Beautiful blown glass bowl, vases, and birds. I wish I could have seen the sterling silver item better. That should bring a pretty penny, as well as the Tramp Art seashell vase and the Victorian figurines. The cut glass pitchers look to be in great condition. I would have to say this is one of your most valuable cleanouts yet, if these few boxes are any indication. So happy for you.

Awesome finds in the "Lady Painter´s Mansion", part two. I think it´s a perfect assortment for sale on one the better flea markets or even on an antique market. I like especially the lead soldier and the paperweights, highly collectible. Your click on the vase to hear the sound is an old resellers trick to check if some piece of glass or ceramics is damaged or not. The tin photograph (1860´s ?) was one highlight of these finds, that´s for sure. Can´t wait to see episode No. 3 of this successful odyssee ! 👍
Just a hint, Renée: like many other channels, you got some ads for crypto investments disguised as "viewers comments". So, it´s up to you how to treat them...😉 Have a fantastic rest of this sunny Thursday (quite warm over here with around 75 degrees F). Greets from GER, U.

Thanks for the heads-up! A few went into my "For Review" section, so they were deleted and blocked. I'll have to do a check for others. At one of the auction houses I would attend, an auctioneer would do that little click on the glass on every single piece. He had a few other classic lines that he would say at each auction. "Who hasn't bought something yet? Raise your hand." Always gave the audience a little chuckle when people actually did raise their hand! The photo was my favorite as well & so randomly found in that box. I just realized it wasn't even wrapped up, like every other thing in this home was :0) Good thing I like to rummage around in boxes or else it might not have been found! We are in the 60s here but summer returns next week when we go back up to the 80s. Personally I'm done with summer and ready for the fall weather. I like the feeling of the crisp air in the morning when I'm out & about at the flea market!

Have to add another reply, but in the form of a random question - Do you know of, or perhaps know someone, who would know what type of typewriter would have been available/used in Berlin in 1947 (1940s)? Portable and no eszett key. From my very brief online perusing, it looks like Swiss German typewriters did not have the eszett key. I'm working on the Berlin letters and thought it would be interesting to know what kind of typewriter this woman could possibly have been using.

The blue glass piece you found is not factory/mold made, so is likely worth some money. That really heavy pitcher appears to be antique EAPG cut glass or maybe American Brilliant. Hey Renee - the house keeps on giving. That stove! It's going to be fun getting it out. Looks like the chochkies (? sp - never heard that word before watching your videos) will bring a good return. The Gettysburg Address seems an odd choice for a serving tray. If it had been the guy who spoke before Lincoln, it would have been a much bigger tray - I think he spoke for 2-3 hours. A number of your finds brought out my glass anxieties. Is Murano only glass blown in Murano, or is it all blown, colored glass? How can you tell plain cut glass from leaded glass? These are things I need to research some day. Glad you found the cat mask - I bet there are more things like that. Can't wait to see more. Have a great Thursday!

    • @PaperandMoose

When you research about glass & find out the answers, let me know! Haha. Glassware is something that I am pretty clueless about. Tony knows a bit more about it than I do, so he can handle the glass or have the people at the flea market give him a lesson or two. As for the stove, Tony is having another friend help to move it & store it until it can be sold. From his research, they look to be worth anywhere between $1,000-$2,000... of course, you have to find a buyer that will pay that much! Only found the one Halloween cat. But finding one is better than finding none! Being as we found the Gettysburg Address & the framed picture of Abe, I wonder if they had collected other Lincoln items. Oh to have seen what could have possibly been in this home a few years ago. I'm sure their collection was even greater! Hope that you have a great Friday and have some fun plans for the weekend!

Awesome video - great stuff! The occupied Japan figurines are incredible. I've got no clue as to their value. But, they'd sure look great scattered around a house decorated in 1940s/50s retro. Easy to pick up if the values aren't so high - yet! I've got that same 1920s Philco radio, that was on the cabinet behind you, next to the Aunt Jemima figure. I'd never seen another one. The house sure is a treasure trove. Thanks for taking us all along to see all the great "finds"!

Thanks for JOINING me!! I see, in the backround a cookie jar like one I have in my collection...she's a Dutch Lady. I like advertising themed paperweights...from fraternal lodges, corporations and historical events...some of my favorites are from the Apollo 11 lunar landing. RUUD Water Heater Co. made cast iron water heaters which resembled that ornate stove. They did not have an inner tank, but coiled piping, holding the water, which was rapidly heated...the first instantaneous heater...hot water on demand! Nothin mew under the sun...such as that well-worn saying! I was hoping there'd be a couple of...well, you know...hiding among those tchotchkes! The Museum of American Heritage would in all likelyhood, welcome that vintage stove! I know of a slightly larger one which may end up in their collection!

You have a larger stove than that?! That stove is a beauty, for sure! Your water heater paperweight sounds wonderful - all those details made into a paperweight, what a great form of advertisement! Any plans for this weekend?

@@PaperandMooseThe stove is currently in one of the estate sale company's warehouse. It's a larger version of the piece in your location. The RUUD heater belonged to a late collector friend, he actually used it! He was a plumber by profession. If RUUD had such a weight...I'd could just imagine what it would look like. Plans for the weekend, Sat. lunch with a couple of friends, Sun. working on a couple of home projects...there is one estate sale...which is, yet again, all Ikea and Pottery Barn decor, skipping that one! The owner was into abstract sculpture...the stuff for sale looks like a great set of props for the Twilight Zone!

That duck lid (?) has to be Viking, it looks just like their ducks. But, I will say, I didn’t know that Viking had a bowl or container with a duck lid, but, I’m far from being a Viking glass expert. What interesting boxes! ✌🏼❤️

A few others have also mentioned that it could possibly be a Viking, so I've let Tony know so when he unpacks at the flea market, he can spot it!

You talk about vintage coloring pencils, what's even more crazy is people are starting to collect and sell old Wal-Mart bags. Think they were in your second box.

I think I'll start with diluted PVA glue, and let the layers dry under pressure between two glass plates, then dot-glue the layers together with superglue before priming with black angled from the bottom and then white priming angled from the top. And then my niece should be happy.. If not, she gets to make her own "canvas" next time. Well, you asked what I think. And I thought about this while playing Minecraft and watching your video. Men can multitask too you know.

Love your videos and content. Just wanted you to Be very careful when digging through stuff with mouse droppings and portions of their nesting. Wearing gloves, a mask and goggles is extra protection from hantavirus. It can be fatal.

The white item with the blue stripe at the bottom which you thought could be from a coffee pot reminds me of a candle/pillar holder. I recall having a similar looking one and I think it could be made by Dansk. I could be wrong though as I don’t remember an open bottom.
Added: I did look on EBay and found what appears to be the same item. It is listed as: Dansk Christianshan blue hurricane lamp Japan glass globe candle holder vintage. It does show the clear hurricane lamp with it but I don’t recall having that. The Dansk name should be printed on the inside bottom.
