I’m trying UA-cam body doubling for the first time. I almost immediately stopped the first video I tried because she stopped talking and played music, and I can do that myself. I like the chatting because it feels more like you’re actually working on something with someone.
I love that you brought up talking because personally for me it helps so much when they are talking so if i walk away for a minute i can hear the person talking and it reminds me to get back to cleaning
I’ve never really tried a body doubling video but OMG THIS IS ACTUALLY SO HELPFUL! I have adhd and I suspect maybe also autism I cleaned my room and swept my carpet and floor and it feels so much more like an open space thank you for making this video!
I really liked the way she made this video. The talking helped me stay locked into what I was doing and I liked how long it was. If I was doing something that was time consuming, I always get distracted switching from video to video so that was really nice. :)
Body doubling really helps for me, with adhd sometimes i get distracted or discouraged but having someone with me reminds me to keep cleaning or encourages me to not give up
Try putting the sweaters in a space bag because it makes it easy to have space. Since space bags you take the air out to shrink it it has saved me so many times . Try it it may work especially in the summer time when you don't need them.

Now that I know of this concept I will look into it more. Thanks for the video, I’m not done with my hair but this was one of my favorite “body doubling” videos I’ve ever watched and been productive with. If anyone is looking for someone who does this type of real time cleaning for more body doubling, Midwest Magic Cleaning is really good.
For my sweaters and hoodies i put them in my cupboard in my room but you can also put them on your shelves but if you dknt have a cupboard or shelves to but them i recommend hanging them up, if you have a separate hanging rack from your shirts or stuff you should put them there since there so bulky
i personally hang up any sweaters but you could try buy on4 of those stand alone clothing racks(probaly a small one for convienience reasons) to put your main sweaters on

i highly recommend getting a sturdy wooden chest to store your sweaters i have about 50 in a roughly 3.5’x2’x2.5’ chest but can fit way more than that if i lay them flat in a stack bc the weight of the wood kinda squishes it anyway, i know this was posted a year ago and you might’ve figured it out but just in case anyone else needs it too
Thanks for the recommendation! I have no more space for any more furniture, but I did have a large wooden chest in my previous home and it was indeed great for my hoodies and sweaters.

About 48 minutes into the video, and I’m soon done with my small kitchen. It’s been a baaaaaaad state for nearly two weeks … I can now make food here, without me moving the dirty dishes, cups and pans, to the floor! Also. I’m not formally diagnosed with adhd, but I’m very certain I have it 😅
Wow, great job on cleaning up the kitchen! I know how frustrating it can feel when spaces like that are no longer functional. I'm currently in the middle of another deep room clean myself. It sucks, but the small progress bit by bit feels very encouraging. ADHD is so commonly missed! If you think getting a diagnosis could be helpful for you, I'd definitely recommend trying to do it!

I struggle with decluttering and organization. also, I have anxiety and depression but, I'm starting to think it might be undiagnosed ADHD. anyways, I've been struggling to organize and declutter my closet and dresser for the past month, and this video helped :) I also got some motivation to sort of tidy up my bedside table (it's still cluttered, I have to go through my drawers but, at least it looks nicer). :) I like how you talked throughout the video (you don't have to as much bc I know how tiring it can get), but just to know there's somebody there in the room along with me body doubling helped me tackle things I've been putting off. -- I'm rambling aren't I? Omg that would be lowkey genius but I sadly have no more space for one and feel like it would bother me visually. Right now I just keep moving things back and forth from under the bed/in the attic when the seasons change.
I have a situation that seems impossible. I am one person with a relatively small house. I have enough clothes for 10 people because I have had access to free designer clothes for about 10 years. I wish I could think of an idea on how to store pants I have no space for. No closet space and no storage. It’s hard to pick from (or sell) my 25 or so pairs of near-identical black pants… when there’s nowhere to hang them. #Shame
Ugh I relate so much to this! It's always so painful to let go of things that are good quality and you feel like they could still be of value/useful. I try to think of it as, well, it's a shame to have them and not wear them so it's already going to waste, and even if you can't sell them, if you just donate or give them away, at least you gain back the space and a sense of order in your life. I know it's very challenging, but I hope it helps a little. Good luck!

(genuinely curious hah) I think this kind of video is much more effortless and casual to make, so it felt easier to just be myself! And even though I was a bit tired/grumpy by the end of it, I do like the feeling of clearing up my space and having a bit more order and "new energy". Thanks for your comment!

Hoodies can save so much space if folded correctly. Ever since I watched a video on how to, they created this positive neat space. Look it up.

And i prefer the videos to be very long because while cleaning it can take me up to 5 hours because i will get off track or distracted
