Hope all is well. Great video as usual. Seems to be much simpler than what the Rockshox video seems. Already swapped my 2023 Pike airspring for the 2025 version. Was planning to do the 3.1 upgrade, but was thinking about sending it off and getting the bushing size checked and do the 3.1 at the same time.
Funny you mention the air spring. I have it, and contemplated including it in this video but I really want to try the new damper with the current air spring for a bunch of rides before swapping it with the latest one. I'll probably make a video on swapping the air spring when the time comes.
@ Let me know what you think about the difference the 3.1 makes with the v1 airspring. I’m about 80kg and running 82-85psi for 20% sag. V2 did feel slightly better in the middle position. I’ve never ran the LSC fully open was always in the middle or +/-2
What ever happened to having a the crows foot holes on headset and pedal wrenches? Now they're all hexagon, circle or a triangle. I have an old headset wrench that has a 1/4" hole
it's a good point. What i've been meaning to purchase is an adjustable crowfoot to test. They might seem expensive but they range from 0 to 30mm, which is a really wide range. one of these days I'll pick one up.
great video, pro as usual, pushing the lower rod beyond that limit is bad only when bleeding or anytime ? what if you push it beyond the limit when the damper is assembled and bled ?
Thanks for the comment. My understanding is that in no scenario do you want to exceed the line. Even when the damper is installed and the fork is fully compressed, that line won't be exceeded. You will purge too much oil from the system, and the only way to level it out is by bleeding it again. If anyone out there believes this is incorrect or too simple an explanation, please let me know.
I believe the charger 3.1 has a Standard compression tune (optional heavy tune) and a medium rebound tune (optional light and heavy tune) If you were to buy a stock fork of the shelf.
Funny you ask. Turns out one of my buddies that had one, sold his last October, which explains why I hadn't heard from him asking to rebuild his shock this off season. If I knew he was going to sell it I would have serviced it before he sold it to make a video. The only other person I "sort" of know, who had one, sold his bike last summer, which I knew about a while back. So know it's a waiting game as they are rare in our area. Also, I've been hammered at work these past two months so I haven't had time to work on as much this off season so far. You live in the states?
43:50 If LSC is fully closed you should align the line next to the + with the marking
GREAT catch! even though it more aesthetic than anything, I'll make sure to add it in the description. Thanks for pointing this out. 👍
@@zoubtubeSure thing. Btw, an incredibly helpful video as always :)
Thank you for your hard work😊
Thank you for taking the time to watch it and for the comment. let me know if there are any questions

Hello, very helpful videos !! Do you know what is the stock tune for rebound and compression for this kit?

@@zoubtube I mean the charger 3.1 kit to upgrade from charger 3
