Just a suggestion for safety. Maybe remove and store deck furniture out of the wind. High winds could smash them into windows. Stay safe. Those backups for the solar are awesome

James, Paeng was my first Typhoon experienced since coming back to PI. Quite the welcome back....of course the Pinoy spirit is amazingly resilient. They worked right through all the rain and wind on my garage build (which I am youtubing). You are my inspiration. @LoLoKaNoEd
glad to see you are safe from the typhoon. we have family living in antique, and they are also safe. had lots of damage, lost lots of animals, but their homes survived the blunt of the typhoon without much damage. got videos of the coastline by antique, so much debri and loss of beach surface. and this happens every year. ok, with your pool, does it overflow due to the rain, or do you have a level monitor system installed. how long does your solar batteries work, and also the back up to the back up. in other words, how long can you survive with power with no power coming to you from the city or the sun.
We're recovering this morning. Sun is out and the solar is still running the house since our utility company is still offline. The pool has an overflow pipe that discharges into the cistern. When the cistern is full it dumps into the storm sewer system here. No issues. When fully charges, the solar battery bank has more than enough power to keep the house online until the sun powers the PV's in the morning. Unfortunately with the storm, there wasn't enough sun to get to a full charge of the solar batteries but our EcoFlow secondary backup kept us online most of the night. We went about 2 hours without electricity when the EcoFlow batteries depleted. We're back on solar with all batteries charging right now. We can survive indefinitely with the system we have now even if the public utility company never came back online as long as we have a decent amount of sun during the daytime to charge the batteries.
Thanks for the update.. you all stay safe.. hello from south Louisiana and I know a thing a two about storms.. you have a very impressive electrical system setup..👍👍👌🤗😎
It has been raining all day and night and we have some new leaks in our ceiling/roof. ower has stayed on, but we have been without internet until now. The Bash is still on for Tuesday. See you then. Geezz, it is really raining hard here.
We're still down on BATALEC II but the EcoFlow is still providing backup power at 5:30pm. It indicates at the current consumption rate we'll continue to operate for 11-15 hours.
Our place is in central Luzon (City of San Fernando, Pampanga) and so far it's been pretty mild. The construction workers continued their jobs setting the foundation for a new tower, and power never went off in our condo. You've got a nice setup there, and well planned for typhoons.
After looking closer at the tracking of the typhoon, it appears we're almost centered of this storm. This is why we're taking the brunt of the system. We're still without electricity from the utility company at 5:30pm here but the EcoFlow and it's companion battery are showing we still have 11-15 hours of reserve backup which will bring us to about the time the sun comes up in the morning and the solar should take over should the utility company still be offline.
Rained to much during the rainy season and now it summer and more extreme rain! Many people knew this was coming! If your not awake to what’s been going on for years, it’s time you pay attention!
How I wish everyone could afford this kind of equipment there in PH. Meanwhile, the rest of the population has learned to cope with regular brown outs and loss of water.
Before we had the solar and battery solution we also learned to cope with the regular brownouts and loss of water. You need to figure what strategy works best for you. Candles, spare water bottles, tub filled with water and a tabo lead our plan.
True but when its a signal 3 and has done so much damage with casualties its nothing to discount. I probably should have clarified the technical terminology. Thanks.
The EcoFlow Delta Pro, which is what we have, now sells for P210k on Lazada. We got ours for P188k when it was first introduced here in the Philippines on Lazada.
Hang in there man. Rainfall damage throughout Visayas. A number of bridges washed out in Antique and Kalibo. Prayers to those along rivers and low lying areas and landslide prone profiles. Regards from Capiz. Love your electrical redundancy...I now have Electric Power Envy!
Stay safe James and Ness! I love Ness' background playing!

My family over in Capiz have weathered the storm. Severe flooding and of course no electricity.
Sure wish I had your electrical/backup system. We were without power for 5 hours this morning in Santa Rosa. Be safe James and all.

@@MyPIDream Good to hear Hopefully your line service returns soon. We have Meralco here, overall generally good response.

@@MyPIDream yes so far we haven't even had the lights flicker. You're very fortunate to have such a great backup power setup.
Currently can hear the gusty winds outside right now in Manila.

Thanks! What was that weather app that you showed in the beginning?
Yes, that's our Ambient Weather weather station report from our yard.
I thought you had a generator to support your home ? Is that still part of your blackout plan?
We gave up the gen set for the EcoFlow Delta Pro battery backup system. Actually the gen set blew up.
@@MyPIDream Nice setup.. congrads on your choice.
