Today I talk about why new cars are not selling! Learn How To Save Time And Money The Next Time You Buy A Car: benjaminhardy.... Main Review Channel: / @benhardycars
Ah….your last point was super important…quality. The quality doesn’t match the price. So manny recalls, and just not a lot of quality control. Thanks Ben.
Great video Ben! Not only has high car prices prevented people from buying cars but also the lack of affordable entry level new cars has also reduced car buying. Pre-pandemic, there were many small cheap new cars that one could buy for under 20k, now they're all gone. Even traditionally affordable cars like the Civic and Corolla are more expensive than ever!
@The Ben Hardy Show: I am grabbing a 2024 Toyota 4Runner TRD Off Road Premium while I still can. I agree with everything you said. The consumer will force the manufacturers to change.
Now days in order to sell, probably better offer with low interest rate with longer terms. Like perhaps 10 to 15 years loan terms so common sense consumers will purchase new vehicles.🤨
My youtube shorts is full of car salesmen saying how they make 6 figures just from selling cars or car salesmen giving out courses on how to make 6 figures by selling more. Heck my local Nissan dealership had 10k+ markups on the Z and said they were a high volume dealership that had no issues selling marked up cars(Honestly, They seem to be right.. They had 8 Z's on the lot and are down to 3 which are the Nismo trims with an asking price of 100k last time I was there). Meanwhile, Another dealer 20 miles away is always empty with little foot traffic still won't give up their cars for MSRP. Overall, Dealerships are awful and while I really do want a sports car I will not be over paying so the salesmen can get a 1-2k+ commission on my dime. Although it might be a tough one because every sports car I look at ends up being low inventory with high demand which puts the dealers on a high horse.
Funny how Tesla sold 1.8 million EVs at a good profit in 2023, all without a single ICE vehicle sale. That's more EVs than Ford sold in trucks. CO2 coming out of a mouth, not a solar panel.
So the same old sky is falling rhetoric as last year but yet the number are going up. Even if it is a small amount they are still going up. While I agree new quality and really 2021+ quality is down that will as the numbers show only causes older vehicles to hold and increase value which in turn will keep new units high. If a 24 is $60k with $2k off but a 25 is $65k with $4k off the price has still gone up even though the discount “doubled”
You don't use the giant screen while you're driving. Temperature, HVAC, fan speed, music and volume, phone calls, navigation and wipers can all be controlled perfectly by voice and one button on the steering wheel. Genius. Just what your smart phone and tablet computer need, more knobs, buttons and switches.😂
10% too high more around 40% to 50% too high.
More around 60-80%

Much higher credit standards in effect. Lenders are pulling back on auto loans except for borrowers with high credit.
Prices are too damn high. Quality is too damn low.
Some times I’m so smart I scare myself….😂

Get a used tundra. It’s a little bit bigger incase your family expands.
Thanks for touching on quality and reliability. People are seeing anything from a turbo failing to lifters grinding up a camshaft.
Spot on post all valid points, and recently bought a 2019 Lexus, screw the stealership game.
Thanks Ben
40% tooo HIGH

High ICE prices used to fund EV development. Government mandated inflation. They don't want us to drive - stay home. Movement creates CO2.

The fiat-chrysler are insanely expensive.
