This song gave me chills when I first heard it. Having Matt reveal the truth to you in the most James Bond villain type of way and this song playing, it makes you feel mad that he's doing this to you and Maya.
God, I loved the ending to the de Killer case. Engarde was screwed either way. Either he's found guilty and goes to jail, or is found innocent and has the world's most notorious assassin after him the rest of his (probably short) life.
Matt Engarde was the most badass villain in the games. To think of, he did such a amazing job. He "blackmailed" a famous assassin, and got to Phoenix defend him of his case, because if don't, Phoenix would suffer consequences. He, Gant and Atmey were the most badasses characters.
@@cooldratini It wasn't just a simple risk. If I remember correctly, Ted Tonate was telling the truth when he said he heard the bomb's timer and told everyone to evacuate. Even if that wasn't true, and he simply announced it as a lie when his own victim was called to the stand, he still got everyone out. Murderer or not, the man saved the lives of everyone in that courtroom, while the Phantom fully intended to kill them all.
Justice for All: Plays this theme when you discover the real murderer in the final case. Trials and Tribulations: Plays this when something mildly goes wrong.
I'll get you for this ! This music is so amazing ! For me, Justice for All has the best soundtrack in the serie : This music, Another Victory, Questionned (Cornered 2002), With Pearly, Great Revival (Franziska and Edgeworth), Hotline of Fate and more... Justice for All is so underrated, It's makes me feel sad =
It's weird how Engarde was always my favorite character even when he flipped the hair to show his other personality. I always like the good looking psychotic characters. 😅😅😅😅
The whole last case of this is one giant clusterfuck, but seriously, it's definitely worth it. This is probably one of the best cases in the entire series, and while I'm usually not someone getting emotionally involved in a game, this really had me sitting at the edge.
last month, someone was breaking into my house, it was midnight and pitch-black in my house, and I was all alone. This song started playing in my mind. O_o
He didn't, but he had the chance in his very hands to blackmail him if he wanted. 'Course he didn't blackmailed because the game still had to continue, but he could've if Phoenix did get him a Not Guilty sentence. I mean, look at what would've happened if he was Not Guilty at all. Matt Engarde would have an enormous power right in his hands. :P Oh, and remember that De Killer cannot see the contents of the tape because Matt ordered him to don't see, and De Killer had faith in his words.
This is a beautiful sound track, It honest fit's Phenoixes situation, He either complys with Matt in helping him be proved innocent and get his manager the guilty verdict who was is infact innocent, and on top of it, She wants to die, Yet if she in jail she'll be living a nightmare worst than death, and If matt is proven Guilty, Maya will be killed.
@MastersOfDarknessLS I've also seen it called "Search - Middle 2004", and "middle" could be another word for "core". Also, the song (and it's intro) sound like a Search Core theme. It's confusing. :x
@VigiIancex First of all, no it wasn't. Second, I wasn't saying that it wasn't used; I was saying that it doesn't fit the situations where they used Core 2002 instead. Core 2002 was used like a second suspense theme in this game.
But they did know that was a murder video? The judge was tired to see Phoenix and Edgeworth prolonging the court, so he only will have accepted one piece of evidence. Of course that after it, the possibility of the police viewing the video was great, but nevertheless Matt can't be judged on that again because of the Double Jeopardy (well, I think it would be this, but I'm not sure.)
I admit this photograph proves something. It proves that the snowmobile was *used on the night of the murder.* However... If what the witness says is true, why is there only *one set of tracks?*
Do you know how much power it takes to generate a perfect crystal brandy glass filled with high-quality brandy? And I did it just so that I could swirl it in front of you! HA!
I think the biggest mystery in this case was where he pulled that glass from.
True
He's in jail. There really is only one place
@@anenemystand5582 out of his ass
Bribed the guards, probably
If there's a hole there's a goal
I think it's time for you to meet him now, Mister Lawyer dude.
*hair flip*
How do you do, Mr. Lawyer? I'm Matt Engarde.
Well done, Mr. Wright. I bet it wasn't easy to gather as much information as you have.
I feel like the line would sound even more badass if you read it like "*I'm* Matt Engarde."Emphasizing that this is the *real* Matt.
this case probably took 5 years off my lifespan with how stressful it was
That do tends to be how it goes with being a lawyer in real life.
It definitely haunted me for a few years until I replayed it again yesterday.
it was a fun case though.

You still alive bro?
I WILL NOW PRODUCE A GLASS OF BRANDY TO INDICATE THAT I AM EVIL
BUT I THOUGHT IT WAS CHOCCY MALK! IS MY LIFE A LIE?!?!?!?
In the Trilogy Remaster it looks like orange juice
Looks like Baileys Irish Cream
I thought it was hot chocolate
This comment is incredibly hilarious
I'd bet money that the scar came from Shoe. He got scratched by his own cat and he never was the same again.
meow
Breakdown implies that it was self-inflicted
"How do you do...Mr. Laywer. I'm Matt Engarde."
Me: What the fuck just happened?
The moment that elevated “Farewell my Turnabout” into my favorite case
At that point when Matt revealed his secret, even Franziska looked like an angel compared to him.
@Gen. JFH hahah you just didnt see her crying, saying that she will beat Edgeworth at all costs.
@Gen. JFH Well for one, she actually helped Phoenix with case 5 (in Trials and Tribulations), a lot actually.
@@КотВасилий-м7н Oh you'll see this in T&T and AAI:ME

He never was found innocent. If you plead not guilty he pleads guilty himself.
+rusmas rudsteru But... if you present any evidence BEFORE you present the Tape, and you get a not guilty verdict, Maya will never be seen again. 0_0
Death penalty. He DIES either way
Tbh, de killer wouldve probably organised an assassination within the prison. If anything prison makes engarde a sitting duck
Reminder that if Matt trusted De Killer, Maya or Adrian would’ve died. His own selfishness was his downfall

crowleyy the phantom is even worse. He risked the life of hundreds of innocent people (the courtroom bombing) just to get some evidence away

Engarde and Gant, sure. But Atmey? Luke Atmey? That dude was a clown that came a few cases too late.
That prolonged discordant note at the beginning gets me every time.
Thats the power of the tritone

This is one of my favorite track of the whole series. Not only the music itself is great, but the moment it plays for the first time is also terrific
Justice for All: Plays this theme when you discover the real murderer in the final case.
Trials and Tribulations: Plays this when something mildly goes wrong.
When you flip the hair and show the scar on the eye.
0_0, the wild side of Matt.
Relapsed_ The *true* side.

When Matt revealed his secret and this started playing I felt like he was about to murder me, this is menacing and intimidating af
Gosh, those tritones at the beginning are great for a grand reveal.
The first note of this theme fit the atmosphere of Matt's reveal so well
Best. Reveal. Ever.
You know everything turned upside down when...
Those piano notes are on point
My favourite core theme. This and the suspense themes are too good.
It's weird how Engarde was always my favorite character even when he flipped the hair to show his other personality. I always like the good looking psychotic characters. 😅😅😅😅
Is anyone still not about to loose contact with reality bc Matt Engarde keeps a glass of brandy in his pocket just WHENEVER
Phoenix: ...Where did you get that glass?
Engarde: I'm rich, I don't have to explain shit to you
i really like that this on T&T aswell
I was replaying the final case yesterday and I reheard this track. It sounds like something from Hotel Dusk, rather than Ace Attorney.
So Glad I showed him at the end. I liked this story, it has a way of making you love and hate characters like it's a rollacoster.
i played through this case 3 times just to watch the magical moment of the "transformation"
_Las Apariencias Engañan, Señor Abogado_
Consume the wine chalice
He reminded me so much of Aizen at that reveal
This deserves a shaking of glass :D
After Matt Engarde shows his scars, i can’t stop associating this theme with some person that I hate

This piece gives me chills
This has always been a favorite theme of mine.
they used this theme way too much in the 3th game.
It was super insense in the second game if you ask me.
Everyone gangsta till the whiskey comes out of nowhere.
He didn't, but he had the chance in his very hands to blackmail him if he wanted. Every time this plays between Justice For All and Trials and Tribulations was some form of stressful lol
The soundtrack to PURE EVIL...
I always thought of this as Engarde's theme when he did something evil :/
The trial that this song plays durring is my favorite trial in any Phoenix Wright game. ^_^
This was the PERFECT music to play after the Matt Engarde reveal. It just screams “OH SHIT WHAT NOW”
no matter how much times i hear this song, it always reminds me matt engarde, uncovering his face
I honestly wish this played more often in JFA ;_; I lovez it.
My guess is that he kept an empty glass in his pants and everytime he reveals his scar... well, you get the picture XP
Or it was hidden under his hair
Why is this cursed
*Shakes glass of brandy*
My useful pocket always works >:)
The reveal was crazy
@MastersOfDarknessLS I've also seen it called "Search - Middle 2004", and "middle" could be another word for "core". Also, the song (and it's intro) sound like a Search Core theme. It's confusing. :x
Disappointed when this theme only played in 1 episode.
Don't worry, there is more of it in the later games, such as T&T
@VigiIancex First of all, no it wasn't.

God fucking damnit.
My first thought to this song
"......Shit just got real Matt!!"
dat moment when Matt Engarde shows his true colors, and you go: "you son of a bitch..."
I want it to be renamed: Franziska von Karma's theme. Dunno why
I admit this photograph proves something. It proves that the snowmobile was *used on the night of the murder.*
However... If what the witness says is true, why is there only *one set of tracks?*
@MarioGalaxy243g5
I think everybody was legitimately surprised when they played this case.
@NDogg15 It was used, on the first case, Turnabout Memories
Shoe's say meow and Missile's bork in Ace Attorney!
He left his pet cat alone with an assassin! That evil bastard :O! Also, why are you in every video I see?
I think of it as when matt Shows his true personality rather than a search core theme
I'm never gonna trust gigantic stuffed bears again...
This song is also use for Trial and tribulations
Matt & Kristoph are tied for best villain
Alert: Matt Engarde had gone Sicko Mode
i didn't know what was coming to me, who was playing the last chapter in a public waiting room located in a gas station
A nice glass of chocolate brandy. :)
If that theme Plays in Court, I use this song for the Victims and their autopsy Report
Do you know how much power it takes to generate a perfect crystal brandy glass filled with high-quality brandy? And I did it just so that I could swirl it in front of you! HA!
How do you do, Mr. Lawyer?
*I'm Matt Engarde.*
@hotdiddykong2 Well, at least that made me look up Juan's name pun. Corrida has to do with bullfighting, while Engarde......you can do the rest.
How do you do, mister?
Doesn't this music kinda of reminds you of a certain Crono Trigger music? I'm pretty sure it does, but I can't remember what it is....
it's always the 4th or 5th case that's the most dramatic
I just thought of something
Matt=Zangoose
Juan=seviper
@NDogg15 Really?! Then i had a false recollection. Oh so that was what you meant, sorry dude. >
@hotdiddykong2 CAN'T BE UNSEEN!
Phoenix Wright taught me what a computer virus is. Seriously.
Am I the only one who wanted Engarde to be innocent?
Anyone?
+Devon Fehr if he woulda got innocent he was gonna be hunted by shelly
+arielrolerbill but Adrian would be found guilty... :///
oh shit
+IDK I did too. Even after what Matt did, I still think of him as a cool guy
Ami Mizuno even being a crook, traitor, selfish and exploit and humiliate an innocent woman? lol
Weird.
I heard this theme in T&T more then in JFA.
W.
This music was good in the 2nd game the 3rd kinda ruined it
@l33tVirus Core 2004 would not have fit in at any of the time T&T used this.
The 2004 one doesn't fit the situations this was used in.
... The reason for that being that this was used as a second suspense theme...
@MegaKirkHammet
nah hypno doesnt seem right but possible
Ah yes. D diminished.
Sonata...
Am not racist.....BUT
the first spyro the dragon game anyone?
GIGA PODCAST
this song gives me nightmares
I like games :/
What? You think this is some throw away account I'm gonna use just to piss people off and ditch this ASAP?
No...
@MarioGalaxy243g5 DUDE. Me neither.
