      Hey there, on some TVs, you can select the audio source, so you can switch between the 3.5 mm audio jack or the TV speaker. If your TV lacks the ability to do this, then you may have to unplug the 3.5mm audio cable from the TV audio port, which can be a pain if it's in a hard to reach area in the back. If you want to test this out without buying a Bluetooth transmitter, you can plug in any pair of wired headphones into your TV's audio port and see if you have the option to choose for the TV to output sound to through the TV speakers. Another option could be to buy both a Bluetooth transmitter and a decent TV soundbar speaker. This way you can actually use a 3.5 mm splitter and plug in both the TV soundbar and the Bluetooth transmitter, then you can simply turn off the TV sound bar when you don't want to use it, since it will be placed in front of your TV in a more accessible area. I hope that makes sense, but let me know if it isn't clear :)

      There are some Bluetooth Transmitters that will allow dual audio streaming. You'd have to look for a Bluetooth Transmitter that has "dual-link" or "dual audio". The Bluetooth Transmitter Option 1 I have linked in the video description and pinned comments allows for this, the 1Mii B03+ Bluetooth model.

    1) My TV does not have an auxilliary output jack. So can I plug it into the headphone jack? It does have a socket called PC Audio. and
    2) My TV also has two USB-A sockets. So can I keep a cord connected from one of those to the transmitter, so that it remains charged and I don't have to manually charge it evey time?

      Hi there, yes, it should work through the headphone jack since that is audio out also. About the USB-A sockets, it should work to power it, but sometimes the sockets do not provide enough power, so you would have to test it out to know for sure.

      @DemCrumblies  7 місяців тому

      Hey @Deadshotsniper23, do you have a link to the NFC Bluetooth 5.0 transmitter that you own? If your speakers are bluetooth, you should just have to pair them with the bluetooth transmitter and connect the bluetooth transmitter to your TV's AUX port / headphone jack if it has one. Does your TV have a headphone jack or AUX port?

    After you connect the headphone cable to the audio out port, is the sound then coming through both the bluetooth transmitter and the tv speakers?

    • @DemCrumblies
      @DemCrumblies  8 місяців тому

      On most TVs, once you insert the cable into the audio out port, the TV will cut output to the built-in TV speakers and only output to the audio port. One way around this is to buy a 3.5 mm audio splitter adapter, then also connect to a TV soundbar so you don't always have to insert and remove the audio jack when you want to use TV sound or headphone sound since you can adjust the soundbar volume independently.

    I have older mode Samsung SmartTV with Soundbar. Do I have to turn the volume off on the Soundbar in order to listen via the Bluetooth transmitter? Or, do I have to physically disconnect the BT transmitter? Also, where does the BT transmitter get it's power from?

    • @DemCrumblies
      @DemCrumblies  Рік тому

      If the soundbar connects to the TV by a 3.5 mm audio jack, you would have to disconnect it and plug in the Bluetooth transmitter into the 3.5 mm audio jack on the TV. The Bluetooth transmitter should come with a USB cable that needs to be plugged into a wall to keep it continually powered. If your soundbar has volume control directly on the soundbar, you may be able to buy a 3.5 mm audio splitter accessory so that you can have dual audio connected to the TV's singular 3.5 mm audio port, then you can lower the volume on the soundbar only. If you lower it on the TV, it may not play at all on the Bluetooth transmitter. Btw, which TV model do you have? Some TVs have Bluetooth functionality built into them, negating the need for a Bluetooth transmitter.

    • @DemCrumblies
      @DemCrumblies  3 місяці тому +2

      Yep, this will work with a TV that doesn't have Bluetooth since the Bluetooth transmitter will take over that job, but your TV will need a 3.5 mm audio port so the Bluetooth Transmitter can connect to. Try to find a Bluetooth transmitter with at least Bluetooth 5.0 and which has aptX Low Latency. Your Bluetooth headphones or earbuds should also be on at least Bluetooth 5.0. I've linked some in my video description, such as the Avantree model. I've never connected to a surround sound system, but if you can connect your TV directly to your surround sound system, you might be able to connect to your surround sound system via Bluetooth if it supports it.

For example I have 2 pairs of airpods within the range, one belong to me one belong to someone else and both airpods are turned on waiting to be paired. How can I make sure the transmitter is connected correctly to my airpods but not the other person's airpods? Thank you

    • @DemCrumblies

      Hey there, when you first set up the Bluetooth Transmitter, you can set it to only pair with your earbuds so that it won't ever connect to the other pair. If you get a Bluetooth Transmitter that lets you pair multiple devices, if the person already has their earbuds connected to their phone, laptop, tablet, etc., the Bluetooth Transmitter should not be able to hijack that connection away.

      How is the iPad connected to the TV? Most likely, the iPad's audio and video is output to the TV, and from there, the TV outputs it via the TV's built in speakers. In theory, if you connect the Bluetooth Transmitter to the audio jack on the TV, it should output the sound to the BT transmitter, so you can connect your headphones to hear audio.

      If you use the air pod and both work when connected to a phone, I would try to unpair/forget the airpods on the Bluetooth TV transmitter and then reconnect them back to see if that helps, perhaps only one bud connected? It doesn't make sense that only one would play until there is some kind of mono setting turned on the Bluetooth TV transmitter or on the TV audio menu itself. Maybe you can check for any mono settings and change it to stereo.

      Hey @ktcee803, most likely if you buy the Bluetooth transmitter, the same issue may occur where the TV output only goes to the Bluetooth transmitter, then you have to unplug the audio cable from the TV. One way around this would be to buy a 3.5 mm audio splitter, that way you can connect both the Bluetooth transmitter and an external speaker to the TV. Then you can turn the volume off on the external speaker when you only want to use the headphones, or you can turn off the headphones and just use the volume on the external speaker when you want to watch TV normally. Let me know if that makes sense. If it doesn't, I can share a link to the audio splitter I'm mentioning.

      @@DemCrumbliesThank you so much. I'm not tech savvy and I'm trying to set this up for my Mum. What you say makes sense. I think the splitter idea could work. If I place the speaker next to where she is sitting, she could turn off the speaker when using the headphones. That would work?
      Or if she has Bluetooth speakers, could she switch between the speakers and the headphones without having to get out of her chair or bed?

    • @DemCrumblies
      @DemCrumblies  8 місяців тому

      @@ktcee803 Yep, if you place the speaker next to her, she can adjust the volume up or turn the speaker on when she doesn't want to use the headphones, however, that may require having to buy a longer cable to connect the speaker to the splitter if she sits far away from the TV. I believe some soundbars for TVs come with a small remote, that may be a better route to go, so she can use a remote instead. If she has a Bluetooth speaker, it may work, but some Bluetooth transmitters may only allow pairing of one Bluetooth device, so it may be easier to use a TV soundbar that has a remote to adjust the volume, or to turn it off or on I think.

THIS set up you demonstrate would result in an out of sync picture to sound. Can’t fix it either as you would need to delay the picture.

    • @DemCrumblies

      In my experience There Should not be be but there is. Is there latency or out of sync with the exact set up you have shown in this ? Do the lips match the words or is it still a bit out. The low latency set up I bought I sent back as it was still too far out of whack. This is ok for music or using the tv like a radio but it is not good for cinema or watching drama.

      I've since upgraded my TV so I don't have the same setup, but if your Bluetooth headphones and the Bluetooth transmitter are running at least Bluetooth version 5.0, that will deliver 40 ms of latency. Hey darlin1951, which bluetooth transmitter did you buy? Can you plug in a pair of headphones into the TCL TV's audio port to confirm that audio is working from that port? Once you confirm that, then you know that if the bluetooth transmitter is also plugged into the same audio port, then there may be another issue such as pairing or the unit is defective.

    I want to listen to the TV through the headphones, not my phone. How do I do that?

      If you own Bluetooth headphones, you can follow the steps in the this video to pair a Bluetooth transmitter with your Bluetooth headphones once you connect the Bluetooth transmitter to your TV's aux/3.5mm audio port. If you have a newer TV, it may even let you connect your Bluetooth headphones directly to the TV without the need to use a Bluetooth transmitter.

    I’ve done this and it says it is connected but no sound comes from my headphones and still plays from the tv?

      Hi Libby, please confirm if you have any other audio ports/3.5 mm aux ports that the Bluetooth transmitter cable can be plugged into. Usually once you plug in the audio cable to the correct audio port on the TV, the sound should not come from the TV speakers any more. Some TVs have more than one audio port.

    I don't have 3.5 mm jack in my tv and I belive most of tv does not have. this video is basically useless for 80% of people out there. :( I have HDMI Jack. can I use that in any way?

      That's strange, which TV model do you have? I have both an LG C1 released in 2021 and a Toshiba TV, which both have audio jacks. My parents have both a Samsung TV and Sony TV with audio jacks also. An HDMI jack won't work for the Bluetooth transmitter.

      @@DemCrumbliesnot strange. I have a 72 inch lg tv with no 3.5 Jack port for the Bluetooth device

      @@strangetruth360 What is your TV model? If it omits the 3.5 mm jack, then it likely has Bluetooth functionality built in to work with their soundbars, so this video wouldn't really apply, since any Bluetooth speaker, earbud or headphone can connect directly to the TV without the need for a Bluetooth transmitter.
