@@AlvintheDirector Thanks for the reply, and hope you’re doing well at Ft. Wainwright, my good friend just left there a couple of weeks ago after a 3 year tour. If I could ask one more question, does your prior work experience or skills related to each branch factor at all into your branching?
Phi, I have a quick question on how OML works for Reservists such as myself because I have already chosen my Unit (located in Montgomery, AL) and MOS (36A) so how does OML apply to Reservists if we go into OCS knowing our MOS and Unit status? Just curious.... I do understand how the OML grading chart applies to Active Duty/Regular Army as you guys have to compete for available slots during OCS; hints, OML....
Lance Driskell Not even gonna lie to you, the OML really doesn’t apply to Guard and Reservists. However that may change very soon. All you have to do is just pass all of the required events
Got about till the end of the month for the p.t. test. I would really like to increase pushups, situps, and my running. Any advice for these categories?
Vex honestly the best bet in doing your best for these events is to work every day. One day focus on cardio, and running, then the next day focus on doing push ups and sit ups for time.
If you fail, they will drop you from the company and they may give you another chance. If they don’t, I’m not 100% sure what happens next. We only had a few people fail land Nav and history but they all got a second chance with the next company
Flashcards... I live and die Flashcards for all my classes! Love it. That and group study make success possible!
Good stuff 👏🏼
Do you know if your college GPA effects your OML? Or is it entirely based off merit from your time in OCS?
The Army doesn’t care about your College GPA

@@creedom52 In ROTC it plays a significant factor in your OML. Probably not so much in OCS

@@AlvintheDirector Thanks man I'll give it a shot. Any cardio exercises you'd recommend?
How often do you get ranked? Like does it update once a week or something?
Jordan R it will get updated about every 3 weeks
What’s test format for the history? Is it multiple choice or writing?
Sung Min I take the history test in a week and half
Is infantry a highly sought branch?
Yes
@@AlvintheDirector i would have never guessed that. What about engineer?
@@AlvintheDirector how about armor? What are the branches with the most slots (on average .. or use your OCS experience)?
Lt , too many low graded peer evaluations can that lead to being removed from the ocs class?
It just depends. My recommendation, be a good person and you won’t have to worry about peer evals
It is possible being at the top of the oml and not getting the branch you want
What happens when someone fails OCS? How many ppl failed in your class?

Do you have peer evaluations in ocs
Indeed. There are peer evals
Can you look at oml
