Justin, the creative director of this MV, said they know the song is sensual so he wanted to make the MV quirky and weird with a choreography that's totally different from their usual swag and intense moves. The choreography might seem funny but it's actually difficult to execute as it needs discipline, control and precision for it to look polished like they did. Otherwise it'll look stupid and messy. And to think that they planned and executed the MV and choreography just within 7 days! Please watch their behind the scenes vlog for this 😊

The concept is they are doing a synchronized swimming that's why the choreo is quite different from the norm. They are not singing or smiling because it's hard to do when you are dancing underwater. You have to hold your breath. 😂Btw, their goggles are sponsored by IDEAL VISION. 🤓

They have a vlog of the making of the MV. trust justin, the creative director, to come up with something quirky😅. He kinda provided a brief explanation of the concept - the feeling of too much that makes you do foolish/crazy/quirky/odd things, something out of character. Thats what i got from what he said 😅. Justin probably got the idea for the choreo as an interpretation for the first stanza of the song. It says they try not to show it thus the poker faces, but their desires is overcoming their emotions thus the crazy dance. Though they are trying to play it cool but deep inside they are going crazy with desire and longing for their partner.

Apparently concept is swimming pool which evokes synchronised swimming and Justin wanted it to be quirky as you become silly when in love. It’s I WANT YOU PT2. As if you follow the lyrics relate to the words you can deduce what invariably happens when a couple does what they do in the moonlight and the circle and when they bop up and down refers to conception and one fan said ,when Pablo walks out. When I first heard it on Spotify, I thought we're gonna have another IWANTYOU choreo type. The lyrics is dirty. But then again, SB19 does things unpredictable things everytime. Justin is behind that quirky and fun MV concept and the dance choreo was made by Sir Jay, the choreographer of GENTO.

SB19 has me so wrecked that when is saw that I regretted buying 2 new specs from a different brand 😂 No other artist had me buying stuff because they endorse their product. But now I buy Pizza Hut, shop at Puregold, bought the Christmas special ice cream from Selecta, and even thought for a minute about switching phone brand 😂😂😂 I draw the line with my phone though. It's a fun, quirky video and deviates very much from the usual type of dances that SB19 does. According to Stell the way they kept their poker faces was that the one who was not able to keep in character would be the one to pay for the expense of the MV. If you notice they were not singing in the vid but the focus was placed on whoever member was supposed to be singing. 😊💙

Hi. I believe the lyrics connect to the video. My take is that MOONLIGHT is all about the surface vs. what it conceals underneath. 🎑
1. Justin starts with the line "It's in the moments when your face is next to mine but WE DON'T SHOW IT but we're thinking of the times". That's why they're all wearing vacant expressions. Those blank faces hide what they're actually thinking/feeling internally.😐💭🤪
2. Then Josh continues with the line "So PUT IT IN MOTION, my desires taking over my emotions". So even if they wear poker faces to mask what they're feeling and thinking, their desires are translated/put in motion -- that is, the dancing. Justin, who conceptualized the MV, says (in the behind-the-scenes vlog) that he thought that extreme pleasure/joy or overwhelming desire can cause one to go "out of control", thus it spills out of them as the "crazy"/quirky/weird choreography. 🕺
3. Later Pablo goes: "Show me what you do, I'll keep it SECRET." And then Stell: "We can't HIDE the feelings in between us, just you and me..." Again, the song's theme of the public exterior that we show the world vs. our private/secret selves that we only reveal to a few. 🤫
4. Justin also said that Moonlight sounds like a dance tune, but the lyrics are actually sensual. So right there, there's the theme of how things seem on the surface vs. what you find when you actually dive into it. 🤿

The choreographer of this dance is Jay that also choreograph in Gento dance. The concept director of this is Justin.
