I don't like riding you friend but have you ever seen one of those cutting wheels explode ? You really have to think about looking after yourself with PPE so you don't lose an eye or worse. I was in trades for many years , one day you're going to find out the hard way. Just something to think about , you're a smart young guy , hate to see you get messed up.
@@ScrapFarm - yep, all those silly people who insist that eye protection is important actually know nothing at all, those giddy safety freaks, the heck with 'em and their nonsense... sigh...
@@ScrapFarm Bert' I'm with you on "they don't explode" BUT if someone drops the grinder with a slicer wheel on it and it later comes loose from the hub portion...it can be a real party. Nice change out, BTW.
Bert ,you have the hands and the eyes to do variables jobs, keep going, remember to protect them to improve your way in life. PS It look as if it was big trailer until I saw the wheels and your hands。Christmas toy making for you now. No bees yet.
Look at you go Bert!! Throw a lil mud on them axles and you’d never know it didn’t come stock like that!! Great job brother!! Keep on keepin on.. Stay safe and eat a blackberry or 4 for me down here in KY!! Lol
Hi Bert. I had a trailer like that.I didnt blow the tires but bent the axle pretty bad. Bert, i learned the hard way. Always wear safety glasses, its cheaper than the eye doctor,( to get the metal out of my eye). Always wear gloves, good leather ones, its cheaper than doctors stitches. Man, id spring for some good work boots. Hot slag on toes sucks. Scrap iron and crocs dont get it. I like wearing work boots. Mine are comfortable. Rev.
I'll guarantee someday Bert will say I wish I had listened . Those crocs will wreck your feet as well in time , wait till you get tendonitis . Need good work boots with what you do.....just sayin :D
Bert I thought the wheels were placed different on each side but then you turn the cart up the right way and it’s perfect, I should have known lol, best wishes from Tony in Dublin Ireland 🇮🇪.
Hi wreckless. Im a mechanic and hate gloves. I never wear them. Only when welding, i always wear them, now. I was building a woodsplitter from scratch. One that attatches to the front of a bobcat. Using a 7in. grinder, the grinding disc exploded. A big chunk flew by my head knocking my hat off. Another big chunk slapped the back of my hand. Lucky i had welders gloves on. My hand swelled up and was black and blue. It was sore for a month. No glove=emergency room. Now when grinding a always wear gloves. I have three grinders, and use them often. Rev.
@@waynegouin939 I'm with Reckless.... if you use the right hand side of the disc and shoot the Sparks at you making the grinder pull away from you you will never explode a disc the only time they explode is when you use the left hand side of the disc and it jumps skips bounces... on those rare occasions when you are using it correctly it can explode when the material you're cutting pinches the disc but then that's operator error. Glad you didn't get hurt and yeah you should wear gloves all the time when you're grinding or welding or doing anything but I can't feel s*** with gloves on and I can barely hold on to the tools with gloves on... so to each his own we all got our own ways
Bert nothing like getting blob of hot metal in my shoe or hot piece down my neck, it made me hop and run around like headless chicken. It was lesson I never repeated.

Great job I like these kind of videos
Good video bert
Another Cool Vid Bro!!!
Guten morgen. 👍
Well you can weld better than i can, i cant even weld crap together. lol
Pretty cool Bert 👍
Well that was really cool. Why the heck do people worry if your not wearing gloves or a helmet? It's you that will suffer the consequences, not us.
Exactly it's called the protectionist mindset...its all about your safety
You were not wearing your beard protector during any of that. Shame on you. 😁
Great job as always!
Now I know how I'm doing my garden cart
That worked out Great...
Nice job! 😊👍👍
👍😎☕🔨🔧
Add a Reducer bushing to decrease the diameter of the new rim. No welding required.
safety first bert allways :-)
thanks
I use those discs all the time and never had an issue......maybe just lucky but I always use eye protection because metal in the eye sucks.
People only have problems with them when they use them wrong

You definitely got to stay away from the rain in metal the worst is working under a car on a lift hard to not get down your neck
