PSLE is not everything in life I scored a A for math during PSLE even tho I didt finish 5pg of questions 😅 but than like what I said PSLE is not everything and does not determine you in anyways and so I started to scored lower and lower in every test and i'm sec 2 this year I failed my math wif f9 the whole except for CA2 I got a A1 since the paper was easy but then this shows how much you scored during PSLE does not determine anything it is just a small milestone in your life you have many other things to do and overcome in life so to any P6 students seeing this the marks you got on your result slip for PSLE is not everything to your life and it doest matter if you got good grades or bad ones you just need to remember to put in all your efforts when doing anything in life then you won't feel regretful of not doing this or that :D

The one involving Huan and his candy box. From what I heard, a similar question came out in the O Levels E math paper *16 years ago*

Relatable.
I took PSLE last year, it’s actually not too hard for as long as you study. The problem is that everyone is aiming for like 260-over and they are disappointed when they don’t achieve it. Also, parents tend to overestimate their child’s potential. My mom expected me to get into Raffles Girls’ School when I rarely get an A* during regular tests (91 and above). I did my best and got the highest score I had ever gotten in Primary school (two A* and two A) but my mom took one look at my scores and started crying, which really demotivated me in the first quarter of my secondary school year, but luckily I got better grades in TA1 and felt more confident during TA2 about one month ago. And I’ve finally found people I fit in with, and despite my mother constantly telling me off for choosing O-level over IP, I genuinely loved it at St Nicks and I really hope all my former classmates found a school with people they click with.

You may want to take a look at the 2017, 2018 and 2019 papers! I suspect they selected the easiest questions in order to make the adults seem 'worse' at Math and therefore make the video funnier. Paper 2's standard is a couple of notches above that of Paper 1.

@@moistyrod7177 well, i believe that engineer and scientists wouldn't need understand the smallest insignificant concept about multiple factors in maths? they got a much complicated thing to solve. the knowledge in psle are not even the least applicable. needless to say more than half portion of singapore earn their salaries through mostly communication in business and service sector. you wanna have a deep profound understanding of every single useless concept? fine. then be a genius like Einstein. even then 3/4 of the world still doesn't give a damn of his theories and some theories are still in question of its full potential in application. the truth is often hard to swallow. we don't need it, so... it was forgotten.

Every paper is being set for a reason, if you had not done well in ur year, don’t be salty about 2017’s math paper and stop calling it ez. As someone from the batch of students who took PSLE 2019, my tip is to pay attention in class and know your work, that way, before exam, you won't have to study that hard and can focus only on patching up rather than relearning everything. With this my math shot up by more than 20 marks, from 71 to 92.5 over a span of the last 10 months.
Take note:
The covers of psle papers are actually coloured, just so you won't get a shock. For compo, there is a booklet for question paper and a booklet for the foolscap- meaning you write inside the booklet to answer.
BEFORE PSLE:
Sleep. Take lots of naps. By the final day before psle, just spend an hour looking through your notes and that's it. Go to sleep. Trust me on this ;)
KEY during math exam- manage your time wisely during the paper. Try finishing first five questions of paper 2 within 12 minutes. If a paper 1 booklet a question takes longer than 4 minutes, skip. If a paper 2 question takes longer than 7 minutes, skip.
DURING PSLE:
After you return home from your papers, just sleep. Remember, max two hours of revision and then take a nap. You deserve a rest. Also you'll feel confident the next day. Drink some ginseng tea, it helps wake you up.
Hope my survival tips help! I hope you do well. Even if you don't, heyy, take comfort from the fact that you have studied your hardest! Good luck :)

Good luck! 2021 student here, my tip is to just revise every question in any paper at all. Try as hard as you can to understand it and the reason for why the solution is the way it is. During psle, try to recall the solutions and try to apply them to the questions.
Fun Fact:
1. Common multiple is taught in P4 (10 y/o)
2. Multiplying decimals is taught in P5 (11 y/o)
3. You don’t need algebra in MCQ aka Paper 1.

they arent actually dumb, when you grow older youll forget about the basics you learn in primary school because from secondary school + jc/poly it's all advanced until you can't even remember what basics are. i'm in sec 1 and i cant even remember how i did some of the questions i did in psle.
it also depends on what type of job/course they take. obviously if you take a science course u'll tend to forget things that relate to pri sch math so yee.
