throwing the spears hold right mouse button down, aim and release finally got around to watching and continuing this episode and catching up with other videos, thanks for taking the time for another awesome episode BlondeDon 🙂 and i look forward to the next one
@@BlondeDon yeah it could be a bug tbf... still has a lot of work to do to optimise and add new stuff in it could be the throw spear ability may be either locked behind a skill point, or it could be the objective got put in ahead of the ability by mistake
I don’t know if you’ve figured it out yet or not, but you can’t throw normal spears. There are separate “Throwing Spears” that you craft that are like javelins
I've not watched a lot of your Icarus content but this has piqued my interest. I was also hoping to see a montage and I was not disappointed. Thanks BDG
I don't know about in Icarus, but most games the spear is a 2 handed weapon, no shield can be equipped, the throwing knifes are the ones you can throw. I might be wrong but been playing many games, this seems to be some sort of unspoken rule

I've played a bit on Prometheus and I think the hardest aspect to it is that you're never really safe. With Olympus and Styx, once you get a base up, you're usually pretty good, and once you get a bow or some ranged weapon, not many animals can hurt you. Prometheus is not the same. The biome you're in is the safest and I've found oftentimes I'm pushed to the edge of what I can do simply because I don't have the materials, even in the safest biome. My first drop, I landed in the northeast section of the map and surprisingly I died due to a lack of oxygen, not a creature or water, though I had some close calls. Inventory management takes on a whole new meaning on this map for sure.
Been debating on buying this DLC though a part of me feels bad doing it since I bought it originally thinking I was going to get all this, then have to pay almost a new game price again for the content.. even then this map, for the most part, feels like Styx but with a very strong red/pink color grade and a few new animals, nothing surreal or "otherworldly". Even in styx you get some monsters and the "cave worms" that are more annoying than dangerous. To me the best part of this game, besides how beautiful it is, was the weather.. I wish other games had this realistic of weather, especially the "flash storms" Would love to see more games have thunderstorms that are truly a sight to see.
I love your videos but sometimes....bro....you gotta read some stuff. You're just eating whatever the hell you have, but you need to maximize your bonuses. The bacon gives you a 15 percent exp bonus, stacks with the prime meat bonus, then the regular meat, and all three of those last longer than cooked veggies with higher other bonuses. Carrots without a ranged weapon doesn't do you much good for a projectile bonus, and while the extra stamina is good, the benefits on the other food outweigh it.
I don’t know if you’ve found the answer about throwing spears, and I’m unsure if you can throw a workshop spear, but you hold down right mouse button to aim and throw spear

an iron sledgehammer will allow you to harvest the clay deposits (new building material) in the swamp. Also, great videos!

I use the carbon Spear and it does heaps of damage sometimes over 3k crit
Right click and hold to aim spear for throwing

Yeah I was trying that too but it wasn't working. It might be the type of spear I think
