Ephesus was a major hub of Early Christianity. This impressive city was central point of Paul’s ministry. Several books of the Bible were written here and an infamous riot recorded in the Book of Acts, broke out against the Christians. Ephesus was the launching point for the gospel’s continuous expansion into the western world.
For decades biblical Turkey has been the focus of study for distinguished historians, Dr. Mark Wilson and Dr. Andrew Jackson. Now these old friends reunite and travel together on the road to Ephesus. Along the way they share their combined historical, archeological and biblical expertise to bring the scriptures to life for modern believers.
You’ll travel along archaic Roman roads where apostles walked, pass through marble gates into the beautifully excavated city of Ephesus where extensive ruins echo with thousands of years of history. My wife and I tromped around Ephesus a few years ago, piecing together our meager understanding of classic and Church history. How we would have loved to have travelled with this duo with their rich texture of what was spread out before us. Even now we visit our memories enriched by this marvelous commentary.

What an interesting video and very helpful as my wife and I are God willing going on a footsteps of the Apostle John and Paul tour in late September /October . It includes Ephesus ,Patmos , Corinth and Athens and I can't wait. I have a coin in my collection from Ephesus, it can be seen on my website Testimoney I plan to take it back there and do an article featuring it. It was struck/minted in AD49-50 just before the Apostle Paul arrived in the city and it actually features the image of Diana /Artemis on it. Amazing when you think it was in the city then and was handled by thousands of people some who would have seen the Apostles John and Paul.

4:56 The main reason was that if you accepted money from Rome to build/rebuild you were far more indebted to them therefore more obligations and subserviences. Nothing from Rome was free. Similar happens today from certain countries that shall remain nameless.

Everybody talks about Paul’s letter to Ephesians but not about the Lord Jesus letters to the church of Ephesus

Beware of False prophets in the last days

Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.
Wars and rumors of wars in the last days
Matthew 24:6
You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.
Luke 21:10 -11
Then He said "Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom. There will be great earthquakes, famines, and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from Heaven.
The Gospel shared in the last days
Matthew 24:14
And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, then the end will come.
People turning away from the faith in the last days
1 Timothy 4:1-2
The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron.
God's anger through weather
Psalms 18:7-12
The earth trembled and quaked, and the foundations of the mountains shook; they trembled because He was angry. Smoke rose from His nostrils; consuming fire came from His mouth, burning coals blazed out of it. He parted the heavens and came down; dark clouds were under His feet. He mounted the cherubim and flew; He soared on the wings of the wind. He made darkness his covering, His canopy around him- the dark rain clouds of the sky. Out of the brightness of His presence clouds advanced, with hailstones and bolts of lightning.
Deny yourself to be a follower of Christ

Then He called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: “Whoever wants to be My disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow Me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for Me and for the gospel will save it.
Confess Christ

“Whoever acknowledges Me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in Heaven. But whoever disowns Me before others, I will disown before My Father in heaven.
God loves you this much

Keep the Sabbath Day Holy

Make disciples of ALL nations. Spread the gospel. Matthew 28:19-20
