I adopted my Himalayan, Galileo, several months back and I can tell you he is the chillest cat I have ever seen in my life. He doesn't care about anything. He also coos like a pigeon when he purrs. It's hands down one of the funniest things I've ever seen in my life!
I love Himalayans I had 2 of them. Broke my heart when they died. I'm trying to find another one. Took a long time for me to get to the point I'm able to love another one
I have a Himalayan named Valentine ❤️ for 6 years now & he’s the most sweetest playful & beautiful cat. He’s like a puppy follows me around everywhere & if I’m chillin he’s right next to me chillin too & he lets me know if someone is at my door. I truly adore him & wish he can live to be 100 💕❤️💕 he’s stares & judges too hahaha
Hey..can yh pls tell me more about Himalayan cats..I have plan on buying Himalayan cats..and my czn told me it's good..!!plz help me..why about their food??and how about caring..?is it expensive ??
sera ann regular vet visits (twice a year if you can) to monitor their health. if you do everything else you’re supposed to do (grooming, exercise, diet) then your baby will live a long time. i lost my himi at 16 years to hypothyroidism because the vet kept misdiagnosing him, other than that he was relatively healthy
My sister had a Himalayan named Daisy. She was the sweetest cat I ever met. I used to love spending the night at my sister's house and sleep next to me. She died 8 years ago. I miss that cat
I had a rescue Himalayan Persian named Fifi, who we nicknamed Schnoo (Pronounced: Sh - new). She was undoubtedly the sweetest cat my family had ever owned! So loving, such a big personality... But she passed away last year at the age of 9 due to polycystic kidney disease, a HUGE killer in this breed. I recommend to ANYONE contemplating buying this breed to find a REALLY good breeder, as this disease is painful and absolutely broke my heart.
My cat, Roxy is a Himalayan. we've had her now for 6 years and she's the most beautiful thing ever. She doesn't like new people, but warms up very fast. She likes to sit on mine and my parents' lap and she responds to words like "Dinner", "Where's the Birdie" and general cooing. She absolutely loves ham and whenever we pull out a plastic bag, she comes running and jumps up and onto the counter. Every night she patiently waits to be fed. We give her canned Tuna because normal (wet) cat food makes her get diarrhoea.
When Mamma brought home our beautiful Keekee from the oxygen tanks behind the emergency room, she had to wake me up at 5 am so I could help her snip packed in poo on her behind. Either she was dumped and the poopening happened, or she was dumped *because* of it. No idea why someone would dump a Wegie!
I had a blue point Himalayan named Buddy. He was the sweetest thing in the world. A little doofy, but I loved him for it. I wish he was with me when he passed due to sickness. I miss him very much.
My mom got a himilayian for our family. He's sweey. He loves relaxing and is quite playful. I was his first mommy so he would follow me around most and he let's me rub his belly. He even kneeds and purrs alot for me. He also lives knocking stuff off my shelves...and beg for food at 2am.
My himalayan passed recently and it was one of the hardest things ive ever gone through. He was the best cat in the whole world, all he wanted was to be carried around and hugged all day
cannnoootttt wait to breed these in the near future!! I’ve always bred beautiful purebred longhaired balinese kittens, longhaired siamese cats basically. just got two show quality purebred persians, a male and female.. so now not only can i breed purebred persian as well but also can start a line of himalayan kittens as well and i’m so unbelievably excited!!!
They are also gifted with the intelligence of the Siamese, Our Himalayan , Baloo, was so incredible, very vocal too, like having another person in the family, he would of joined me at the Bar if I'd let him. Rip Baloo
i have a seal point himalayan. they really are the best pet. they can be active or lazy, depending on you they're very, very sweet and their fur is RIDICULOUSLY soft, so be prepared to be addicted to petting them
I had a seal himalayan , I found her in the street when she was a little kitten , she stayed with us like three months...and then my mother gift to somebody else and I miss her so much )=
I have a Himalayan and she is the most gorgeous and the sweetest cat ever! she is very easy going, I give her baths, blow dry her hair and she doesn't mind...I love that cat!
I have one, she don't like to be brushed but does like petted . I have to clean her eyes every couple of days . She likes to play and hang out in the open, likes attention, and rarely hides. She's a really good pet .
I'm here because I've just came home from vacation and my cat's still at the daycare. I miss her so much, can't wait until tomrrow morning to pick her up.
Have a 1/2 Himalayan 1/2 Siamese. Doesn't have that ugly smushed face. Not fluffy but so much fur. I'm constantly covered in it, even away from home. Beautiful blue eyes & is so loud. Used 2 call her little meow. Now call her big meow. Also she's a hermaphrocat. Live next 2 an empty lot & had field mice. An exGF gave her 2 me & don't have that problem anymore. Great cat.
My grandma has a Himalayan named Precious. She's 10 years old and she's probably me and my brother's companion. She let me pick her up when I was younger and never hissed or hurt me. She's usually the first cat to greet me when I visit. Whenever I help brush her I just sit her in front of a mirror and just call her pretty, beautiful, princess, etc. She just purrs and drools. I love her so much and will always treasure her.
Had a absolutely gorgeous Himalayan that was the daughter of sassy the cat in homeward bound movie. She was an absolute doll. She was a little feisty and lived up to be 17. She was the runt of the litter but didn't stop me from cherishing her when I had saw her under her mother. It's been quite some time since she was alive and now I really would enjoy getting another Himalayan. They are really adorable and the lilac ones are stunning. Easily my favorite breed of cat ^^
I once had a flame-point rescue Himmie that was the best cat ever. At the rescue center, he came and sat on my lap, proclaiming "I adopt YOU!" He was playful, cuddly, and learned to happily walk on a leash in about 5 minutes. WONDERFUL cat! =^..^=
My Himalayan is a 10 year old sweet heart. His name is CocoaPuff and I love him with all my life. Even the people who hates cats seem to love our cat with their hearts. And his attitude is almost like a dog.
Best cat I ever had was my himmy. She's been gone since the early 90's and I still think about her alot. Very laid back, sweet natured and chill. But I hated seeing that little girl picking up those kittens like that. Don't let such tiny kids manhandle animals, they could hurt them (the kittens could be hurt I mean) without meaning to. Small children don't have the coordination to be gentle enough.
Himmy's are simply the very best cat you could ever own... Growing up, my mother used to breed Seal and Blue points... I've been spoiled having the very best cats with the very best personalities my whole life...

xXxGlassxAngelxXx He is a snowshoe, but he's Seal pointed. There are lots of breeds that can have seal point markings but Siamese are generally the most famous for it.
I wanted a himalayan, but decided on the ragdoll. Well thats what i ended up with a fluffy sealed mitted raggie girl named Sukie. Shes laid back and one heck of fluffin furball

I had a Himalayan many yrs ago, peek-a-boo,he was my best friend ,he unfortunately died at an early age of just about 9 yeah old. As I'm reading about this breed lately I realize that my family (I was only a young teen when we got him) wasn't taking proper care of his grooming 😔 my poor boy was so infested with fleas constantly despite my ongoing efforts to rid him of those pests(even though I guess I didn't know how to properly do it). Now that I'm older and more knowledgeable about the proper care these beauties need I'm dying to get a Himalayan kitten....just not a cream w/flame point... I could never get one that looked just like my boy he will as always hold a special place in my heart
I know of a breeder of these cats she use drop of some of the kittens at my father’s animal where I work part time as chief filmmaker. Those things were beautiful. I have done school visits as The Cat In The Hat. (It is non profit so it is legal.) The first time after I was done preforming my dog came in a tutu, (she likes it) and too Himalayan kittens wearing bow ties. I let the kittens keep them.
Just a note if you plan to get one. These guys HATE closed doors. They absolutely, positively like to get with their people and they'll cry if a door happens to separate them from you. They are clingy, needy lil' guys. But that's okay. Having a cat that actively seeks you out is pretty cool.
I have two Himi' s and I love them more than anything in the world. They're fantastic but expensive pets. Expensive to buy and to care for but they are worth every penny. Truly if you can and will afford them, there is no better friend in the world. DONT BUY ONE IF YOU DONT INTEND TO DO ALL THAT IS REQUIRED TO OWN AND KEEP ONE. DO IT AND I PROMISE YOU WILL LOVE THEM AND YOURSELF FOR STARTING THE RELATIONSHIP
I have a all Black Himalayan! She’s beautiful and she is 8yrs old , I took her in because her previous owner died and so happened I lost my calico cat in September and I really heartbroken and my friend’s , friend had pass away which the owner was her sister she had a cat and she needed someone to take her , she didn’t want to take her to the shelter, so I took her in ❤️🐈⬛, her name is Samantha in which my calico was named Samantha too
Best animal I've ever owned without a doubt. Personality of a dog and a sloth combined and the cutest cat in existence.
RIP Billy.
I am sorry for your loss
Kyle Giffin What a great description--sounds like my kind of cat! How long did Billy live for? May he rest in cat heaven.

My sister had her for 5 years. You should get one, they are the sweetest cats

Yup. This describes my parent's cat so well. A lot of upkeep but very affectionate.

how do you shave Himalayan cat.
