The bank was open for Brooks on 9 for a always-appreciated Halftime Ace and a one-over-par Front 9 on a VERY hard course!
Aces on Hole 9 are sorely underappreciated since capping the Front 9 with an Ace is a MASSIVE confidence booster (and Brooks came quite close to an Ace on 10 as well... I can just imagine how pumped he would've been to end the Front 9 with an Ace, then kick off the Back 9 with an Ace as well...)

If you watch these videos and it seems like Brooks has a lot of videos from the Myrtle Beach area, it's because the 20 mile stretch along the coast there is more mini golf places than you can imagine. We just came back from there and there is a stretch of Rte 17 where there is one about every 1/4 mile for 5 or 6 miles. I would guess in the area there are probably close to 40. We played Mutiny Bay, Cancun Lagoon, and Mt Atlanticus. They were all great courses.

He says in another video that the course record here is 25. I personally had the course record there for a little while in the mid-90's having shot a 29. If I had to guess the year, I'd say 1994 or 1995 but I really don't remember. They wrote my name on a whiteboard saying it was low round of the day and then later told me that the owner told them it was the course record. I have no idea how long it lasted before someone broke it but I can't imagine it was for very long.

@@BrooksHolt For better or worse, depending on the year, I was only 10 or 11 when I set the record. Like I said, I don't imagine it lasted very long. It was a once in a lifetime round where I had nothing worse than a 2 on all 18 holes with several aces mixed in to get it down to 29.
