This is cool man, nobody covers this phone anymore. Feels like it got sort of lost to history. Honestly I have two phones I think with the 855 chip and they both run fine. If anything there's a little bugginess in the software from being kind of old and probably do a factory reset in some cases but my G8X and surface duo run an 855 and they are pretty smooth experiences. It still meets minimum specs to run the GTA trilogy from Netflix which is a interesting case study since the 8:55 is the oldest trip that officially supports it (although in some cases it's available for the 845 chip but the official documentation they say it has to be an 855 or newer).
@@stevanstankovic5938 🤷♂️ more durable than we thought. Also I treated my $2,000 phone like it was a $2,000 phone and not like something I got from the dollar store.
I have had fold 2 for a year, loved it, it has one dead pixel in the middle but still works fine, I gave it to my mum. I upgraded to fold 3, I LOVED IT, but sadly not even 2 months after I got it I dropped it on really sharp pair of twezzers and poked thru the screen. Now I am using s22 ultra and I am missing folds soooooo much. Now I will prob end up buying og fold or super cheap fold 2. (fold 3 was brand new, it was still on oneUi 3.1.1 when I got it)
It's crazy just how long phones last. I mean you have one of the first good foldable phones for 4 years and it's still champin along, if you weren't a phone connoisseur I'm sure you'd say it's still just fine minus that one stuck pixel.
Yeah honestly in some cases I actually prefer older phones. Stuff like the Note 9 or the LG V60, or G8X (which runs the same chip as the fold in this video I think). Both run pretty damn smooth to this day. If anything is holding it back it might be Android 12 but I don't think it's the chip.
I had that phone, until the crease cracked and wrecked the screen thankfully had insurance got a replacement and then traded it in for the fold 2 :D, I did love the phone though I always thought it was really stylish and comfortable to hold.
