This is one of my all-time favourite songs. The lyrics paint a beautiful but mysterious picture while telling a vague story that can be interpreted many ways. Somehow in that darkness but also in the chords and melody I find something really powerful and deeply moving. The Jimi Hendrix cover is obviously an essential and important part of the song's history as well. Probably the best cover of any song, ever. I've played this song for well over 15 years now and I never get tired of it. I hope you enjoy :)
Written by Bob Dylan and originally released on his album John Wesley Harding in 1967. Famously covered by the Jimi Hendrix Experience on the album Electric Ladyland in 1968.

There is not an ounce of soul or character exhibited during any of there covers. All this proactive and it so exhaustingly tired and uninspired. WOT - waste of time and talent. Forty years in the industry and no magic shown.

I might sound like I'm exaggerating, but I truly believe he is one of the greatest solo performers I have ever seen. I can't think of any other artist who I enjoy listening to more. And he pulls this off with just a guitar and his voice. Nothing but love and admiration for Corey.

Whenever I get home, I put this song and I play with him along, he's making me a better guitarist everyday.
This is not a cover. It is reimagination of the masterful song writing skills of the Great Bob, combined with VIRTUOSO playing and singing skills, and the result is a uniquely new song. Thx a bunch, Corey. Amazing vdo. I boggles my mind that the music business can exist today, selling low-to-no-talent beyond sex appeal when there is REAL TALENT like extraordinary Corey who sits in an apartment, alone, and makes REAL ART.
That balanced, warm, soft "thwack" is what I'm looking for in a guitar from this day forward. Fantastic playing btw

The thing is that Corey’s such a master of the acoustic guitar he makes literally every cover sound like it was written for the acoustic guitar.

I only pressed like once because I can't do it a hundred times. This cover is a good example of how we can take a "simple" song and add our own flair to it. It sounds great!
