This is the Google Pixel 8 Pro and it was released last year. I have been using this phone as my daily for the past 100+ days, how's it holding up? How's the battery, how's pixel life, hoe's the camera, how's it all going? The honeymoon phase of gadget reviews is over but you still need a phone, and the pixel 8 pro should be on your list. When my phone is around 20 - 30% it'll take 25 -30 min to reach 80-85 charge which more than enough for lasting the entire day, I think charging speed is fast enough
Same here . If you have the upgraded charger the pixel charges fast AF

Good review! I got my 8 Pro though a carrier deal and my AARP membership. I got the 256gb for the same payments I was making on my Pixel 6. Early upgrade feature. And I use the temperature sensor in combination with my Fitbit account that's connected to my Pixel Watch. It's a decent enough screen and my carrier wanted another Samsung in exchange for the S24 so that's a no go for me but kudos to Samsung I've owned their phones before, they're awesome but I'm very happy with my 8 Pro. I look forward to doing some more photography with it and I play Call of Duty Mobile too.

Oh, you should have been more specific. Was referring to the time widget on my Home Screen . You should have said screen on time widget 😂
The temp sensor is def meant for someone like me with 3 kids who is always sick.
For sure. Everyone I know who has the P8P never touched the sensor (no kids or teenages now)
The G3 is made to learn as time goes on. It's an AI chip, not a gaming chip. As for the temperature, it's really useful and works just as well as one from the store. I used it on myself when I got covid, and it was accurate.
You are lying yourself, just as google and Samsung are lying their customers.
My daughter is 21 and is highly susceptible to fevers and she loves the temperature sensor. I've always had every Nexus phone and she grew up with every one . When she saw the Bay 8 pro she instantly bought it and upgraded from her 6 pro . I ended up with the s22 ultra because I couldn't get a 512 GB 6pro. With Samsung I immediately disabled the Samsung store and everything Samsung and loved it . This year when my contract ends I plan on the 8 pro 512gb myself. We just love everything about pixels and I love the way they do everything.

I use wireless charge to charge my phone I’ll I’m busy because it’s convenient. I’ve never worried or cared about wireless charging speed lol

This is really bad the wireless chg, like compared to s24 series. I Am so glad I got rid of my pixel 7 pro in the process, in exchange for s24 ultra. Pixels never worked for me,bad software, unstable o/s for pixels
The reason why they won't improve face unlock to be like face id is because neither are as secure as a fingerprint scanner. It might have been back when apple dropped fingerprint for face ID, but not so much anymore.
Fake news. Pixel 4xl had a better face unlock than face ID. Companies in USA are cheap and won't put it u less demanded by customers. Asian market is loaded with face ID-like u lock on android phones.
@@TheJabberTech You do know Apple the only company that uses face ID is a USA company right? Samsung is not a USA company. Google, doesn't put it in because it's not as secure as a fingerprint. And no not fake news when you're trained in cyber security. a hacker can do more with a facial scan than they can do with a fingerprint.

Had my pixel 8 pro for 2 weeks now, traded in my 22ultra for 420 pounds and payed 510 pounds cash id say thats a great deal, absolutely loving my first pixel had zero problems so far.
$300 difference between the pixel 8 pro and the s24U... Not worth it. At all. And in Canada it's more than $300. So no thanks Samsung.
you're thinking short term. maybe you forgot already but the trade in value for the Pixel 7 Pro when the P8P came our was $274. right now google increased it to 360 during the promo run they have right now but unless you paid half price for this phone it's a major loss considering p9p is right around the corner.
at least with samsung you Will get half the value of the phone by this time next year

Well, if a Pixel 4a can run great today, I would not worry about TG3. It's just common sense ! There are tons of old midrange phones out there.
My 5a feels slow to me. I’m not saying it won’t run but it’ll be really slow and def like a low-end phone

Usually you are on point with case reviews but you lost me on the true lack of explanation of how the Pixel 7 Pro feels "cheesy" and non-flagship like.....
It doesn't feel premium at all. Compare it to the s23 ultra and you notice the build quality just isn't there. The 8 Pro finally gives that premium in hand feel IMO

The pixel 6 pro build quality definitely doesn't feel cheezy to me. It definitely feel like a premium flagship device. But you certainly have a right to your opinion.

I have have the P8P .The still pics are good and that's about the only good thing about this aggravating phone not ready for prime time.Video zoom totally unacceptable.Text window glitchy,raise to wake slow or not at all,text mike stays on after sending a message filling up with thousands of words if radio or tv is on,and often after connecting to a call and I need to press a number the screen starts flashing on and off.Iv'e spent hours online and phone with support .Huge waste of time
Still to this day the 6 pro and 7 pro feel more premium than the 8 pro

Traded in my galaxy note twenty ultra got the pixel 8 pro for 200 bucks.

Biggest regret buying this phone!!!!, No USB-c to HDMI, only cast not mirroring, gets ridiculously hot, doesn't charge while playing games, Bluetooth sounds goes on mute, can't remove Google widget or the top widget, can only keep text you copied for 1 hour. Avoid this phone, I'm trying to sell mine

Yh, my Samsung I can keep 100s of things on the clipboard for unlimited time, u can't have more than 1 on this for more than an hour and it uses so much power for gaming it don't charge while playing
