      Exactly. I hope Fender knows how important these two are to the success of PreSonus. The dynamic duo (Joe and Gregor) make Studio One users so comfortable with the product. They are the best ambassadors for this product.

    One problem. When track had been transformed to audio, there is no icon/label that indicates that. In case you want to transform it back to tweak some plugins - you can’t find it among other tracks. After transformation is done, this track should be labelled to be found anytime by anyone. Also great to have dedicated window that will show list of such tracks inside project, and plugins which were rendered.

    I think the perfect archive would be if the export to zip file give you the option of storing rendered audio versions as well. Even better it export the version and plug-in list into a text file so that you can review it when looking at the archive. Then if you have the plug-ins you can use the right version. If you don't have a plug-in for one track and then you can use the rendered.

    Gregor! Thank you so much for posting this video. I began using Presonus Studio One earlier this year and have been absolutely thrilled with it. About six months ago, my hard drive that contained 20 years of recording projects failed and I couldn't find my backup disk! Fortunately, I located the disk this last weekend and I spent three days converting the projects from Cakewalk to stems and then importing them into S1. Now that everything has been recovered, I was trying to figure out the best way to back everything up and your timing was perfect! This video was extremely helpful and I really appreciate everything you and Joe have posted over the years. Your presentations are very easy to understand and have made the transition to Studio One / Presonus very easy. Thank you again for sharing your knowledge with us!!! Good luck my friend!

    @Gregor, I just learned Presonus was aquired by Fender. Please tell me they don't touch your internal structures and workflows and tell you what to do. I hope it's just a business strategic thing and Presonus is still independent. Such decisions make me really nervous and I also don't understand why this was necessary.

    Thanks Greg for like always helpful tips :) Two things in my mind when watching about convert to AAF
    1. little not optimized order/flow - best S1 first do checks and show if there are issue and asking about destination dir only when everything is fine, less clicks/time waste
    2. it would be nice to include option to bounce all 'problematic' tracks not to force user every time first to watch which tracks (it could be tens...) and then prepare and return
    and option to pick some defaults for audio and midi automatic bouncing - lots of time save :)
    Only if user unhappy with default bouncing he would need to do manual/tedious work but not every time...

    Gregor - a quick tip for the corner of YT integration of links. Just remember you're refering to an element already existing, ie in the past. In occidental cultures, the past is associated to the left hand side. Watching the videos, the links pop up in the right top corner, which is YOUR left hand side when you're shooting the videos. I hope this helps :)

    Thanks for the info. I tried this on a two audio track song, and I did not get the "Convert To" option (Windows 10) in the menu. I can get the other options with the exception of "Zip File" if I do a "Save As". I would really like the zip file option....am I missing something? Thanks for all the great videos!

    Hi Gregor. Thanks so much for this and all your other videos! This is especially timely, as I am considering switching from PC to the new Mac M1 Max.
    *QUESTION:* Studio One now runs natively in Apple Silicon. Is it true that all the plugins (effects, virtual instruments) must also be able to run natively (and not in Rosetta)? For an instrument engine, such as Native Instruments Kontact, do they only have to make the player run natively, or do they also have to rewrite all the individual instruments? Thanks. Peter from Vancouver Canada.

    • @AlanScott1
      @AlanScott1 2 роки тому

      That's correct. If you want to run S1 natively in M1, the plug-ins also need to be M1 native. I still use S1 via Rosetta at the moment as many major developers have still to provide M1 compatibility. FYI - the overall performance via Rosetta is still a significant upgrade on non-M1 Macs, so running via Rosetta is not as big a deal as many would have you believe.

    • @NeuroPete
      @NeuroPete 2 роки тому +1

      @@AlanScott1 Thanks for the answer. I appreciate your comments. I think that you are correct that even running under Rosetta, the M1 Max will likely have significantly better performance than my current PC and -- very important to me -- much quieter. This gives me the option of upgrading now, if I wish. Still, I would like the full performance possible, as music production can really tax CPUs.
