I love how Hypixel is protecting these scammers. "Do not tell people to report scammers [people who are breaking our rules], because we will ban you [even though you did not break any rules]."
AND! If I'd sell a Treecapitator for 800m coins, I'd get banned for Boosting/IRL-trading in a few hours. Yet these scammers manage to make tens of billions of coins in a few days, and they are NEVER banned.
The in-game report is useless, don't use that. Create a few emails and spam Hypixel with these reports.
And then they use those coins to ACTUALLY IRL trade. Don't fucking know what it is wrong with Hypixel's reporting system.

It simply doesn't work. I believe that the in-game report system just doesn't send the reports to Hypixel. If you use email, you'll get an automated response that you were wrong and don't message them again. Fucking joke. Disgusting.

as for the part that they dont get banned, there are like tens of thousands of scam reports and not so many people to review if they are scamming or just false reports

There is this really annoying scam where they party you, warp you to their housing, send a coin shop message, then kick you from the party and hosuing

okay so the last one was about to happen to me like 3 weeks ago
I was kind of tired so I basically declined after saying "Man, Im done getting scammed for today, Please leave me alone"

I literally got that portal trap scam happen to me today, the guy was so surprised when I told him exactly how the scam works before he did it on me, then I visited him and yep, I was in a portal trap.
This scam happened to me awhile back, around a year ago. This guy told me he needed help transferring and he gained my trust, pulling the old "yeah scammed suck" making me more inclined to believe him. I lost around 30m in armor and pets, and when I tried to list the dctr papers they never ever sold. I can't remember the guys name and I'm on a new profile now, just wanted to share this.
With the mod being used in the original video that shows the values clicking R on the item shows what npc it can come from or the crafting recipe. So easy to avoid lol

i got scammed the other day, they were in the dungeon hub and said "first one to give me a normal egg gets 500m", then I instabuy an egg and it was 50m
Most of the ah scams can be avoided if you get NEU, since it can tell you if you're buying/selling the item at a lower or higher price and it tells you the real amount, so you have to go out of your way to confirm that you understand that you acknowledged this
for the tree cap one, if ur someone that actually has a brain and click slowly, not only the scammer loses a bunch of money and u make profit too

Bro has the mod that lets you know the raw craft cost, which had already mentioned upon hovering your cursor to the items. Should've seen that coming tbh.

You know what’s funny? You can make a little profit off these scammers.
For the first one, get a friend to list the collateral item at like 1/5th the price the scammer says they are worth. When the scammer buys them, dip with your profit.
For the second one, you can buy all the low price ones, but make sure to check the price or have a mod that stops you from buying high price items
And for the third one, say you don’t trust the scammer and have them buy a low tier item for much more then it’s worth
if we all did this when we see one of these scammers, we can edge off their profit!!

this quick buy scam ALMOST happend to me while lowballing, i was lowballing a livid, they had trans limit, they put it up for 140m instead of 14m i clikced it but the "are you sure screen thing went up"

My friend does f6 carries and one time he got ratted but then 2 days later the guy who stole his acc, his boss (the guy he works for) got threatened to be doxed.

Even if you report them they wont get banned. Its literally a self-report for your own stupidity to not check auction house price first.

I saw a scam that would basically hack into your account and then you loose everything not only money. Obviously I didn't fall for it but basically they invite you to a discord e.g. for dungeons vc or similar where you need to verify that you re not a bot by logging in to a "hyAuth" bot which when you do it will ask you for a one time log in code which when you type it in the scammer can login with the code an do whatever he wants ... Pretty scary one imo

ok so the 1st one was pretty basic and avoidable but my mind was blown with the second one , i expected something like an item with the same name as treecap lol. the 3rd is pretty big brain too but needed a lot of setup.

The 1st one can be easily avoided if you googled the item you are trading for instead of trusting people who say "trust me on this one"

That first scam has got me before.
At least for the first scam the mods should also show raw craft cost aka the price from the npc if you hover over the item.

the quick buy scam i got scammed for god pots for 50m one, bro was listing like 20 of them for 500k but one of them was actually at 50m, and i bought it...
I dont know how known it is but a worse scam that I unfortunately fell for is people advertising discord channels to join in dungeon finders and once in the discord channel it has you “link” your account to verify you but its a scam to gain access to your email and your Minecraft account. Some of these scams are easy to avoid because they’re in server that very clearly was recently created but I got scammed because the server I fell for had 40k something people in it. It can also lead to the scammers being able to lock you out of your computer depending on if your email is linked to your computer
Same, luckily I got my account back though, even though my name was "beamedbypelcat52" for a month afterwards so that was embarrassing lol

Someone tried to pull the treecap scam on me while i was lowballing. Im now 2m up and feeling proud that i always double check.
personally i have found out about these scams and i am way to cautious about stuff like this so when a scammer came up to me with the first scam and i took about an hour to find where the hell he got these things eventually i did find it and reported him but the second one ive never been hit by it because im too broke to do that and still no matter what i look at the prices to see if they are all a good price

Hypixel just needs to add a report system to this, it wouldn't be hard to entroduce, and it would effictivly kill scamming. I have no idea why they haven't done this already

its crazy that i dont fall for these scams but i literally fall for the most obvious ones ( givning ur stuff without collat)
a scam happened to me like 4 or 5 months ago, a guy told me to put ANCIENT on a wither googles (idk what i was thinking), i were helpfull so i just tried to help him, the guy told me the wither googles had bobim time 5 (or some enchantment that cost around 100m), the guy asked for collat, and i gave him my legendary bal pet (i still miss it), a scarf grimoire, and a fresh new storm set, then the guy "lagged in the trade", then he switched the wither googles with bobim time to a normal wither googles (they still had wisdom 5 and some t6 enchantments).
in the end he asked me to put the wither googles for 5m and he would return an item (obviusly i didnt do it, it would be a massive loss and a second scam, so... thats why how i purchased for 100m a wither googles)
anyways, the karma was good because 4 days later i got a handle in my 4th f7 run

Imagine what kind of person you’ll grow up to after spending your teenage years finding ways to scams people and to rob them of their hard work…
Honestly people got to be more careful, if you are taking part in any things where you are lowballing or helping someone do something, you should just be aware, most smart and careful people will never get scammed, so as much as the scammers are bad people, if you get scammed, it is most likely your fault.
The second scam is why I don’t carry too much money in my purse nowadays

For the quick buy scam, if you know what you are doing you can just buy all the cheap ones and leave the expensive one for free profit lol, I always do this

I was scammed by someone who coded an entire hypixel forum reputation page had hundreds of fake bots and UA-camrs
Ive fell to the same scam with the treecaps but with kismet feathers which led me to quit

2:40 I check the wiki for source of obtainment for an estimated value to double check that value
Just saying but when you relist an item it will have a different auction uuid so it won't 'replace' the old auction at an inflated price.
Also the auction API only updates once per minute so if the API was updated and then you auctioned and item and cancelled it in the next api call it will not show up as an active auction.

My friend was having a bad day and decided to make himself happier by getting a Hyperion. He fell for the 2nd scam and lost all of his coins... I did happen to get 50m and give it to him though

the first one happened to me, but I was streaming to a public discord with about 100 people watching and a friend polar confronted him and the scammer lost brews and my items so what should I do with the extra items..
The first one. Jokes on u i never do profile transfers cuz i tell them that can get them banned for profile boosting.
There is a new scam today I fell for where a player will buy out the entire stock of for example ( mutant nether wart ) from the bazar and then set a sell order for 10m each. And I bought loads today accidently to fill a garden visitor order and realised it cost me 60 mil and lots other ppl fall for it too because many people automatically think the price will be 100k and not look before buying
