I think as kids we struggled with bosses like stinger chameleon ,boomer kuwanger, etc because we werent used to recognizing more diagnally oriented attack patterns. Nowadays it seems the opposite has happened with games like cuphead where people seem to struggle with cardinal direction influenced attacks. Weird how that happens.

I want somebody to make a fan game with Zero that basically predates all the X games. Where in it, the player learns that Wily wasn't necessarily a bad guy, but him and Dr Light just had opposing views on the use of AI and robotics, which led to this fierce competition between the two doctors. With the final level of the game ending as the first level of MMX1.
This Zero series was awesome! You should do runs like this with Zero through the whole series with the hard mods as well, like you did with X. You play so well on these no damage ones that the characters under your control move, fight, and react the way that I'd imagine the canon characters would. Watching these videos is like seeing an episode of Death Battle =) Very cinematic! It ruins that "watching a Hollywood movie or anime" when you glitch out the bosses to kill them tho =( The one criteria I'd add to your run throughs is "no glitch." I'd be a good way to show off your skills to. Show that you CAN glitch them out because you know WTF you're doing in game, but then actuallt fight the boss fairly and still not get hit lol, that'd rule Also, on X3, thanks for slowing down a second in the cut scenes so that I could read the words, instead of having to seek and pause to figure out what they're saying. Helps relive the nostalgia to see the plot again lol Seldom have I seen video games get so much of the crap beaten out of them, well done! Thanks for sharing

there is an error in the ending! the "square" shoulders of zero appears for the first time from MMx2, after Zeros dying. In this ending. In the Ending because of zero not dying, the shoulder parts should Be Spherical. BTW, nice game / gameplay!

This fanmade edition is awesome, needs some improvements (shoulders and jewels could be the chest upgrade). If you can't share links, at least some clues.
I think my biggest gripe is the weapon effects not working on the bosses! Like spark mandril not freezing, armored armadillo not electrocuted… other than that, solid run man.
This is a great video and I love the idea behind the hack, but I don't think I could play this, the parallax in the highway level makes me nauseous especially just before vile shows, the PlayStation X sprite clashes with the SNES sprites, and it's rife with typos (not a huge problem just bugs me personally). But none of those have bearing on the quality of your video and your skill at the game! Still great work :)

Oooh now this is something different. I was just expecting X3 Zero to be running around but taking the extra mile to do palette swaps for the weak point weapons too. Its actually very cool that Wily is all "destroy my nemesis" rather than some supportive Light stuff. The red color and the sinister capsule with a skull really sold the Wily thing

“Go my friend and stop Sigma!” I find that to be much more exciting dialogue versus “Maybe you can destroy Sigma.” On that, I would say the dialogue definitely has improvements over the original, and not just alterations to reflect the role change.
Trying to figure out how I can do a version of Megaman X with playable Zero, with proper text fixes as well as using the X1 Canonical sprites and the changes to the Capsules as well. Like, I wonder what Rom hacks in what order I'd need to apply them.
It's funny when I first played x games I thought they were just bad guys. Then maverick hunter came out n gave them more of a background story. When I play the games now I picture them being maverick the 2nd time u kill them but kind of mindless
I think it's ok but the effects on this when you use charges or other powers for this kind of game it is not aproppiate (the same with the Maverick's load screen effects) i mean, it's a retro game and those kind of lightning effects it doens't make any justice to the original game. Easily anyone would suffer an epileptic seizure with that effects (lol joke). Now, the map select screen it's clearly higly inspired on MMX6, it's weird watch something like that. However, i found interesting and well made the Zero Playable concept, the fact that you can be able to use the Maverick's habilities like the original game (the color palettes for the weapons are good too) and the replacement for the Hadouken by using the Saber it's amazing. The new capsules fits perfectly well. By the way, good gameplay!

You should try Zero's patch that Peru made. It uses his X1 design and adds 1 more boss in the boss rush (doesn't happen for all of the bosses tho).
Plot twist: X did not die, but he got severely injured (when he went boom in Sigma Stage 1), so he went back to the Hunter Base.

My only complaint about this whole mod is that Mega Man X4's sprite is wholesomely inferior to the original Mega Man X sprite and its animations.

I'd have used the "Ready" voice clip from X6. It just sounds the best of the three (four? Counting JPN X4?)

“Go my friend and stop Sigma!” I find that to be much more exciting dialogue versus “Maybe you can destroy Sigma.” On that, I would say the dialogue definitely has improvements over the original, and not just alterations to reflect the role change.

This looks really good but I think the light effects in the shot are a bit too much
Trying to figure out how I can do a version of Megaman X with playable Zero, with proper text fixes as well as using the X1 Canonical sprites and the changes to the Capsules as well. Like, I wonder what Rom hacks in what order I'd need to apply them.
It's funny when I first played x games I thought they were just bad guys. Then maverick hunter came out n gave them more of a background story. When I play the games now I picture them being maverick the 2nd time u kill them but kind of mindless
I think it's ok but the effects on this when you use charges or other powers for this kind of game it is not aproppiate (the same with the Maverick's load screen effects) i mean, it's a retro game and those kind of lightning effects it doens't make any justice to the original game. Easily anyone would suffer an epileptic seizure with that effects (lol joke).
Now, the map select screen it's clearly higly inspired on MMX6, it's weird watch something like that.
However, i found interesting and well made the Zero Playable concept, the fact that you can be able to use the Maverick's habilities like the original game (the color palettes for the weapons are good too) and the replacement for the Hadouken by using the Saber it's amazing. The new capsules fits perfectly well.
By the way, good gameplay!
