Hey, I‘m not done with the video yet (so maybe you talk about it) but before I lose my thought. And a small kind of disclaimer right at the beginning: I don‘t mean to give you unsolicited advice and I‘m sorry in advance if it sounds like it 🙈 I just feel really deeply for you about this situation and my brain just fell into full „solution finding mode“ because I thought about what I might do if this happened to me. I don‘t know if it‘s possible for you in any way, but I thought maybe it would be worth a shot to get some legal advice and see if you can somehow get reimbursed for the damaged products (and even if you end up successfully cleaning and reusing some of it, you still had to invest all the time to deal with the cleaning (which lost you workforce and hence money) and are probably selling it at a discounted price, if you can even sell it at all). And the more I think about it, the amount of smoke and grease your body had to put up with is surely also a health issue and they should pay a fine or sth for endangering you (hopę you got checked out by a doctor!). When I reread my comment, it seems like a lenghthy and probably not easy process to go through. But if you have some kind of business insurance, you could definitely check in with them. Okay, now I‘m back to watching the rest of the video 😅

😔 I’m sorry about this con, I completely understand unfortunately tho as this was my 3rd year doing it and it was another stressful, income loss con, the travel there is nothing more then hectic, the trains are barely running and of course no lifts are available, we had to travel hours with 4 large suitcases up and down the stairs multiple times, and when we finally got to the con they messed up our table it was sorted after showing documents but it was frustrating as this situation happened to us last year as well, the grease and smoke was all over my products, it was also pretty empty from time to time so another financial loss, we were also constantly feeling unwell or lightheaded. Hyper Japan used to be good but never experienced it as a vendor now it’s mostly just go for fun and don’t expect much 😔
