Don't apologise! I'm so grateful for all the time and effort you put in to producing your videos. I've been following you for quite a while now - other channels have come and gone, but I watch yours every week. What you do interests and inspires me, so thank you - you deserve a break, so do take one in January as you suggest.
Your story feels like explaining that each of us is full range. From freedom of expression and stopping when you didnt know what more to do next... Then you return to mark-making that is structured... Organising the brain. Most omportantly, I appreciate you for sharing your full range of your art mind & heart.
I think you are entitled to a break. I always find inspiration with your videos and appreciate all of the tips I have learned. Enjoy your holiday break and look forward to watching you next year.
Those are very important tips that you mentioned. I was also able to get some "unusable" watercolors out again and designed beautiful winter greeting cards. A little structural paste for the snow on a tree, silver and glitter, small stick-on glitter stones made it perfect. The unusable watercolors shone with new splendor. Things don't always go the way you want them to. I understand if you can't or don't want to commit to a style. I love the playful nature of using existing materials. I find everything else restrictive. That's why I especially love the description of your difficulties this time and your honest feelings during your processes. The first picture presented captivated me, it's beautiful! I'm excited to see what you'll do with the others. I love watching your work steps. And at the end there's always a magical surprise! Thank you for that too. I feel a lot of joy, relaxation, and inspiration when creating your work. I have a few major health problems and will be on the Canary Islands from January to early March, getting away from the darkness and cold, perhaps finding new inspiration and relaxation. Unfortunately, the coming months will be somewhat problematic. I understand so much of what I hear in your words. You can't just function for others. You really need this time out for your personal needs, you are very hardworking. Oh, I just want to let you know that you bring us all great joy here. THANK YOU FOR SHARING 🤩Thinking of you, take care of yourself, have a nice weekend!
I wish you a speedy recovery and good health. I'm sorry you're going through a rough time with your health. Take good care of yourself and I will be here with lots of new inspiration in the new year! Happy holidays 💕❤️
I love the purple one, shown just before the green. I hope to see you do that one and to see how you embellish it. I am new to WC, and love abstract work, and I’m in awe of what you do. For me, your basic is good. It inspires me to do more.
Thank you so much Bettina, I really really enjoyed watching you create this awesome piece of artwork. I watch you because I really love ❤❤❤ Your art and I’ve always learnt something new every time I watch you. And I love ❤❤ your gentle voice and all that you show us all. You feel like a friend. You are so special and I know that our lives would be so much poorer without you. Please stay safe and well too. xxxx Mags ❤❤❤❤
I love the finished ones. I have a whole pile of unfinished work. It really doesn't matter what you do, everything is a practise. And if you end up not finishing them, you can always use them in some mixed media piece. 😊
Ty for sharing! Idk how you come up with content week after week…so don’t be too hard on yourself, Bettina. Merry Christmas and here’s to a Peaceful, Healthy and Happy New Year💜🎄🎨
You are reminding me of myself: I also judging myself as an artist and my art way too hard and think I have to make progress or need to be better than what I just created. But art is about having a good time and doing what we like. One of the biggest problems: posting it online. Then we have so much pressure on us instead of just leaning back and enjoying the progress. I absolutly love the work you are judging and it inspires me a lot!
You are so right. Truthfully though, I love posting my stuff, because I too, am learning so much from all of you! I understand that exposes me to not only criticism, but also trolls and haters. But don't worry, I wouldn't do it, if I didn't have fun. And not everything I do, I post online, so there is plenty for me to enjoy 💕❤️😊 Thank you for being here and I wish you a happy holiday season
Please keep in mind that some of us out here, me included, are beginners in this kind of process. So if you think it is too simple, it’s not! I enjoyed watching the video and will enjoy trying it in my own. I follow a few other channels that can be quite intimidating. I just want to play with my paints no matter the end results. So thank you for being here each week for us!! BTW, why are the Finetec metallics so much more expensive than most?
I often forget that people will find simpler art more approachable and don't mind it one bit. While on my end, it feels like I'm repeating myself. It's good that you all remind me that it is OK. So thank you for this. As for the gold, your guess is as good as mine. Maybe it's because they're from Germany? They ARE a good quality so to me it's worth it. But yes, I wish art materials weren't so expensive 😫
It happens, and generally it doesn't bother me. But I really think it's the season. I too, do lots of other things on the side. I craft, knit and crochet... I need that to get a break from painting. It's good to have other creative outlets. Thanks for watching ☺️💕❤️
I only discovered your videos recently, and I’m so happy I did. I love these process videos-they teach me so much and are incredibly relaxing to watch. I’m looking forward to seeing more of your videos and wishing you wonderful Christmas holidays in advance.
2 minutes in & ii love truly every one.... colors, shapes, put togethers, patterns ... understand how some days nothing seems right ... to me ... & yet ... you plant the seed & someone waters it & everyone is blessed ...
Congratulations on not missing a week. It's always nice to meet one's goals. However don't apologize... you can't please everyone BUT the important thing is you're happy, and if you only make a difference in one other's life - that's everything to that person. Your videos are always inspiring and are greatly appreciated. I know the work that goes into being a content creator. When do members' videos become public for all subscribers?
Thank you and I appreciate your comment 💕❤️ As far as members only videos go, I have no intention to release the one or future videos to the public. Sorry. I know you keep asking, but there are plenty of videos on my channel for everyone to watch, that I don't feel bad keeping a couple for just members only. They deserve a teensy bit of special treatment for their extra support, wouldn't you say so?
@_bettina_fernandez_ ohhhhh ... when we talked about this before, you said members got videos before subscribers got them. I took that to mean we'd get them eventually. That's why I resubscribed. Do they deserve something extra? Of course, that's what P atreon is for. Anyway, my misunderstanding. Wish you the best. 🙂
There must be something happening all over. A good number of the content creators I follow on UA-cam have been struggling lately with the direction of their sites and talking about it. A few took time off and some completely changed their format. Maybe it's just part of the growing process.
I think creators are just feeling performance pressure. I blame the algorithm for all of it, haha! I try not to let it influence me, but I'm not always successful. I have to remind myself that I'm doing this first and foremost because I truly enjoy it. With every video I learn more about myself and my art, and I'm happy to hear others find them inspirational. Happy holidays!
I want to share with you and everyone that reads this. This is a great advice list from CreationCeCe that has given me much comfort and serenity in my art studio. I have it on my wall ant look at it every day: " 1. Limit your color of choice - choose 3-5 that goes well together 2. Start the way you love. It is not wrong or bad to start the same way you always do. 3. What makes your heart sing? A motiv, a colour, a shape, doodling? Do that. 4.Where and how do you want to add what makes your heart sing? Start in one place, keep on going from there or jump to another place in the painting, dotnt try to do everthing , every where at once. 5. How much do you want to experimet? Do you have to experimetn every time. Do the things that bring YOU joy. It doesent have to be a new creation, a more exciting creation. What you create is enough " Your style is to do what makes you joy. Keep on going. You are doing a great job! I love evereything you do. It makes me continue to do the things I love, As Jill Badonsky says " I paint so I dont die of reality" If that means that I paint the same thing over and over again who cares? ( I paint bugs now, paper an paper with bugs, and I LOVE it) The thing is to survive reality! Lots of love. Katarina in Sweden
If you’re upset I’m sorry, but at the same time I wish you would find a friend to talk to and leave your channel for art. We all have problems are are looking for some uplift, not 30 minutes of complaining. I’ll be unsubscribing. It’s a shame too because I like your art.
Well, first of all, it wasn't 30 minutes of complaining. Second, it's not my job to uplift you. I share my findings, explain my process, and give criticism to what I think I can do better next time, so that others can hopefully learn as well. Also, you don't need to announce your departure. I think we'll be fine.
Exactly. Also, I think it's good for others to hear that just because I post a new video every week, doesn't mean I always have good days. And because the videos are heavily edited, it just always makes it look like we have it together, which we don't. I may not always get the wording right (because I don't script my videos), but most of you get what I'm trying to say 🤭😉 Thank you for always being here and I hope you have a wonderful holiday season! ❤️💕

Most omportantly,
I appreciate you for sharing your full range of your art mind & heart.
Wow! You explained it so much better than I ever could! That really resonated with me. Thank you! 💕❤️
Wowee 🎉🎉🎉🎉 the first one I am looking at is gorgeous ❤
I agree. I thought WOW.
It always amazes me what viewers find interesting! I think I've filmed it all and might post it for next Friday.
Thank you so much 💕❤️
Love all your videos … we sometimes don’t realise what is involved in making videos so I, so appreciative.. have a wonderful Christmas season
At least I don't hate the editing process anymore. It has become easier, but it still takes forever. Merry Christmas to you as well 💕❤️
I think you are entitled to a break. I always find inspiration with your videos and appreciate all of the tips I have learned. Enjoy your holiday break and look forward to watching you next year.

I know how you feel. I've been on a painting funk for a few months now. So I've been doing some sewing and crocheting lately.

As a beginner I am learning so much rewatching these videos.
🫡 Yes Ma'am! 😊 I plan on doing just that. ❤️💕
