Retro PrePlay 35 - Tomb Raider

Hey Retro Gamers, welcome back to Retro PrePlay!
In these 15-to-30ish-minute videos, I'll take a quick look at the games we'll be playing together on each upcoming episode. That way, if you can't play along for an episode, at least you get a little taste of the game in video form, plus a bit of commentary for you history or game design lovers out there.
This is a big deal. We're playing Tomb Raider for the final main episode of 2024. This 1996 3D action/adventure/platformer of the "traversal" subgenre (later dominated by such franchises as Prince of Persia, Assassin's Creed, and Uncharted) was a seminal work in gaming, and also probably a pivotal time in many adolescent boys' lives. Haha. In any case, this is a big part of gaming history and I'm excited to play more than this video shows. I hope you enjoy it!
