Into the fire is better for that purpose, more flexible. Additionally boëts with Akroan war is kind of fine into convoke unless they draw completely cracked.
Honestly I think boëts beats so much stuff this format. Solos rakdos and mono green, is about 50/50 vs control, solitaries turn 4 vs lotus. Creativity is a very bad matchup but with the move away from wurm it’s gotten a lot better. You are super favoured vs the 2 best and most popular decks and have game against almost everything else.
This deck is producing far better than we anticipated. Hunstman in starting hand is a must. Grab a thrillseeker, pump your beast token and smash early game.
Push IS bad against convoke, almost their entire deck is stuff that makes multiple bodies except for knight and loxodon, a fog would at least let you survive a big swing and maybe kill on the swing back
@@sisterofadoom13 If you kill one of the minions chances are they cant reach their convoke number and thus give you an extra turn. If you can push again yeah you get bhind in cards but you want to stall the 4/4s as long as possible.
You maybe slow them down by a turn with push but you also might not depending on their opening and if you're spending the first couple turns casting push then you're just gonna get run over cuz you have no board. Spot removal just isn't good against the deck, you need something that affects the whole board
@@sisterofadoom13 Depends, if u push an ornithopter in response to gleeful, it's usually backbreaking. Especially on the play, fatal push is good against convoke. You also can't just rely on wipes alone cause convoke knight refills the hand. You do need some spot removal, and fatal push is the best in the format against small/mid creatures. Anyway, we can't exactly call a card "bad" if it's the best answer against the oppo's best opening.
Currently think The Filigree Sylex is the correct SB option for Gruul but haven’t tested it yet
Thrillseeker in the Ancient Imperiosaur version of Gruul could be interesting, it's probably a bit win-more, but might be one to try.
Well if you’re playing thrill seeker, is that a good enough reason to play fable in gruul now?
yeah the list that won the Dallas RC also didn't have Fable but with Thrillseeker it may be time to play it over Lovestruck Beast.
A bunch of creature has thoughtness 3+, so maybe run Kozilek's return against Boros?

The sword in the side is only vs mirror and monoG?
Yeah and mono red
Why not play Brotherhood’s End against the Boros Convoke??
BEnd is awkward in a deck that has elves and Stormseeker

hhaha thinks push is bad against convoke.. cause down a card.. wants to use fogs .. ok..

Also we're talking about cards for gruul to run in the matchup so idk why you're even bringing push up
