What are the main differences between the Axkid NextKid vs the BigKid? I am in NZ so to get the NextKid is hard, but the BigKid is in stores. Is one safer than the other? been tested more? Your comments will help me, thanks so much
The Nextkid has been discontinued and replaced with the Nextkid. But if you can still get the Bigkid then I would get that. They are both good safe seats, manufacturers just constantly change their products. This doesn't always mean that the newer ones are better, they're just different.
They are ISOfix guides. In most new cars the ISOfix points are easy to find and connect the seat to. But in a lot of older cars they can be quite deep down in the slit between the car’s seat cushion and backrest, and that can make installing the seat difficult. Fitting those yellow things opens up the upholstery to expose the points and make it easier to fit the seat. That’s the theory anyway. In reality I never use them, they always go in the bin. 🤣
Do you have video about how remove covers here? 🙏
Not yet. I’ll try to do one soon.
Are there any safety ratings for this seat? I couldn't find any info on it. Thanks
I’m afraid that unless ADAC have tested a seat, you won’t find safety ratings online. I would say that high end boosters all perform quite similarly.
