The most recent Minecraft movie news came when the studio revealed its release date. Warner Bros. officially set the Minecraft release date for April 4, 2025. This was a date Warner Bros. originally set for an untitled film, and it turned out to be for the Minecraft movie - news that was both unexpected and welcome. Warner Bros. continues to move its movie releases around, as it also announced Minecraft star Jason Momoa's DC movie, Aquaman & The Lost Kingdom will hit theaters on December 20, 2023.
There is also always a chance the Minecraft Movie release date could get moved, but for now, this is the set date. The movie hasn't started production yet, but it is scheduled to start shooting on August 7, 2023, in New Zealand (via KFTV). This gives the movie two full years to shoot the movie and do all post-production work, which is expected to be extensive with what gamers know about the world of Minecraft, and the fact it is a live-action movie.

It BAFFLES me that they are even considering to make the Minecraft movie live action. Don’t you think? I mean, why? Minecraft animations are everywhere, they’ve become their own genre at this point.
So, i don’t see how making the Minecraft movie animated and blocky would confuse people outside of the context of it being from the game.

Yes a lot of clips are from other films and yes the description says it's a concept but it is listed on IMDb with these actors, which is why this is only a concept trailer.

It's possible to make a Minecraft movie without it being incredibly goofy. Although I think you might have to omit some things, but a Minecraft movie could work. The plot could be something like "One man finds himself alone in a strange and foreign land. Armed with nothing, but his wit and determination, he seeks out to survive and thrive against the hostile forces and elements that lie in wait. But, as he ventures further into this unknown land, the secret and dark history of this strange world is slowly unraveled."
I'm sure someone could think of something better than me, but you get the idea.

Yeah, no. If this is what the Minecraft movie looked like, I would hate it, and I'm pretty sure a lot of the community would too. If they do end up making the Minecraft movie, they should make it in the animation style they make the update trailers in. At the same time, though, I like this.

Hi, a slight side track but still in the realm of movies; could you consider creating a tribute to the late and amazing Kevin Conroy? He passed away last year, and was the sole reason I got into acting. On MsMojo there was a video about the best voice acting in animate d movies and I think he should've been included for his role in Batman the Mask of Phantasm (the scene at the cementary). I have a VA background and there are some preconceived notions that it's not as demanding as regular acting; but the vocal training itself and perfecting the craft may take more time than any acting school. l feel like he's very underrated as Batman (ditto Mark Hamill as Joker) and even non existent in the conversation. PS. You almost saw me as Leon in those new Resident Evil games :)

Even though it is a concept trailer I honestly feel if Minecraft is going to be a movie it should be animated.
There is 3 art styles that would in theory be used, hopefully. We can have Black Plasma Studio (Squared Media) style animation, Captain Sparkels artstyle animation or the Element Animation/modern Mojang animation style.
Edit there is also the Blue Monkey art style animation they can take inspiration from
ending for minecraft movie: make an ending about you came back to your real life world/earth after beated the ender dragon
