Copos and granizados are popular with children, and they are made to be eaten probably once or twice a year, since you consume like 4 times the daily sugar intake in just a few minutes, costa rica's life expetancy is the second highest in the entire continent just behind Canada, so even bad foods like these are fine if you eat them once in a while, just don't eat chicharrones and eggs and sirope de kola everysingle day.
If you at that every day, your heart would explode I think!

When you went to the drink spot “Copos”, the lady kept laughing because you weren’t understanding…she is ‘la negra’ (the black woman) and she’s selling copos a snowflakey drink 🤷🏾♀️☺️
