  • This is a video we made to help introduce people to some of the concepts in LabVIEW. LabVIEW is a programming language that was created in 1986 and has become very popular among engineers and scientists because it is almost entirely graphical. Graphical programming languages like LabVIEW are really great for people that don't like or don't understand text based languages like C++ or C#. You can do all of the things that a text based language can do but you don't have to worry about things like thread management or memory allocation. You can even create fairly powerful applications for multicore processors that truly take advantage of the different cores.
This video just introduces the basics of LabVIEW but if you want, you can actually go check out the Evaluation version at

I am in the process of creating a closed loop temperature control system for laser welding, and I am planning to use labview for interpreting the IR camera data and outputting the control voltage to the laser. As I am not familiar with any forms of programming I found this video very informative.

COOL ! Just checked out what all the fuss was about LabVIEW that all jobs I applied for keep asking for experience in it. Now I can see why !

If you don't have programming experience trying to use it's features is a nightmare, BUT, once it's put together the programs are extremely easy to navigate and use. I gave up and paid for a programmer but absolutely EVERYONE in the company I work for was able to use it effectively after the first training session

Great presentation I believe lab view is the most powerful automation application
2013 I'm planning to study advanced PLC apps with a possibility of getting my campus to consider an investment towards lab view if not I think I may just purchase the student edition in order to produce a tangible production thus exposing the interest and unlimited potential the main advantage with lab view is the solid foundation of hardware software providing high level application coding this opens the market

It is random number for showing example of numbering constant in Labview. It is not equal to 1.23. hehe.
