A+ on both guys. Rome is a class act, Caleb - only concern I have atm is the fumbles. If the Bears avoid any long-term injuries to their key players, I definitely see them at minimum a wild-card team.

Definitely my no brainer pick after I saw an interview with him where he talked about how he would love to come to the bears and learn under dj and Allen and do what needs to be done for the team. Great character. Not a hot head. Perfect for where this team is at. Will grow with Calab. Couldn't be more happy.

@@jesusortiz8666 Did you miss the part that said SINCE ‘83? Butkus & Sayers were drafted in ‘65, 18 years BEFORE ‘83. Covert & Dent were drafted in ‘83, which is why I said SINCE then.
A+ for both of them A+ overall these are the two guys I wanted and we got them. I am freaking so happy I’m on cloud nine now we’re next to pics those are just back up guys so basically the draft is over can’t wait for training camp.
We could still possibly land a starting center or Edge in round 3, so Poles has an opportunity to even land more impact players.
@@Itsmewaltza starting edge in Rd 3 would take some luck, but it’s happened before. I would think they’d go best player available vs focusing on a need. Center might be that position?

Me also it’s insane that a defensive player didn’t come off the board until the 16th pick. Verse is gonna be a pro bowler dude is the best DE coming out of this draft for a 4-3 defense. Poles better find another end because our defense is still a couple players short to make a championship run

As a uk based bears fan i always guage my excitement off how die hard bears fans react to the draft, results, season prospects etc. So to hear the general excitement about the draft & new signings i'm really looking forward to this season. I don't feel qualified to grade these signings but in terms of my own excitement i'd say i'm a definete a+. Thanks for the vid BN.

Odunze at 9 was the dream. Always thought something crazy would happen and we get screwed. But something crazy did happen at 8 with ATL and we benefited. Never thought ATL would take Rome but definitely never saw Penix coming. Was worried somebody would jump the Bears for Rome. This offense has no excuses it has to be a top 10 offense this year. Hopefully we use 75 on either oline or dline

A+ for Caleb but I give an A++ for Rome, just because it took a little luck for him to be there. I didn't see the Penix and Latham picks happening. I sat and as zi watched I fully expected Atlants to take Rome. At minimum I never expected they would take a QB right after signing Kirk.

I along with many others here have been preaching for Caleb and Rome, but to finally see it happen! Let’s go let’s go BEAR DOWN!!!
Poles has been on fire but I still think he’ll regret not firing Flus. Everyone has talking about how great the bears are setup for Caleb. No one was referring to the head coach. I love the goals Caleb has but he needs a true partner in the head coach to achieve those goals of chasing 12. I hope I’m wrong about Flus. We should hope for the best but… be prepared for the worst. That means how can this new talented team transition to a new head coach without falling into old narratives. Poles should get started on this asap.

I'm telling you, Williams is a cornball. I can see why some people questioned his leadership and maturity. Hopefully he balls out, but I didn't realize how small he was until they lined up on the stage pre-draft.

A++. There's no reason the Bears can't contend this year. We could, and should, have 3 thousand yard receivers this year... provided the coaching staff uses this offense properly. We need to be a pass first offense. We've got the horses. Let's ride 'em. And I don't think there's a rule that says you can't set up the run with the pass.
This has been the most non-bears draft ever. I was convinced they were going to draft Verse at 9 because of the Eberflus influence. Poles has control now and he’s decided the Bears need to move into the 21st century

A- Only because I was hoping for an offensive or even a defensive line pick at 9. I'm happy with Odunze and think he'll be a stud, but I don't want to see Williams running for his life like Fields was.
Fields “ran for his life” when he didnt need to. Guy would scramble with a clean pocket because his first read wasnt open… yet. He cant anticipate throws or actually go through progressions. The line is middle of the pack. Healthy Tevin (which will probably be never), Wright are beasts. Center was a huuuuge problem last year. All the way down to snapping the ball but overall, they arent horrible. Captain one read made them worse than they actually are.

I give it a B. We can't expect development of rookie talent without a good center and left tackle, and we have neither. If those issues are addressed, the grade goes up, but the "O-line guy" Poles left Fields out there for 2 years without even a decent center ffs. That's supposed to be the captain of your line, shouldn't be hard to get a pro center, but It's been comically bad. on any given play, Jenkins was blocking for Braxton or whatever garbage center was out there, and Jenkins is an injury risk. Forget about depth lol, we don't have starters! It has to stop. Say we kept Fields and ended up with Alt and Odunze, PLUS another pick or more, or worked our picks into Alt and Harrison. Could have happened, Poles decided Fields wasn't it, he just better be right. A "B" is good. The talent is good. the foundation is still shaky.
Delusional. Braxton Jones is an average LT, and is way waaaay better than what Caleb had in college. Coleman Shelton is a slightly above average center that played all of last season in front of Stafford. OL is still young and ascending, not to mention that most RTs have a better year after the rookie season (wright). Instant A+ grade, we even got other teams jealous over the picks
Seriously, come on man. It's true, people will always find something to complain about no matter what. Look, Fields is gone. Yes the Bears have holes, but so does every team. Kansas City has alot of needs as did Brady when he won. The stars of your team are the ones that carry a team. If Caleb doesn't pan out, then feel free to fire Poles. But, its hard to complain on what Poles has done. Odunze has so much talent, its worth drafting him as opposed to a "need". The line is good enough to win. Next year we can address the line more. I agree the foundation is important. But Calab has shown that he can succeed regardless of how the pocket is doing. He can hold his own. So therefore draft best available. This wr room was stacked you gotta grab a WR and next year we can strengthen the line and get another Edge. We got a 1st and 2 2nds. So much we could add with that to help build up more
L take on the left tackle but I do agree with center. the dream would be JPJ being available in round 3 at the bears pick because the nfl doesnt value center much at all for whatever reason. If thats the only knock then theres nothing to worry about
