they talk about letting go of petty drama and conflict in 2020. They discuss the purpose of the Big Facts Podcast, which is to deliver the whole truth, raw, & unfiltered. They talk about the trend of entertainers incriminating themselves in interviews & reveal that Big Facts will get to the real message of artists, & not their rap messages. Big Facts will dig into the truths that artists tell their family & friends. They dive into the dark side of entertainment, and some of the struggles that artists endure transitioning to a new level of success with fame, money, and managing it all.
Scream and Big Bank talk about Da Baby's recent arrest, and hip hop police. They touch on the recent death of Whitney Houston's stepson, Nick Gordon, and drugs killing off their whole family. Bank talks about revamping the DTE Duct Tape Entertainment logo for the new generation, & more.
Next, they talk about the evolution of the streets and how the internet is the new streets. Bank gives advice to artists to build up their own wave using the internet versus using old methods of street marketing when trying to get discovered.
Bank & Scream dive into relationships and their marriages. Bank talks about his wife and the ups and downs and growth that has come along with his 26 year relationship. He reveals that he will be celebrating 20 years being married in 2021 and plans to remarry his wife for keeping it so real.
Next, Scream and Bank touch on advice to youth in the hood trying to make away. Bank says "Get a Job"! He breaks down the numbers and shows how someone can turn a bleak situation into more if they have the determination and dedication to improving themselves. He urges the youth to think more rationally, and how making smart decisions with money and actions can set you up for success. It's not about just saying you are ready for more but backing that up with action!
Bank & Scream talk more about going into 2020 with a winning mindstate and what's required to find success. They both agree that action matters most, and to eliminate the fear of failure because failure is inevitable, but to learn from failure. Bank adds to stay in and create your own lane, and not to be afraid to try new things, & stop caring so much about who isn't showing support and focus on those who are and connecting the dots to what's missing.
Lastly, Bank & Scream talk about the ability to negotiate your worth, the difference between business vs friendship, being less emotional and more rational, being prepared for opportunity, treating people well, & not placing the blame on others when falling off.
